Path of Dragons - A LitRPG Apocalypse (BOOK TWO ON KINDLE SEPT. 2)

IT’S LAUNCH DAY!

For those who haven’t seen my author’s notes over the past few weeks, this post is to celebrate/let you all know about the launch of Protector of the Grove (Path of Dragons 1) on Kindle, Audible (narrated by the awesome Eric Jason Martin) , and Paperback. This has been a long time coming, and I have to admit that I’m incredibly relieved that it’s finally here. It’s been almost a year and a half since this story’s first chapter hit, and in that time, it’s gone from a mildly popular story (hitting number 2 or 3 on Rising Stars) to one that consistently topped the Popular this Week list for months at a time. Over 15 million views. Tens of thousands of followers. It was much bigger than I ever expected, and I can’t thank you all enough for continuing to read my work.

That said, now that the book is out on Kindle, Audible, and Paperback, we’re turning a new page. Hopefully, it’s successful enough to bring an influx of new readers. I definitely want this story to be successful enough to warrant the time investment it’ll require to reach my planned end. So, even if you’ve already read it, maybe it’s time to pick it up again and start a re-read with book one! Even if you don’t want to re-read it, consider dropping by the link in the pre-chapter author notes and giving it a rating/review on Amazon. That’ll help a ton.

Anyway, here’s the blurb (if you’ve forgotten what book one is about):

When Earth is transformed into a realm of myths and monsters, one man finds both purpose and power in the fight for survival, in this fantasy adventure.

Elijah Hart is dying. Wracked by cancer and weakened by chemotherapy, all he wants is to spend what little time he has left with his sister and her family in Washington. But fate has other plans. When the mysterious World Tree extends its branches to Earth, Elijah’s Seattle-bound flight crashes into the Pacific Ocean and a game-like system takes hold—reshaping humanity’s future as well as his own destiny.

Waking up on an island in the Pacific Northwest, Elijah finds himself suddenly gifted with magical powers and an innate connection to the natural world. As a Druid, he has the particular ability to wield Ethera, a mystical energy he hopes can cure his cancer . . . if he survives long enough to master it. It seems the influx of magic has rendered most technology useless, throwing humankind back into a preindustrial age. But the world hasn’t just changed; it has expanded, in both scope and danger.

Now Elijah must level up quickly. Because Earth is under siege: Reptilian Voxx emerge from dimensional rifts, wreaking chaos and destruction. Desperate humans battle for resources, seeking to harness Ethera for their own survival. Even worse, dragons and other ancient beings with the strength to destroy the planet on a whim are beginning to stir.

With each trial he faces, Elijah becomes healthier, stronger, and more powerful. But will it be enough to save himself—let alone the world?

Also, and this is probably something you all will want to know - if this launch hits my goals, I’ll be publishing extra chapters. The first one is to get into the top 500 on Amazon. If that happens, we’ll get 2 additional chapters. If we get into the top 100, then an extra two chapters will be published. If those numbers hold (meaning the top 500) after a week, I’ll add an additional 4 chapters (for a total of 8). So, if you have any notion of checking out the book, now’s a great time.

Thanks again for all your support, and I hope you’ll all give it a good read or a listen. In my entirely unbiased opinion, it’s pretty awesome.
