Mr. Law's Official Announcement: He is a Wife-Doting Fanatic!

The man pondered for a moment, then placed his fingers over the holes of the ocarina, blowing the first note...

Outside the window, sunlight streamed through, sifting layer upon layer of warm light through the dense green leaves of the trees.

The light enveloped Adrian Law, this man seemed to be gilded with a layer of golden glow, his sharply defined and handsome face cut out with a strong sense of art in light and shadow.

And the ancient instrument, the ocarina, as his porcelain white and slender fingers moved, poured out beautiful notes.

This scene was like something out of a dream, so magical, so fantastic.

Even though Cecilia Vaughn had already spent several months under the same roof with Adrian Law, her heart couldn’t help but skip a beat, bursting out with intense amazement.

...

But what surprised Cecilia most was not how beautiful this scene was.

It was that the tune Adrian played on the ocarina was a zither piece she had created during those three years in prison!

At that time, she created it in prison for the manga ”There are branches on the mountain,” born out of the fate of the protagonists, but it also subtly resonated with Cecilia’s state of mind during her imprisonment.

The piece started flowing and warm, but as the mood extended, it gradually wove in desolation.

Initially, it was like the sunny spring of March, but midway it fast-forwarded to a winter of ice and snow!

The ten-hole custom-made wooden ocarina, on the high notes, was exceptionally bright and majestic, like sound wrapped with wind and thunder, its cold tone also like a whirlwind that comes quickly and goes just as fast, returning from despair and sorrow to tranquility.

In the transitions of the melody, Adrian not only made several changes in tone smoothly but remarkably, even the most professional ocarina player couldn’t find a single flaw.

...

Cecilia had her hand on the Spring Thunder Zither, ready to follow along with whatever her counterpart played.

But upon truly listening, Cecilia found she couldn’t even press the first note!

Adrian played too well!

Initially, she held a mindset of wanting to see her husband make a fool of himself, but after listening to the whole piece, she was completely in awe!

”As a half-expert in zither playing, Madam, do you find your husband’s musical skills too poor and simply give up accompanying me?”

As the piece ended, Adrian Law put down the ten-hole ocarina with a faint smile, his gaze ambiguously falling on the girl’s cheeks.

The teasing in his eyes was almost overflowing.

...

Cecilia was teased by Adrian, her face immediately turning red.

Come on, although she didn’t understand the ocarina, music is a universal language, with Adrian’s level so high, how could she dare to criticize!

However, Cecilia did have some grounds for calling herself half-expert in the ancient zither.

—Ever since she bought the Spring Thunder Zither, Adrian found the most renowned master in the industry as her mentor, and Cecilia’s zither skills were already commendable, only lacking professional training. Now, with the master’s guidance, her skills were advancing towards perfection. Simply calling herself a half-expert was Cecilia being modest.

But this modesty couldn’t compare to Adrian Law, who dared to belittle his own skill as crude!

”Adrian... what on earth is inside your head? I really want to crack it open and see...”

Cecilia exclaimed with extreme admiration, glancing at the ten-hole ocarina Adrian had put down. Recalling the song just now, her heart trembled, and she looked intensely into the man’s eyes.

”I seem to remember this piece is my original creation, and I’ve only played it once on the zither in front of you, right? How is your memory so formidable? And you can improvise a score...

Really, it’s... incredibly impressive.

Faced with such a rare genius, Cecilia decided she might as well admit defeat and abandon any thoughts of showing off in front of Adrian Law.

Seeing Cecilia’s somewhat defeated look, Adrian Law smiled, half helpless, half indulgent.

He reached out and gently tapped Cecilia’s nose.

”Silly girl, everything has its specialty. You play the zither, which I’m not good at either...”

”...”

Can you even compare that?

She couldn’t play the ocarina!

Cecilia thought of Adrian’s nearly terrifying memory and ability to reproduce, and immediately hugged the Spring Thunder Zither tightly.

”You’re right! Adrian, you must absolutely never learn the zither in the future, otherwise everything I can do, you’ll be better at this will make it hard for me to find any sense of superiority...”

She didn’t want to be someone who was inferior in every way, hmph, even if it’s just some self-comfort with the ancient zither ╭(╯^╰)╮.

Adrian’s bright, clear eyes stared unblinkingly at Cecilia, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.

”Alright, alright, my little fairy is better than me in every way, you’re just deliberately going easy on me.”

”...”

This man’s obviously false flattery made Cecilia’s face immediately flush with embarrassment.

She pondered for a moment, suddenly feeling interested in naming the piece that had just played.

”Adrian, come to think of it, the piece I wrote for my manga doesn’t have a name yet. I plan to refine it and offer it as the theme for the film adaptation of ’There are branches on the mountain’. What do you think it should be called?”

The man propped his chin with one hand, pondered briefly, and a clear light appeared in his eyes.

”Why not call it ’Life’?”

”’Life’? How’s it written?”

Cecilia was surprised, unable to immediately grasp the meaning behind these two words.

Adrian Law embraced the girl, his lips gently falling on her cheek with a kiss soft beyond belief.

”It’s ’born anew’ from desperate times.”

The male and female protagonists in the manga ”There are branches on the mountain” survive countless hardships, and the composer of this piece, Cecilia Vaughn, has also faced multiple ordeals.

May she cross the seas, with her youthful heart unchanged.

Cecilia chewed on those two words for a moment, then seemed to intuitively understand Adrian Law’s intention. Her eyes, twinkling like stars, shone with infinite joy and amazement.

”Great, let’s call it ’Life’!”

No name could fit more perfectly.

—This man understands all of her creative inspiration. In this world, having someone who resonates and connects with you is such a wonderful thing.

”Since I’ve named it for you, how should Madam thank me?”

The man smiled on his own, and just as the girl was about to say something, she felt Adrian Law’s tall, slender frame suddenly lean on her!

”Hey!—”

This perv!

Cecilia was helpless as she held her forehead, yet her flushed lips couldn’t help but meet the man’s...

The winter sun lingered on.

Two young hearts drew closer under the sunlight...

Tender, filled with deep emotion.

...

A new week began with a class from the male version of the Iron Nun.

Cecilia arrived early, as the Iron Nun was ruthless; being late would result in mild public shaming or, worse, failing the course.

However, just as she reached the campus gate, a somewhat full-figured woman stopped her, with a voice both pitiable and sharp.

”Cecilia! Please! Give your dad and me a way out, do you really want to drive us to death?!...”

Cecilia paused, lifting her head to see Florence Warner’s face.

She immediately frowned.

Nearby students heading for early classes also turned to look at the scene...
