I Can See Through All Things Information

Chapter 122 – 105: Desperate Pursuit, A Terrifying Arrow

Watching Young Master Wei swallow the rabbit meat, Ma Gu slightly nodded his head.

He likewise picked up a piece of rabbit meat and started eating.

Perhaps because he was truly famished, after swallowing a piece of rabbit meat, Young Master Wei found that besides psychological discomfort, it wasn’t as difficult to get down as he had imagined.

Therefore, he became less repulsed and silently continued eating.

The two of them silently finished eating the entire rabbit raw.

After eating, Ma Gu tidied up the items and then at the entrance of the cave, he leaned against the cave wall with a knife in his arms and rested with his eyes closed.

Young Master Wei went to check on his mother and found that her condition still had not improved, which worried him.

...
He wanted to discuss with Ma Gu, but remembering the scene where Ma Gu had grabbed his neck, he felt afraid and could only sit there silently.

At this time, it had become completely dark, but as a martial artist of the Muscle Bone Realm, Ma Gu still had keen senses.

In the darkness, he noticed Young Master Wei’s actions and spoke indifferently, “Go to sleep. Early tomorrow morning, I will go find medicine for Mrs. Wei. Worrying now is futile. You had better rest well to keep your strength up; that’s more practical.”

There was silence from Young Master Wei for a while.

Then he finally said, “Ma Gu, tell me the truth, can my mother recover?”

Ma Gu did not immediately reply.

After a moment, he said, “I don’t know. Like I said, I am not a physician, and my understanding of medical principles is very superficial. The lady’s injuries are not light. I can only try to find some recognizable medicinal herbs to administer to her, to see if they have any effect. As for whether she can pull through, that’s up to fate.”

Having said this, Ma Gu paused and then continued, “It’s a pity that we can’t get out right now. Otherwise, if we could reach Old Doctor Chen, your mother’s life would certainly be worry-free.”

Hearing this, Young Master Wei’s eyes suddenly brightened.

“Yes, we could take my mother to Old Doctor Chen!”

He remembered how, the last time he had been seriously injured, he had been saved by the elder doctor.

If they could get his mother to him, her injuries would surely be cured as well!

Ma Gu shook his head, “It’s not that I don’t want to take the lady there, but you know the situation outside. People are searching for us everywhere. We simply can’t get out.”

Young Master Wei then realized the reality, and his gaze dimmed.

Yes, if they could get out, they wouldn’t need to be trapped in this cave.

“Alright, go to sleep, and we’ll see how things are tomorrow.”

Seeing that he had fallen silent, Ma Gu said one more thing and continued to rest with his eyes closed.

That night, Young Master Wei could not sleep well.

He would wake up from time to time, then go to check on Mrs. Wei, occasionally giving her some water to drink. He had almost no rest as he dozed and woke intermittently.

Ma Gu saw all this but did not speak.

The next morning, Ma Gu told Young Master Wei before preparing to go out and look for herbs.

He checked, and perhaps because the effect of the antiseptic medicine was still active, Mrs. Wei’s condition, although it had not continued to worsen through the night, was still comatose.

But this was not a good sign—the conditions in the mountains were too harsh.

If she continued to remain unconscious, she might truly never wake up.

Carrying his weapon, Ma Gu cautiously moved through the mountain, searching for familiar medicinal herbs.

Finally, by a mountain stream, he found a medicinal herb that could be used, and he was delighted. Just as he went forward to pluck it,

Suddenly, a premonition of danger surged within him, and he swiftly dodged to the side.

In the next instant, an arrow that had grazed his body stuck in the ground; more than half of the arrow buried itself in the soil, leaving only the feathered tail trembling slightly above ground.

Ma Gu’s heart chilled.

Had he not dodged just then, the arrow would have likely pierced through his entire body.

He turned around sharply, only to see a figure who had, at some unknown time, positioned himself not far behind Ma Gu on the branch of a large tree.

It was a robust youth in leather armor, with an arrow quiver on his back, holding a large bow, and a short sword at his waist.

Clearly, the arrow that had just been fired was shot by him.

“Eh, got some skills, to have dodged my arrow?”

The leather armor youth seemed surprised that his arrow had not hit.

“Who are you, and why did you suddenly attack me?”

Pulling out his knife, Ma Gu asked in a grave voice while his gaze shifted around to assess the situation.

“Why pretend to be ignorant? Two days ago, it was you who took the Wei Family’s lady and young master. Speak, where did you hide them? If you tell me, maybe I can spare your life,” said the leather armor youth.

“I do not know what you are talking about; I am just a hunter who came into the mountains to hunt. I know nothing of any Madam Wei or young master,” Ma Gu denied vehemently.

“A hunter of the Muscle and Bone Realm level, do you really think I am a fool?” The leather armor youth shook his head, “It seems I have to capture you first before you’ll tell the truth.”

Before his words had faded, he already took three arrows from the arrow quiver behind him and placed them on his bow.

In the next instant, without any interval, three arrows shot off the string and flew towards Ma Gu.

“Three-star Consecutive?”

The three sharp arrows, in a brand shape and slightly staggered, nearly sealed off all of Ma Gu’s surrounding space, leaving him with hardly any room to dodge.

Ma Gu was shocked and instantly recognized the arrow technique used by the leather armor youth.

This was a famous method of using arrows, indicating that an archer had truly mastered the art.

Flee!
