Supreme Sword God

Chapter 554: Chapter 553: Unreasonable and Forceful Seizure?

A moment later.

Ye Chen discovered a slight special fluctuation in the light barrier.

”It seems... it’s a trial...!”

Ye Chen muttered and then controlled his spiritual power, surging from his mind into the light barrier in front of him.

”Buzz!”

The light barrier immediately exploded with extremely blazing light.

”Qingqing, you try it!”

Ye Chen instantly withdrew his spiritual power, thinking that Mu Qingqing should also be able to pass this trial.

This might be a place left for legacy by a powerful practitioner of the Spirit Dao, and by meeting his spiritual power requirements, one could enter.

So, let Mu Qingqing go first!

After all, Mu Qingqing’s combat power is lacking; if he went in first and couldn’t get out, and Mu Qingqing stayed outside and couldn’t get in, that would be troublesome.

If Mu Qingqing could go in and he couldn’t, Ye Chen wouldn’t mind.

Anyway, the Celestial Extinction Ancient Tomb is so vast, he might as well find other opportunities; leaving Mu Qingqing here would be safer because this is just the outer tomb area of the Celestial Extinction Ancient Tomb, and everyone who enters would rush towards the inner tomb.

Mu Qingqing didn’t think much about it, stepped up, and burst her spiritual power, surging into the light barrier.

The light barrier again exploded with blazing light, and shortly after, Mu Qingqing said, ”Brother Chen, I think I can go in...”

”Wait.”

Ye Chen said, once again controlling his spiritual power and surged into the light barrier. If both could go in, that would be perfect.

As for Little Phoenix, no need to worry; if he got in, Little Phoenix could too!

But this time, the light barrier directly blocked Ye Chen’s spiritual power.

”It seems the light barrier has already recognized Qingqing; I can’t get in.” Ye Chen thought, then looked at Mu Qingqing, ”Use your imprinting feature to first imprint one of my Dragon Phoenix Sword Qi!”

Even though Master Legs said there’s little danger inside, and he judged it’s a place left by a powerful Spirit Master for legacy, it’s better to be precautious.

”Brother Chen, I already imprinted your Dragon Phoenix Sword Qi, haven’t used it yet.” Mu Qingqing blinked with a hint of pride.

Ye Chen smiled.

This little girl is actually very clever.

”Alright, you go in first, I’ll follow later,” Ye Chen said.

Mu Qingqing nodded, then stepped forward, her body gradually passing through the light barrier.

”You lied to her,” Little Phoenix said, staring at Ye Chen.

Ye Chen: ”...”

”I can actually go in,” Little Phoenix stated.

Ye Chen: ”Hmm?”

”I tried secretly a moment ago; see, one of my feathers is stuck in the corner.”

Ye Chen looked at the corner of the light barrier and sure enough, half of a feather belonging to Little Phoenix was stuck inside.

”Zizi, your feather...”

Little Phoenix said, ”I lost a feather battling those disgusting bugs, didn’t want to discard it, so I retrieved it. I didn’t even bother laughing at you and that silly girl Mu Qingqing entering with spiritual power!”

Ye Chen: ”Since you can go in, you should go too; the light barrier doesn’t resist your power, there might be something useful for you inside.”

Little Phoenix glanced at Ye Chen, ”What about you?”

Ye Chen claimed, ”I’ll find other opportunities; with both of you, I’m rather constrained.”

”So, ultimately, you disdain us,” Little Phoenix said, feeling hurt.

Ye Chen: ”...it’s not about disdaining you two; it’s too dangerous following me. Here is much safer, you and Qingqing can look out for each other, offering a degree of self-preservation.”

Little Phoenix huffed, ”Sister Qingyi was right; men are heartless, all big pigs’ feet!”

saying that, Little Phoenix flew to the corner of the light barrier, picked up its feather, and returned to Ye Chen’s side, ”They call me your little bird, so be it; this is my feather, thus your bird feather, keep it well. That way, it’ll be easier for Qingqing and me to find you later.”

Then.

With a ’whoosh’, Little Phoenix flew into the light barrier.

Ye Chen raised a hand, caught Little Phoenix’s feather, his expression somewhat odd, muttering, ”My bird feather?”

Inside the light barrier.

Mu Qingqing saw Little Phoenix enter, and excitedly shouted, ”Zizi, why isn’t Brother Chen coming in?”

Little Phoenix replied, ”He can’t get in, and wants you and me to stay here.”

Mu Qingqing suddenly panicked, wanting to go out, but couldn’t...

Little Phoenix said, ”Useless to try; I got in due to special reasons, but now, even I can’t go out. You and I better explore this place for what it has; when we’re stronger, we can surely go out and look for him!”

Despite Mu Qingqing being upset.

She soon transformed her sadness into motivation, joining Little Phoenix in searching for opportunities in the vast cave!

Outside.

Ye Chen tried for a while longer, confirmed he really couldn’t go in, and assumed others likely wouldn’t either, settling his mind, ensuring safety for Mu Qingqing and Little Phoenix.

He then prepared to leave.

At this moment.

Three figures charged in.

”Ye Chen, so it’s you!” Leading them, Young Master Su frowned.

Ye Chen glanced at the trio.

The two behind appeared somewhat haggard, covered in many Spirit-Eating Maggot fragments.

”Sorry, I don’t know you.”

One of the disheveled fellows quickly said, ”Ye Chen, this is Su Dongliu from East Desolate City, Young Master Su!”

Ye Chen: ”And who are you?”

Without waiting for their reply, Ye Chen added, ”Never mind, don’t bother telling me, I’m not interested.”

The two haggard fellows immediately fumed.

A man named Su Dongliu casually stated, ”Ye Chen, step aside.”

”Do as you please.”

After all, this Su Dongliu couldn’t get in either.

Leaving these words, Ye Chen walked away.

Su Dongliu quickly stepped over to the light barrier, a contemplative look appearing on his face.

Being a child of East Desolate City, his insight was extraordinary; soon, he discerned the light barrier’s purpose, but when he input his spiritual power, the barrier’s power directly blocked it!

Su Dongliu’s expression instantly changed.

”Young Master Su, what’s wrong?” asked one of those who followed him.

Su Dongliu said, ”Ye Chen dared to kill someone from the Silver Wing Race, even confront the Luo Zuo Luo You brothers; he departed so easily just now, meaning he got recognized by the light barrier and already collected the treasures inside!”

”Then we...”

Su Dongliu coldly snorted, ”Chase!”

Though this is an outer tomb area, attracting so many Spirit-Eating Maggots, and Su Dongliu sensed unusual aura from the barrier, he believed it was a significant tomb; the items inside held high value, unwilling to let it slip by.

With that, Su Dongliu rushed out through the corridor.

Shortly after Ye Chen left the corridor, he sensed Su Dongliu pursuing him.

”Ye Chen, stop!”

Su Dongliu shouted.

Ye Chen turned, looked at Su Dongliu, but said nothing.

”You were recognized by the light barrier and received treasures inside?!” Su Dongliu stopped not far from Ye Chen, interrogating.

Ye Chen nodded, ”Yes, what of it?”

Simply admitted, preventing Su Dongliu from gathering others to tamper with the light barrier; if they unexpectedly discover something, Mu Qingqing and Little Phoenix would be in danger.

”What now?” Su Dongliu sneered, ”Hand over your storage ring; I’ll inspect it. Any items with a special aura belonging to the Celestial Extinction Ancient Tomb, I’ll take them all!”

Ye Chen laughed, his smile exuding contempt and disdain.

This Su Dongliu planned to rob him?

If that’s the case... then perhaps he should try killing Su Dongliu and rob him instead!
