Mystic Eyes: My Eyes Steal the Laws of Cultivation

Chapter 524: The Second Phase of The Alchemy Competition (3)

Kyrian remained completely motionless before the furnace for several moments, while his consciousness continued analyzing every single herb stored inside the spatial ring.

The silence around him was merely an illusion. The arena was bustling with the sounds of hundreds of alchemists at work, the crackling of flames, and the murmurs of the spectators. But he had created a bubble of concentration around himself, a space where only he and the ingredients existed.

Hundreds of possibilities crossed his mind like shooting stars, each one shining for an instant before giving way to the next.

Lotions to accelerate the recovery of injuries, ideal for cultivators who frequently fought in battle.

Lotions to strengthen muscles, useful for those who relied on raw physical strength.

Lotions to stabilize meridians, essential for cultivators who constantly pushed their limits.

Lotions designed for the cultivation of fire, water, or wind. Every element required a different approach, a unique combination of ingredients.

Then, an idea naturally emerged in his mind, as though it had always been there, waiting for the right moment to reveal itself.

His violet eyes gleamed faintly.

Lightning.

Ever since awakening the Eyes of Lightning, his understanding of that energy had continuously deepened. The flow of electricity through his meridians, the sensation of Lightning Qi coursing through his body, and the intimate connection with that primal force, all of it had become a fundamental part of his existence.

Manipulating herbs that contained lightning essence would be far easier for him than for an ordinary alchemist. His affinity with lightning was not merely theoretical; it was practical, a natural extension of his very being.

Moreover… a medicinal lotion specifically designed for cultivators who used Lightning Qi would certainly be both useful and unprecedented.

The destructive power of that element was immense, capable of devastating battlefields and annihilating enemies with ease.

Yet cultivating it also demanded an extraordinarily resilient body capable of enduring the violence of that energy. Every breakthrough was an ordeal, every technique a risk, and every moment of training a battle against the element’s own destructive nature.

If he could develop a lotion capable of strengthening the body by utilizing the very essence of lightning… it would be a truly remarkable formula.

Not only useful, but innovative, something very few alchemists had ever attempted and that no one had fully mastered.

“Then this will be it…”

Kyrian made his decision with the certainty of someone who had finally found the right path.

Without wasting another second, he slowly extended his hand over the furnace.

Crack!’

‘A small arc of electricity ran across his fingers, a spark of violet energy dancing between his fingertips like a miniature bolt of lightning.

The next instant, a more powerful violet lightning bolt descended directly into the furnace.

‘Boom!’

The spiritual flames ignited instantly, responding to the call of the electrical energy with controlled fury.

Unlike the ordinary flames used by most of the alchemists present, these flames carried tiny violet lightning bolts that continuously slithered through them, producing soft crackling sounds reminiscent of distant thunder.

Heat rapidly spread, enveloping the furnace in an embrace of pure energy. Kyrian felt the warmth against his face, but he did not step back. The temperature was familiar, comforting, like that of an old friend.

Kyrian took a deep breath before beginning, his lungs filling with the hot air rising from the furnace.

His consciousness once again immersed itself within the spatial ring, examining every ingredient with meticulous precision.

One by one, the ingredients were carefully arranged upon the table, each placed in a specific position that reflected its role in the formula.

First… three herbs containing lightning essence.

A bluish spiritual root covered in tiny electric filaments that pulsed with a light of their own. The root was twisted and irregular, yet it radiated a pure energy that Kyrian could feel without even touching it.

A flower with violet petals that released tiny crackling sounds whenever it touched another surface, as though it were constantly charged with static electricity. The petals were thin, nearly translucent, and glowed with an inner radiance.

And a small silver fruit whose peel was crossed by luminous streaks resembling lightning, natural patterns that seemed to have been drawn by a divine hand.

Next… three healing herbs.

Thick Green Jade Leaves, each with a soft, velvety texture. Known for their ability to accelerate tissue regeneration, the leaves were a fundamental ingredient in countless medicinal formulas.

A pure white flower whose petals seemed to be made of snow, famous for its calming effect on damaged meridians.

And a small medicinal root, dark brown and fibrous, used for generations to stabilize the flow of Qi through the body’s energy channels.

Finally… three ingredients specialized in strengthening the physical body.

An exceptionally durable spiritual bark, as hard as stone, which Kyrian knew would have to be ground into powder before it could be used.

A small golden resin, sticky to the touch, capable of strengthening muscles and increasing bone density.

And a dark herb, nearly black, renowned for naturally stimulating the growth of physical endurance, making the body more capable of withstanding damage and stress.

Nine ingredients. Three groups. Lightning, recovery, and strengthening. A simple structure, yet one with immense potential.

Kyrian carefully observed all of them for several seconds, his eyes examining every detail, every texture, every shade. In his mind, the formula was beginning to take shape, each ingredient finding its place within the process.

His mind once again began simulating different combinations. Which ingredient should enter first, the lightning root to establish the foundation, or perhaps the healing herbs to create a stable environment?

What temperature should be used, and how should it vary throughout the process? How long should each essence remain inside the furnace before receiving the next ingredient? When would be the ideal moment to combine them all, when every essence had reached its perfect state?

After several minutes of meticulous planning, Kyrian finally began.

The lightning root was tossed into the furnace, its bluish filaments shining briefly before being engulfed by the flames.

The violet flames immediately wrapped around the ingredient, licking its surface with controlled hunger.

1Hiss…1

A soft sound of evaporation filled the air. Tiny threads of electricity continuously escaped from the root as its medicinal essence slowly began to be extracted, the heat transforming its solid structure into a liquid form of energy.

Kyrian gently moved his fingers above the furnace, his gestures precise and controlled. The lightning inside the furnace perfectly obeyed his commands, heating every part of the root evenly, leaving neither overheated spots nor underprocessed areas.

Shortly afterward, the violet flower entered the furnace. Its translucent petals merged with the root’s essence, creating a mixture that glowed with an intense violet light.

Then… the small silver fruit was added, its peel bursting under the heat and releasing a silver liquid that blended with the other ingredients.

The three lightning ingredients slowly began to merge, their essences intertwining in a dance of light and energy. Tiny crackling sounds continuously echoed from within the furnace.

‘Crack… Crack… Crack…’

Inside the furnace, tiny violet sparks danced among the medicinal essences, as though celebrating their union. The electrical energy was alive, pulsating, responding to Kyrian’s touch like a domesticated beast.

Only when the fusion reached the desired point, becoming a uniform and radiant mixture, did Kyrian slowly add the healing herbs.

White smoke immediately rose from the furnace in fragrant spirals. The medicinal aroma spread around the platform, a pure and comforting fragrance that contrasted with the crackling of the lightning.
