Rebuilding the Immortal Cultivator Clan

Chapter 1500: Chapter 1219: Life and Death

On this day, Li Zhirui convened the clan leader and all the elders, gathering together in the family hall.

Before he arrived, the elders were full of curiosity, discussing amongst themselves, guessing his purpose for calling everyone together.

”Ancestor Rui hasn’t meddled in family affairs for years, yet this time he’s making such a big display; there must be something very important to discuss.”

”I think so too, but the family’s development is thriving, there doesn’t seem to be any issues.”

They truly believed the family’s progress was excellent in terms of strength, income, and other aspects, with good growth each year, unable to think of any existing problems.

It wasn’t long before Li Zhirui appeared in the hall.

”Greetings, Ancestor Rui!”

Everyone rose to pay their respects.

”Be seated. This time I gather everyone because there is indeed a matter I need you all to push forth, which is the abolition of the regulation of giving extra subsidies to clan members with good aptitudes!”

This statement startled everyone suddenly, unable to understand what issue there was with this benefit arrangement for the clan members.

”I don’t know if you have noticed, but many clan members actually sell the subsidies given by the family privately, using them for indulgence instead of putting the resources to rightful use!”

Li Zhirui’s expression was extremely serious; despite not releasing any pressure, he made everyone feel a stifling sense of oppression, and the light-hearted atmosphere in the hall instantly vanished, with the elders subconsciously softening their breaths.

”It’s not that one can’t indulge; it’s not necessary to do pure cultivation, bitter cultivation, but how many of the new generation clan members have had their disposition and Dao Heart corrupted in this process!”

”Their current development might be good, but what about the future? You should know that the higher the cultivation, the more important their disposition and Dao Heart become. If they continue like this, forget reaching the Immortal Realm, even Integration and Mahayana will be challenging!”

Li Guangjie immediately rose and bowed: ”Ancestor Rui, calm your anger. It was due to our inadequate supervision that these issues arose.”

”Ancestor Rui, please calm down!”

All the elders stood up and bowed their heads.

”Ultimately, it cannot be blamed on you, after all, such habits are not formed overnight.”

Li Zhirui waved his hand, using mana to help everyone rise, speaking earnestly: ”You must not just look at the surface. Although the family is developing well now, how many forces have vanished in the long river of history? Do not focus only on immediate interests; set your sight further.”

”Ancestor Rui instructs well, we shall remember in our hearts and will correct it as soon as possible!” Li Guangjie pledged.

”By canceling the extra subsidies, the surplus spiritual objects can be used as rewards, encouraging the clan members to cultivate diligently and progress in cultivation.”

This can also prompt some clan members to devote more thought to cultivation, not just breaking through in cultivation but also in various cultivation techniques.

In short, it is to erase as much as possible those bad habits among the new generation of clan members.

Li Zhirui also expressed another idea of his: ”Additionally, the various large and small competitions held within the family should be taken more seriously going forward, not just a formality or a going-through-the-motions.’

This internal competition method can better stimulate the clan members’ desire for cultivation.

When the family initially established big and small competitions, besides honing the clan members’ combat ability, it also had this intention.

But over the years, many things have changed.

”This idea is excellent! Moreover, it’s even more fair.”

Li Guangjie suddenly brightened, nodding repeatedly: ”Thank you, Ancestor Rui, for offering these insights. It’s been hard on you.”

”What’s so hard about this for me? It’s just moving my lips. The ones exerting effort are you all; it’s you all who have it tough.”

Li Zhirui waved his hand, leaving just one more statement before disappearing from the hall, ”If obstacles arise in implementing this, just say it was my arrangement. If still unresolved, come find me or have Da Qing, Xiaoqing, among others, to appear.”

It was evident he indeed provided the greatest support to Li Guangjie and the others, even mentioning taking personal action.

”You all heard, didn’t you? Ancestor Rui places great importance on these two matters. Make sure they are done well, without any errors; otherwise, if we really need to ask the ancestors to step in, we will lose all face, not to mention our positions will become unstable!” Li Guangjie warned solemnly to everyone.

”Rest assured, Clan Leader, we will exert all efforts and do everything possible to ensure it is done well!”

Everyone in the family hall deliberated for several days, finally producing a detailed, complete plan.

After resting for a while, the next day they began formal action!

The first thing to do is to announce to all clan members that starting next month, the extra subsidies for clan members with excellent aptitude will be canceled and replaced with a reward system based on breakthroughs in cultivation and achievements in techniques.

For instance, breaking through from the Nascent Soul Realm to the Divinity Transformation Realm will reward ten bottles of top-grade Spirit Pills, a free selection of a Divine Power of Divinity Transformation rank from the Scripture Pavilion, insights into Divinity Transformation Realm cultivation, and three Fifth Rank Earth Escape Talismans.

In short, the higher the cultivation breakthrough, the richer the reward.

And although each reward from the Li family is substantial, these are all one-time, equating to much more cost-effective compared to monthly extra subsidies.

Besides this, the meticulous preparation for family small and large competitions is happening.

Due to the lack of sufficient time, only one small competition will be held this year, with the big competition scheduled for next year.

Even so, the abundance of rewards for the small competition will far exceed those of previous big competitions!
