Alpha's Regret: The Seventh Time was Forever

Chapter 452: Chapter 453 - I want Voren to see me the way he sees Sera

Noelle studied her daughter carefully for several long moments. She wasn’t sure involving Daisy was the right decision.

The sorceress dealt with dark forces that always demanded something in return. Nothing she offered ever came without a heavy price. Even so, Noelle eventually nodded.

A few days later, she secretly took Daisy deep into the forest. Hidden far from the pack’s territory stood a small, eerie cabin surrounded by ancient trees. The air itself felt heavy and unnatural.

Strange symbols were carved into the wooden walls, and the strong smell of herbs drifted through the clearing.

The moment Daisy stepped inside, her curiosity completely took over. The woman before her looked mysterious, powerful, and almost otherworldly. She spoke of impossible things as though they were completely ordinary.

She claimed fate could be rewritten, memories could disappear, and destiny itself could be bent for the right price.

The more Daisy listened, the more fascinated she became. She realized that with enough sacrifice, almost anything could become possible. From that day forward, she visited the sorceress whenever she could.

The woman became someone Daisy truly trusted, perhaps because they saw the world in the exact same ruthless way. The sorceress could even appear to her in the comfort of the pack and disappear before anyone could see her.

Neither believed kindness solved anything. Both believed people simply took whatever they wanted.

Then one afternoon, Daisy wandered into Seraphine’s room. Her eyes immediately landed on a beautiful glass jar sitting near the window.

Inside swam a small golden fish, sunlight reflecting across the water and making the tiny creature shimmer like real gold.

Daisy stared at it. Then she slowly looked around the room. Everything inside belonged to Seraphine.

The beautiful bedroom, the expensive furniture, the gifts, the decorations, and all the love everyone showered on her. Every single thing reminded Daisy of the life she believed had been stolen from her.

One thing led to another and Seraphine discovered things she shouldn’t have. When she escaped Noelle, Daisy was there in the woods, smashing the glass jar with the golden fishes on her head.

When Seraphine fell unconscious, Daisy sort the help of her friend, the sorceress. The sorceress calmly looked down at her. ”What happened?”

”I need her blood,” Daisy said, struggling to steady her breathing. ”So she can’t die.”

A knowing smile slowly appeared on the woman’s face. ”There are always consequences when magic is involved, my little friend.” She gently folded her hands together. ”So... what do you want in return?”

Daisy didn’t hesitate for a second. ”I want her to forget Voren.” Hatred filled every word. ”And I want her to forget everything that happened today.” She stepped closer. ”I want her to fall in love with Ravyn instead.” Her expression twisted with ugly jealousy. ”I want her to become his obedient little puppet.”

Then she whispered the wish she wanted most of all. ”And I want Voren to see me the way he sees Sera.”

The sorceress quietly studied the young girl. A deep frown settled across her face. ”You’re asking for far too much.” She slowly shook her head. ”Especially for someone your age.” Her eyes narrowed. ”What you’re asking requires powerful magic. And powerful magic always demands an equal sacrifice.”

Daisy’s jaw tightened. ”I don’t care.” Her answer came immediately. ”I’ll do anything.” She looked over her shoulder, making sure no one had followed her into the woods. ”As long as Voren looks at me the way he looks at Seraphine, I’ll pay whatever price you ask.”

The sorceress remained silent for several moments. Finally, she spoke. ”If I grant your wish...” Her voice carried an unsettling calmness. ”You’ll be cursed.”

Daisy frowned.

”You’ll carry overwhelming desire inside your soul, the spirit of whoredom.” The woman looked directly into her eyes. ”You won’t find satisfaction with only Voren.” She continued before Daisy could interrupt.

”Right now, the blood of a kind-hearted she-wolf still flows through your veins. It keeps your innocence intact. But once this curse takes hold, it won’t stop what follows.”

Daisy was still far too young to fully understand the true meaning behind those words. To her, the warning meant nothing. She lifted her chin confidently. ”I’ll do anything.”

The sorceress slowly pressed her lips together. Without another word, she closed her eyes and began chanting ancient incantations. The wind stirred through the trees.

The strange symbols carved around the clearing glowed faintly before fading away again.

Moments later, the woman finally opened her eyes. ”The memory spell is complete.”

Daisy smiled, but the sorceress wasn’t finished. ”As for the love spell...” She sighed softly. ”It cannot force love into the heart of someone whose heart already belongs to another.”

Disappointment flickered across Daisy’s face.

”There is only one possibility.” The sorceress raised a single finger. ”When you see Voren again, you must confess your feelings before anything else happens.” Her gaze became deadly serious. ”Even then, the love he already feels for another is incredibly strong.” She slowly shook her head. ”The spell may still fail.”

Daisy refused to back down. ”I’ll take that chance.” She believed pure determination alone could overcome anything.

The spell erased Seraphine’s memories exactly as promised. She forgot what had happened that day. She even forgot the feelings she once held for Voren. But one thing no spell could ever erase was the deep imprint Voren already carried inside his heart.

The next time Daisy tried approaching him, she couldn’t even confess. He walked away before she had the chance. Without the confession, the spell never fully took hold.

End of the Flashback.

Over the years, Daisy watched with deep satisfaction as Seraphine devoted herself completely to Ravyn. The spell had twisted her emotions enough to keep her chasing after someone who never truly valued her.

Again and again, Seraphine sacrificed her own happiness for him. Again and again, Daisy enjoyed watching her suffer.

She believed everything was unfolding exactly as planned.

Then Seraphine did something Daisy never expected. She finally walked away from Ravyn, the only obstacle between her and Voren.

Even though the spell had weakened, Daisy wasn’t overly worried. Seraphine still couldn’t remember the truth. As long as those memories remained buried, Daisy believed her secrets were safe.

But the moment Seraphine casually mentioned the goldfish, a cold chill raced through Daisy’s entire body. For the first time in years, she felt genuinely, deeply afraid.
