Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close

Neither of the two sperm samples Anna Nash had sent in showed any signs of viability.

The report stated that sperm motility was zero, but because the samples were collected in condoms, the results could have been affected. It was recommended, if possible, that the subject himself go to the hospital to provide a sample.

When Anna Nash saw the results, she covered her mouth in surprise.

If there was zero motility, it meant pregnancy was completely impossible.

Therefore, this was all Silas Blackwood’s problem.

”Anna, what are you looking at?”

Silas Blackwood’s voice startled Anna Nash. She quickly turned off her phone and looked at Silas, who was wrapped in a bath towel.

She shook her head. ”Nothing, just looking at those online comments again.”

Silas Blackwood said, ”It’s upsetting to look at that stuff. Stop reading it.”

Anna Nash nodded and looked at Silas Blackwood.

And Silas Blackwood, it seemed, had no idea that he couldn’t carry on the family line.

If that was the case, an idea had already formed in Anna Nash’s mind.

Anna Nash then called Gabriel Walker. ”President Walker, can you really just swallow this insult?”

”I heard that after Ivy Sherwood left Sherwood Company, she’s planning to start her own business. Is President Walker really going to just stand by and watch Ivy Sherwood get her company off the ground?”

...

For the next few days, Ivy Sherwood was also out drumming up business. She had more or less contacted all the necessary manufacturers and signed the contracts. All that was left were the sales channels, which Ivy was also working on contacting.

But the potential sales partners, as if they had all reached some sort of agreement, were all refusing to take orders from Ivy Sherwood’s studio.

Some who had nearly finalized discussions began to back out when it was time to sign the contract, and they started avoiding Ivy Sherwood’s calls.

Ivy Sherwood wasn’t stupid. Someone was definitely pulling strings behind the scenes.

But she didn’t give up. Finally, one company relented and invited Ivy Sherwood to a restaurant for a detailed discussion.

When an opportunity arose, Ivy Sherwood naturally had to give it a shot.

The other party was very agreeable, and the conversation was quite pleasant.

Ivy Sherwood drank a lot. Even though she had taken medication to counter the alcohol beforehand, she still felt a little sick.

”If you’re not feeling well, Miss Sherwood, why don’t you rest for a bit in the room next door? Here’s the key card.”

Ivy Sherwood didn’t take it. ”Thank you, but I’m fine.”

”But Mr. Carter, do you have any other questions about the contract? If not, why don’t we sign it now?”

”Of course there are no problems. But there’s no rush to sign. Why don’t we have a couple more drinks?”

As they were drinking, that Mr. Carter pretended to lose his grip, and the red wine from his glass spilled onto Ivy Sherwood. She was wearing white, so the stain was incredibly obvious.

”I’m so sorry, Miss Sherwood. My hand wasn’t steady, and I accidentally...”

”It’s fine. I’ll go take care of it.” With that, Ivy Sherwood grabbed her bag and headed for the restroom.

Seeing Ivy Sherwood enter the restroom, a cryptic smile played on Mr. Carter’s lips.

He hurried to the private room next door, knocked, and went inside.

Ivy Sherwood went to the public restroom outside, where there were other women.

Tonight, the scented incense in the restroom seemed unusually strong.

She quickly dealt with the red wine stain on her clothes. Thankfully, she had brought a change of clothes.

Ivy Sherwood quickly changed her clothes. Just then, the restroom door was thrown open, followed by a series of screams.

”AHH! A pervert!”

”There’s a creep!”

”You lot, get out,” the man in the lead said first.

The other women quickly fled the restroom. Ivy Sherwood didn’t know these men and planned to leave as well.

However, she was blocked as she reached the door.

”Not so fast, Miss Sherwood.”

Ivy Sherwood understood. ’They’re here for me.’

”I don’t know you,” Ivy Sherwood said, calming herself quickly. She held her phone in her hand, opening the voice recorder while preparing to call the police.

The men saw her intention and snatched the phone from Ivy Sherwood’s hand, tossing it onto the floor.

”It doesn’t matter if you don’t know us. Our boss, President Walker, wants to... catch up with Miss Sherwood.”

”Move. I don’t know any President Walker!” Ivy Sherwood said coldly, her hand reaching into her bag for the small knife she always carried.

Just then, a cold laugh came from behind them. The few thugs guarding the door parted to make way.

Gabriel Walker strode over and stopped right in front of Ivy Sherwood.

Gabriel Walker looked incredibly haggard, as if he had gone through a life-or-death ordeal.

”Miss Sherwood, you certainly have a short memory for a person of such importance. You ruined me so badly, and you’ve forgotten this quickly?”

A vicious look flashed across Gabriel Walker’s face. Not only had Ivy Sherwood set him up last time, but some big shot had also been behind the scenes, messing him up this badly. ’What kind of charm did this Ivy Sherwood possess to make Quentin Blackwood himself intervene? This Ivy Sherwood was so plain-looking, not even as pretty as the hostesses at the club.’

Hearing that Ivy Sherwood had started her own company, Gabriel Walker had put the word out: anyone who dared to work with Ivy Sherwood was making an enemy of the Walker Family.

Although the Walker Family was only of average standing in Lustre, his wife was extremely powerful, so naturally, no one would dare to cross him.

This time, Gabriel Walker had arranged for someone to lure Ivy Sherwood here, all for the sake of revenge.

Last time, not only did he fail to get the woman, but he also got a beating from his wife and was utterly ruined by Quentin Blackwood.

This time, he no longer had any interest in an ugly woman like Ivy Sherwood. However, he would have plenty of other men destroy her.

”I don’t recall ever harming President Walker. Your career is soaring. How are you miserable?” Ivy Sherwood’s hand crept quietly into her bag, her expression remaining impassive.

Gabriel Walker noticed that although Ivy Sherwood was ugly, when she looked at someone like this, her eyes were exceptionally captivating.

Ivy Sherwood’s eyes were stunningly beautiful. Her long eyelashes were like two little brushes, and her pupils seemed to speak.

’What a pity,’ he thought, ’for such beautiful eyes to be on such an ugly face.’

”Ivy Sherwood, cut the crap. Either you get on your knees and apologize, serve me until I’m satisfied, and I’ll let you go, or...”

At this, Gabriel Walker paused and looked at the men he had brought with him.

”My boys here have been with plenty of women. Or we can let them... take care of you!”
