King of Hundred Victories Saber

Chapter 18: Chapter 16: Oneness of Man and Blade

Master Yuan Chi smiled, his eyes sparkling with a mischievous glint. He laughed heartily, his voice resonant and filled with confidence as he said, ”My faithful disciple, I have long foreseen that you would come to rescue your master. Your filial piety and courage bring me great comfort! However, you should not use this method to save me; you need to devise a clever strategy, not rely solely on martial force!”

His words were filled with care and expectation for Shi Feiyang, while also conveying a serious warning.

Upon hearing Master Yuan Chi’s words, Shi Feiyang felt a surge of guilt in his heart. He respectfully replied, ”Master, upon learning of your predicament, I was consumed by anxiety and did not think deeply! I was only focused on rescuing you as quickly as possible! Nevertheless, although I may have erred, I will spare no effort to rescue you, no matter the cost.” His words were filled with determination and resolve, assuring Master Yuan Chi that he would complete this mission, regardless of the price.

Shi Feiyang, although not yet fully aware of his martial arts level, firmly believed in the teachings of the ”Tao Te Ching”: ”He who overcomes others is powerful; he who overcomes himself is strong.” This saying was etched into the depths of his soul, guiding his actions and principles.

Whenever he thought of this saying, his face radiated with a resolute expression, his eyes shone with determination. He believed that true strength lies not only in defeating others but in overcoming oneself. Only with inner strength could one advance further in Martial Arts.

In the moment of exertion, Shi Feiyang’s entire skeleton emitted a creaking sound, and his body, propelled by an invisible force, emanated a formidable aura.

Master Yuan Chi clasped his hands together and devoutly chanted, ”Amitabha Buddha! Good! Good!”

His voice contained profound compassion and wisdom.

Then, he retreated behind Shi Feiyang, his gaze as sharp as a hawk, quickly discerning that the young hero before him had experienced extraordinary adventures, possessed profound inner power, and mastered an electrifying saber technique.

Hence, this handsome youth dared to brave hell to rescue him.

Master Yuan Chi’s eyes glistened with a light of relief.

Next, Master Yuan Chi would observe how this handsome young man utilized the advantages of this saber technique. As the situation had reached this point, there was no turning back, thus there was no need for further words to avoid disturbing the young hero’s display of martial skills.

Thus, Master Yuan Chi stood silently aside, like an immovable majestic mountain.

At this crucial moment, Shi Feiyang shouldered the burden of an aging Shaolin monk—Master Yuan Chi, as if bearing the weight of the entire Martial Arts world. His left hand securely supported Master Yuan Chi as he executed his swift, fierce, and formidable ”Hundred Victories Saber Technique.” A move ”Golden Dragon Coils Claw” was executed with ease, like a golden dragon spiraling in the air, tightly guarding Master Yuan Chi behind him, both offensive and defensive, leaving no opening.

The display of Shi Feiyang’s formidable power caused Snow Eagle Castle’s Fortress Master Wu Hong to feel an unprecedented threat.

Wu Hong led his nineteen hawks to launch a ferocious attack on Shi Feiyang and the burdened Master Yuan Chi.

Without hesitation, Shi Feiyang tightly grasped the extremely sharp Myanmar Saber, becoming one with the saber, reaching a state where man and blade were indistinguishable. Under the might of Shi Feiyang’s saber and palms, the hunting dogs of Snow Eagle Castle fell one after another. Shi Feiyang killed several Snow Eagle Castle masters and, in the fierce duel, beheaded Fortress Master Wu Hong, dispersing the evil gang of Snow Eagle Castle.

With the fall of Fortress Master Wu Hong, Snow Eagle Castle temporarily came under Shi Feiyang’s control. The event unfolded with breathtaking twists and turns, and Shi Feiyang single-handedly reversed the situation, successfully rescuing Master Yuan Chi. Shi Feiyang’s heroic act not only earned the admiration of people like Liu Dayou and Liu Guihua in the Martial Arts world but also brought temporary peace to Snow Eagle Castle.

...

Such was the course of events.

At this moment, Shi Feiyang had completed the apprenticeship ceremony.

Master Yuan Chi bent down, carefully lifting Shi Feiyang, preparing to say something.

However, Shi Feiyang gently pushed aside Master Yuan Chi’s hand, turned to face Liu Dayou, and said solemnly, ”Brother Liu, please lead everyone to escort Master Yuan Chi away from this dangerous place at once. The people of Snow Eagle Castle will not give up easily; they may attack again and even recruit stronger martial artists to retaliate against us. This place is not safe to stay for long. The losses Your Escort Agency suffered, I will compensate later. Currently, the most urgent thing is for you all to leave here as soon as possible and return to the Central Plains, waiting for me at the foot of Shaoshi Mountain. Please proceed immediately!” His tone became more urgent.

After listening to Shi Feiyang’s urgent words, Liu Dayou felt deeply in agreement but knew that decisions should not be made lightly, so he sought advice and suggestions from Master Yuan Chi.

Master Yuan Chi clasped his hands together, slowly saying, ”Amitabha Buddha! Good! Good! What Feiyang said is true. I shall return to Shaolin at once, awaiting Feiyang’s arrival.”

Liu Guihua was filled with deep concern for Shi Feiyang, her heart seemingly weighed down by heavy stones, unable to be at ease.

She anxiously turned around, her gaze intently fixed on Shi Feiyang, her voice carrying a slight tremor, and asked with concern, ”And what about you? What are your plans? Do you not intend to leave with us?”

Her voice revealed deep anxiety and unease, the tense emotions nearly overwhelmed her, and in her urgency, she reached out and tightly grasped Shi Feiyang’s arm.

In that moment, she completely forgot any shyness, focusing wholeheartedly on Shi Feiyang’s safety.

Shi Feiyang’s gaze was firm and profound. He stared into Liu Guihua’s anxious and tense face, softly but firmly reassuring her, ”I must stay behind to ensure your departure. Rest assured, I will be safe. Earlier, I found a suitable hiding place. You should withdraw immediately, and we will reunite later at the foot of Shaoshi Mountain.”

His tone conveyed firmness and confidence, indicating to everyone that he had the capability to handle the current predicament, ensuring no one would come to harm. He understood that without decisive action, they would not escape safely.

Thus, Master Yuan Chi resolutely instructed, ”Let us go, follow my disciple Feiyang’s strategy, and he will assuredly remain unharmed.”

With those words, he led the others away from Snow Eagle Castle, his figure appearing particularly steadfast in the night.

Despite the reluctance and helplessness in the hearts of Liu Dayou and his sister towards Shi Feiyang, they understood that hesitation was not an option at this moment.

Thus, they, along with the escort masters and sect leaders and their disciples, all cupped their fists to express their respect and gratitude to Shi Feiyang. Their eyes were filled with trust and gratitude towards him, and they spoke in unison, ”We believe in you, you will surely return safely.”

Subsequently, they followed Master Yuan Chi’s steps, quickly departing from Snow Eagle Castle, disappearing into the night.
