Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes

Chapter 434: Chapter 307: Promotion to Royal Court (Part 2)

”Ding! Based on your Physique and the strength of your Divine Techniques, your current level is 420!”

”Ding! Territory ascension in progress. Your Royal Court territory has been designated as an irregular Starry Continent. Replicating data and preparing for transition! The former site of your territory in the Typhon World will become an ocean!”

”Ding! Creating a World Line for your territory! This World Line blocks all non-residents. The World Line has been Enhanced, and its Durability has increased to one billion!”

”Ding! Please note: The World Line cannot be repaired. Once its Durability reaches zero, it will be permanently destroyed!”

”Ding! Territory ascension in progress. Estimated time to completion: 30 minutes...”

Wang Yi listened to the system notifications as a luminous mist churned before his eyes.

His territory was already in the process of ascending. Soon, it would likely enter the so-called Fourth Dimension—the Starry Sky.

’I’m the second Chaos Lord to ascend in this epoch? Did another Player already complete their territory’s ascension before me? Something like that should be reported in the Mysterious Newspaper, right?’

Recalling the recent system notification, Wang Yi’s curiosity was piqued by the Chaos Lord who had completed their territory’s ascension before him. He used his Space Divine Techniques to take out the Mysterious Newspaper and have a look.

Wang Yi had missed the last few issues of the Mysterious Newspaper. As he flipped through them now, he found information about a territory ascension in one of the issues.

According to the information in the Mysterious Newspaper, that Chaos Lord’s name was Luo Baoyue. She was a female Player from the Double Dragon World who had completed her territory’s ascension three days ago, establishing the Baoyue Royal Court!

’Baoyue Royal Court? Luo Baoyue must have received aid from an ancient Player! Or... is she just exceptionally talented?’

Wang Yi pondered silently.

At this very moment, many of the residents in Wang Yi’s territory were still unaware of what was happening; they couldn’t perceive the territory’s ascension.

But in the Typhon World, the territory’s ascension was clearly visible to the naked eye.

Lifted by a brilliant radiance, Wang Yi’s territory was slowly rising into the sky. The sight was like a mirage, clearly visible even from hundreds of miles away.

Meanwhile, beneath the rising territory, a body of water had appeared on the land, completely submerging the area where Wang Yi’s territory once stood.

In the Southern Domain of the Goldfinch Royal Court, at the Southern King’s Prince Mansion, which also served as the Jian Nan Celestial Alliance Headquarters. Atop a tall tower in the backyard, the Southern King, Tong Yuanhai, was gazing at the mirage-like spectacle of the territory ascending in mid-air.

Dozens of other Players were beside him. They had been gathered there to discuss their next development plans, but the meeting had clearly been interrupted by the strange phenomenon of the ascending territory in the sky.

Among the crowd, Shen Badada placed a hand over his brow, staring at the sky and asking in confusion, ”What is that? A mirage?”

Tong Yuanhai said, ”If I’m not mistaken, that’s a territory ascension!”

”A territory ascension? From that direction... could it be Huaguo Mountain ascending?!”

”Huaguo Mountain is pretty far from here. Even if it were ascending, we shouldn’t be able to see it from this distance!”

”The distant scene has obviously been technologically enhanced. It’s like it’s being deliberately displayed for us!”

”Is it really Huaguo Mountain ascending?”

”It’s great that it’s ascending! If Huaguo Mountain didn’t ascend, when would we ever get our chance to shine!”

”Who’s the Lord of Huaguo Mountain anyway? Sun Wukong or Yang Jian?”

”Boss, tell us, what happens when a territory ascends?”

The crowd quickly broke into a discussion, but Tong Yuanhai sighed and said, ”Huaguo Mountain is far too far ahead of us. They’ve left the Newbie Village now, and we still don’t know how long we’ll be stuck in this Newbie Village!”

Xu Bingce said, ”Boss, if Huaguo Mountain ascends, the Typhon World’s World Line will probably no longer be protected. What do we do if the Starry Sky invades?”

Tong Yuanhai said, ”That’s exactly what I’m worried about. Veteran players invading a Newbie Village to bully rookies... I’m afraid that sort of thing will be happening to us very soon!”

Shen Badada said, ”If that’s the case, then this won’t be fun anymore...”

Meanwhile, in the ruins of Celestial Essence City, the capital of the Celestial Net Country, Bai Xianyi and Wei Shenming were traveling via Sword Control.

The two of them also saw the mirage of the ascending territory in the sky, so close it seemed they could reach out and touch it.

Bai Xianyi said, ”Is that Huaguo Mountain? Is it ascending?”

Wei Shenming said, ”What? Is Sun Wukong leaving the Typhon World?”

”He’s just leaving the Newbie Village. We need to hurry up and enter the Starry Sky as soon as possible!”

”But the Starry Sky isn’t very safe. I’d rather keep lying low and developing here...”

Bai Xianyi and Wei Shenming conversed quietly, flying farther and farther away on their Flying Swords.

Within a relatively empty region of the vast Starry Sky, on a certain Starry Continent, a female Player sat in a private booth on the second floor of a tavern.

She wore a white dress and had a beautiful face, with snake-shaped pendants hanging from her ears. She was unhurriedly brewing tea.

This female Player’s name was Luo Baoyue, and she was none other than the Lord of the Baoyue Royal Court.

”My Lord! This is the information we’ve gathered on the Waga Royal Court.”

A middle-aged scholar in a blue-green robe walked to Luo Baoyue’s side, bowed, and presented a book.

The man who looked like a ”middle-aged scholar” was actually a Player named Mo Dayou. Despite his ordinary clothes and harmless appearance, he was, in fact, the top expert of the Baoyue Royal Court, having already reached level 192.

This level was not low at all. Many Starry Sky God Players, who had lived through an entire epoch, still hadn’t reached level 192. And Luo Baoyue? She was only level 16!

Luo Baoyue took the book and glanced through it casually. ”This is all just superficial information. How boring!” she said. ”Sigh... this vast Starry Sky is so lonely. I wonder how long it will be before another territory ascends here.”

Waving her hand, Luo Baoyue dismissed Mo Dayou. She took a sip of her tea, then pulled up her territory management panel and began to examine it silently.

After the territory’s ascension, the territory management panel had also changed; a territory leaderboard page had been added.

This territory leaderboard could also be called a Royal Court leaderboard. The system generated it by calculating a score based on the comprehensive strength of each Player’s Royal Court, and it updated in real-time.

However, it only displayed the top three thousand!

If a Royal Court’s rank was not within the top three thousand, it wouldn’t appear on the leaderboard.

This leaderboard didn’t differentiate between new and old Players; only those with sufficient strength could make the list.

Currently, ranked first on the leaderboard was the Demon Realm Royal Court, with a territory score of 32,560!

Ranked second was the Purple Bamboo Royal Court, with a score of 31,880!

Ranked third was the West Sea Royal Court, with a score of 31,585!

The Demon Realm, Purple Bamboo, and West Sea Royal Courts were in a league of their own on the rankings. The fourth-ranked territory only had a score of 12,500, a massive gap from the top three.

The one-hundredth-ranked territory was the Xiaoyue Royal Court, with a score of exactly 10,000!

Then, by the 191st rank, the score dropped below eight thousand.

’Looking at this leaderboard, the top one hundred must have extremely powerful territories, and the top three are in a completely different class. The Waga Royal Court is ranked 88th, with a score of 10,345! My Baoyue Royal Court, despite having just ascended, managed to squeeze onto the leaderboard. It’s currently ranked 2,923rd with a score of only 3,600! Still, that’s quite an achievement. Ordinary new Players wouldn’t even qualify to be listed on the leaderboard at all!’

Luo Baoyue felt a hint of pride. Her territory had been able to ascend so quickly because it had received assistance from the Waga Royal Court.

Of course, this was really just the Waga Royal Court’s way of expanding its influence by choosing to support the Baoyue Royal Court.

The Waga Royal Court was extremely famous in the Fourth Dimension. Luo Baoyue didn’t want to be permanently controlled by it, so she had taken a great interest and was continuously gathering information about it.

Suddenly, the territory leaderboard changed. Luo Baoyue received a system notification that her Baoyue Royal Court’s rank had dropped by one!

’Hmm? Which Royal Court just developed enough to move up!’

Luo Baoyue quickly looked at the territory leaderboard again. After some effort, she finally found the territory that had pushed hers down a spot. Its name was [Strongest Royal Court], with a territory score of 6,666, ranked 323rd!
