Mystic Eyes: My Eyes Steal the Laws of Cultivation

Chapter 309: Silent King (5)

Long Xue did not know exactly how Kyrian had helped, but she knew it had been him.

She was still breathing heavily, her chest rising and falling as she looked at the place where the two attackers had fallen. The clean cut on their chests, the way their leaves had been split in half, and their bodies disappeared in flashes of green light... everything happened too fast. She did not see the strike. She did not feel the Qi approaching. It was as if the air itself had cut them apart.

But she knew that kind of cut. Pure sword intent, sharp like nothing she had ever felt before. It could only be Kyrian.

Outside, on the Central Plateau, the crowd watching the battles of the members of the Verdant Sword Sect erupted in confusion.

Many had shifted their focus to Kyrian’s group precisely because he had descended to meet them. With the fame Kyrian had gained in the past weeks, the mysterious young man who dominated the ranking effortlessly, everyone wanted to see how his sect companions fought. The holographic screens alternated between the battles of Mo Tianhai, Mo Xia, and especially Long Xue.

”She’s going to lose!” someone shouted when they saw Long Xue surrounded.

”Three against one! And her opponent is strong!”

But then, suddenly, the two who attacked her from behind were eliminated. Their bodies appeared in the central arena of the Plateau, coughing blood, leaves destroyed, expressions of shock and terror frozen on their faces.

The audience fell silent for a second... then exploded.

”What the hell was that?!”

”They were attacking the girl, and, the next second, they were eliminated just like that!”

”I didn’t see the attack! Where did it come from?!”

”It was Kyrian! It has to have been him!”

These strange things continued happening with the members of the Verdant Sword Sect.

Mo Xia, who was facing two people at the same time, was about to be eliminated. Her agility was impressive, but her opponents were experienced and pressured her mercilessly. When one of them prepared the final blow, something strange happened again, one of her opponents was cut in the chest invisibly. His leaf split in half, and he disappeared in green light.

Again, the audience questioned what was happening.

”Another one! It happened again!”

”Kyrian is helping them! But how? He didn’t even move!”

”His points are increasing, even though he looks completely still at the top of the tree!”

A murmur flooded the stands. Thousands of voices spoke at the same time, confused, impressed, and increasingly fascinated.

”How the hell is he eliminating others and helping those from his sect?”

”Yes, I didn’t see him move at all! How is this happening?”

In the VIP section, the leaders of the other sects also questioned aloud.

The Leader of the Ancient Forest Sect narrowed his eyes as he thought, his gaze fixed on Kyrian through the screens.

”Most likely... it’s his eyes.” He said slowly.

”I was uncertain before, but I believe it is a special physique.”

The Leader of the Flaming Sword Sect also commented, crossing his arms.

”Yes. It is definitely a special physique with an ocular power. And a powerful one.”

They then turned to Feng Yuan, who remained seated calmly beside Mei Ran.

”Leader Feng Yuan, are we right?” asked the Leader of the Ancient Forest Sect directly.

Feng Yuan smiled faintly, a light and enigmatic smile. He knew he would not be able to hide it forever. Once Kyrian returned to the central arena after the first phase ended, everyone above the Spiritual Awakening Realm would be able to sense that he was a mortal with an innate talent.

So, he did not deny it.

”It is something more special than that.” Feng Yuan replied, his voice calm and confident.

”You will see soon.”

The momentary silence that followed was filled with anticipation. The leaders exchanged glances, some with a gleam of expectation in their eyes. Such a powerful ocular talent was extremely rare even among special physiques. If Kyrian truly possessed a special ocular physique, his future was limitless.

Back in the Pocket Realm, the chaos below the central tree continued.

People were eliminated every second. Points rose and fell as leaves were destroyed. Disciples who arrived with few points became easy prey but also desperate hunters. Betrayals happened constantly. Someone who had just formed an alliance would turn their back the next moment to steal their partner’s points.

Kyrian remained quiet at the top, lightly swinging his legs. His sword-like eyes calculated at high speed all the movements of the enemies. The moment he saw that he needed to help, a slash of pure sword intent was released, invisible, silent, and lethal, to interrupt anyone who tried to eliminate Mo Tianhai and the others.

He had said he would protect them from being eliminated. So he would do it. Especially because he wanted it to benefit the Verdant Sword Sect as a whole. The more points his companions accumulated, the better the overall performance of the sect would be.

Long Xue, after eliminating her opponent, looked upward again. Her smile was grateful and determined. She knew Kyrian was there, watching over them. That certainty gave her the strength to continue fighting without fear.

Mo Tianhai, in the middle of a fierce battle, also felt the invisible help when an opponent who was pressuring him was suddenly cut in the chest. He laughed loudly, knowing exactly who had intervened.

”Kyrian... you’re spoiling us too much!” he shouted before finishing his opponent with a destructive strike.

The chaos continued. But now, with Kyrian’s invisible protection, the group of the Verdant Sword Sect became increasingly dangerous. They were not only surviving, they were hunting.

Meanwhile, in the stands, the audience began to understand the pattern.

”Kyrian is helping them! Look at his points going up, even while he’s standing still!”

”It’s like he’s cutting from afar... with his eyes?”

”What kind of absurd power is that?!”

The first phase of the Domain Gathering continued its bloody and unpredictable course. And Kyrian, at the top of the tree, remained the silent observer who controlled the rhythm of everything without needing to move a single hand.
