Rebuilding the Immortal Cultivator Clan

Chapter 1520: Chapter 1229: Infiltration

Li Chengsheng and Li Chengshuo’s conferral of these twenty-four divine positions is also linked to time, and has a close relationship with mortal agriculture.

They are called the Twenty-four Solar Terms Gods.

The reason for this is that both of them wanted to experiment with combining human Dao gods and natural gods, to see their strengths and weaknesses, which would facilitate certain future plans.

Initially, in the Divine Path, there was no distinction between human Dao gods and natural gods.

However, as the number of gods among the human race increased, especially with the Human Dao Dynasty beginning to consume luck and confer their own gods, this classification emerged.

Natural gods, like the Wind God, Water God, Mountain God, etc., need not be elaborated upon—they all belong to this category.

Among human Dao gods, the most representative is naturally the City God, who protects the peace of a city’s mortals and manages local records of life and death, water and drought, good and bad fortune, and various other aspects!

Besides these, there are also the Gate God, God of Stove, and others.

Initially, these dynasty gods were not acknowledged by the Heavenly Court, but as various kingdoms and dynasties began to confer gods, they became an indelible force.

Most importantly, their existence has been recognized by the Heavenly Dao, becoming an inseparable part of the Divine Path.

Thus, eventually, the Heavenly Court sent emissaries to negotiate with the major dynasties to incorporate these gods into the Heavenly Court, at the cost of granting the rulers of the dynasties a titular divine position.

At the same time, these human Dao gods, as before, only heed the orders of their human Dao rulers.

Additionally, in the future, when human Dao confers gods, half of the luck no longer has to be wholly provided by themselves, as the Heavenly Court will supplement the other half.

The benefit that the Heavenly Court gains is the assimilation of a great number of gods, a surge in luck, and a façade of authority over the human Dao!

This aspect leaves a great deal of room for maneuver in the future.

Moreover, incense has become increasingly important to the gods, not only as a form of transaction currency but also for crafting divine artifacts, displaying Divine Power, and more.

It is known that within the Primal Spirit Realm, the human race provides the most and purest incense.

After the collaboration between the Heavenly Court, the major kingdoms, and dynasties, it is unknown how much more incense can be harvested each year.

Overall, this partnership leaves both parties very satisfied, both feeling they have profited significantly.

Speaking of which!

This conferring of the twenty-four Solar Terms Gods by Li Chengsheng and Li Chengshuo is the fusion of natural gods and human Dao gods.

The solar terms do not change due to human Dao; they exist inherently between heaven and earth. However, the solar terms play a significant role in human Dao, being a crucial component for guiding agricultural production, and at the same time, supplementing the calendar and time.

In terms of positional hierarchy, the Twenty-four Solar Terms Gods are slightly higher than the previous Sun Hour Gods and Moon Time God, and, with the blessing of human Dao, their future development should also be much better.

“We have not fully perfected these twenty-four Solar Terms Gods because there are subtle differences in the solar terms in each region, so you need to personally travel to various places to perfect the divine positions.”

The twenty-four divine positions formed by Li Chengsheng and Li Chengshuo were crafted using a clever method, therefore this is merely an introduction, not complete divine positions.

After all, the two of them do not have the time to travel throughout the entire Primal Spirit Realm to collect information from every place.

“You shouldn’t feel that this matter is arduous and difficult either; it’s also a test, and when you complete it, that will be the day you break through to the Realm of Human Immortality.”

Li Chengshuo spoke, “Of course, there is a clever and easy method, which is for you to continue conferring subordinate gods to gather information.”

But by doing so, breaking through to Human Immortal will not be so easy.

“Thank you, Divine Master, for your guidance!” said the newly conferred Solar Terms Gods, with eyes brightened upon hearing these words, realizing this was a path with clear accomplishments.

The other subordinate gods were even more envious, as many of them were troubled about how to break through the Individual Immortal Realm, while others could achieve the Realm of Human Immortality smoothly.

“Other subordinate gods, don’t lose heart. If there are more divine positions in the future, selections will surely be made from among you, and even without high-level divine positions, you can still improve yourself through cultivation.” Li Chengsheng said gently, comforting everyone.

“Yes.”

Though they didn’t know when that day would come, it at least gave them a glimmer of hope.

The two’s subsequent conferral of subordinate gods caused quite a stir, and naturally couldn’t be concealed from other gods. Everyone was curious about where they acquired so many divine positions and how they could be so generous, with a total of forty-eight divine positions all given to subordinate gods.

Once this news spread, it was not the high and mighty great gods who reacted the most, but the numerous small gods; they all lamented not being chosen.

Many gods even developed other thoughts, wanting to become their subordinate gods.

However, it’s a pity that Li Chengsheng and Li Chengshuo had long abandoned the notion of accepting subordinate gods, so any attempts to join them from the start were never viable.

The newly minted twenty-four Solar Terms Gods left the Heavenly Court, forming small teams to travel around, gather information, and strive to perfect the divine positions.

These Solar Terms Gods were very well received by the Human Dao Dynasty, as agriculture is fundamental to a nation, and they are closely related to agricultural production.

Thus, when they were in the realms of the Human Dao Dynasty, local dynasties cooperated well and provided significant assistance.

However, when they reached the realms of the Immortal Tao, the cultivators’ attitude towards them was much colder. They didn’t offer assistance, but neither did they obstruct.

But this was still considered good; their real trial would come when they entered the West Continent, Southern Domain, and Northern Domain!
