Alpha's Regret: The Seventh Time was Forever

Chapter 422: Chapter 422 – The mystery of the gifted white and Black wolf

The small shaman’s hut fell into a deep, almost sacred silence. Every single person sitting there was completely lost in their own racing thoughts, turning her words over and over in their minds, trying to absorb the massive weight of what she was revealing.

If the Moon Goddess had truly opened up the future to this ancient shaman, then there had to be some way they could prepare for it. There had to be real hope buried somewhere in all of this.

The shaman slowly turned her cloudy gaze toward Alpha Humphrey and Luna Kylie, her voice remaining steady and calm even as every sentence carried an enormous, almost crushing weight.

”Your son, Ravyn, must one day marry the she-wolf who carries the gifted white wolf. Ravyn’s wolf will already possess extraordinary strength but can never reach its full potential on its own. His full power will only awaken and reach its highest potential when he finally joins together with the incredible power of the gifted white wolf.”

Her cloudy eyes seemed to stare far beyond the simple walls of the hut, as if she could already see the distant future unfolding right in front of her. ”When that day finally comes, the Centenary Pack will rise higher than it has ever risen before in all its history. It will transform into a true kingdom built not just on raw power, but on deep wisdom and strength that will last for generations.”

Humphrey and Kylie exchanged deeply worried glances, their hearts pounding harder as the full scale of this prophecy sank in. This was so much bigger and more serious than anything they had ever imagined possible.

Right beside them, Chuck and Noelle stayed perfectly still, barely breathing. Neither of them spoke a single word, but in their hearts, both of them already understood exactly what their next great responsibility would have to be.

As Beta and wife, searching for and protecting this gifted she-wolf would become one of the most important missions of their entire lives. If they somehow failed, the future of the entire Centenary Pack could change forever in ways none of them wanted to think about.

Kylie finally gathered every ounce of courage she had to speak up. ”Shaman...” Her voice carried a powerful mix of burning curiosity and real concern. ”Where is this gifted she-wolf right now?”

She glanced briefly at Humphrey, drawing a little strength from him, before turning back to the elderly woman. ”Ravyn is only five years old. Marriage and all of that is still so far away in the future.”

A small, bittersweet smile crossed her lips for just a moment before her expression turned deadly serious again. ”If this is truly a prophecy meant for many years from now, then you have to tell us exactly how we’re supposed to recognize her when the time comes.”

The shaman nodded slowly, as if she had been expecting that very question all along. She rested both of her weathered hands firmly on her carved wooden staff. ”The gifted white wolf will carry the Mark of the crescent moon. The mark will appear clearly on her lower stomach.”

A heavy silence settled over the hut once again as the words hung in the air.

”But...” The old woman’s expression darkened with warning. ”You must guard this information with your lives. No one outside this room should ever learn the complete truth about any of this.”

Everyone immediately became alert, tension crackling through the small space.

”There is another gifted wolf,” she continued, her voice dropping even quieter. ”A black gifted werewolf.”

The entire room instantly grew heavier, the atmosphere thick with unease. The shaman slowly shook her head, her face full of sorrow. ”I am strictly forbidden from telling you exactly who he is. And I cannot reveal the name of the pack where he will be born. That knowledge simply does not belong to me to share.”

Her eyes filled with deep, ancient sorrow. Humphrey frowned deeply, his mind racing. ”A black gifted wolf?”

The old woman nodded once more. ”Unlike the gifted white wolf, the black gifted wolf will possess a very different and intense nature. He will be fearless, fiercely territorial, and powerful beyond anything anyone could imagine.

He can operate autonomously and will claim things that don’t even belong to him simply because he desires them in his heart. He will carry the kind of overwhelming strength that once belonged only to the ancient undefeated Alphas of old legends.”

Even Chuck felt his heart start beating faster at the description.

The shaman kept going without pause. ”He will also carry a rare and special gift. He will see true greatness in people even when they cannot see it within themselves at all.”

Every single word felt vitally important, like it could change the course of their entire world.

The old woman slowly let out a long breath. ”If you fail in your task, that is if the gifted white she-wolf ends up marrying the black gifted werewolf instead...” She lowered her gaze, her voice growing softer. ”Their combined power will become completely unmatched in this world. No Alpha, no kingdom, and no alliance will be able to stand against them once their gifts fully awaken and come together.”

Everyone inside the hut grew visibly tense, the weight of her warning pressing down on them like a physical force.

”The pack they belong to will rise up to become the strongest among all werewolf communities. They will dominate every territory they set their sights on.” She slowly lifted her head again.

”If they choose the path of justice, the world will finally know a kind of peace unlike anything it has ever experienced before. But if darkness ever consumes them instead...” Her words sent icy chills racing through the room. ”The suffering will spread like wildfire to every single pack. No one will have the strength left to stop them.”

She looked directly into Humphrey’s eyes with fierce intensity. ”That is exactly why the black and white gifted wolves must never become one. Power must never gather all in one place like that. It must always remain carefully balanced.”

Everyone exchanged uneasy, worried glances with each other. For the first time, they found themselves desperately wondering who this mysterious black gifted werewolf could possibly be.

Every Alpha out there craved more power and influence. Every leader secretly dreamed of expanding their territory and growing stronger. Could one of them eventually turn out to be that gifted wolf? Or had he not even been born into the world yet?

Humphrey slowly rubbed his chin, deep in thought. One burning question had been bothering him from the very start of all this. ”What if...” He looked straight at the shaman, his voice steady but full of concern. ”What if Ravyn is actually the black gifted werewolf?”

It wasn’t impossible at all. After all, Ravyn was only five years old right now. He hadn’t received or awakened his wolf yet. Most werewolves didn’t awaken their wolves until around thirteen years old, and some didn’t shift until they were even older, even as late as sixteen.

At this young age, there was simply no way for anyone to know for sure what kind of powerful wolf might be sleeping inside him.

The old shaman smiled kindly, her expression gentle and understanding. ”If Ravyn truly carries the black gifted wolf within him, then he cannot marry the gifted white she-wolf.” Her answer came without even a second of hesitation.

She turned her gaze toward the burning fire, watching the flames dance for a moment before speaking again. ”But according to the Moon Goddess herself, that is not his destiny at all.”

She smiled warmly, her face lighting up with quiet confidence. ”Ravyn will possess an incredibly powerful wolf of his own. His strength will earn him the deep respect of so many around him.”

Her eyes reflected complete faith in what she was saying. ”But the full extent of his power, the true greatness the Moon Goddess has prepared especially for him, will only become fully evident and shine when he finally marries, and commits to the woman who is truly destined to stand right beside him as his equal.”
