Chapter 2541: Chapter 2541: Suspect Them

”What?” The scarred man was shocked.

He looked at Yu Qi again and again. It was really the same face that hunted him yesterday. But how could that be? He really saw and talked to that ghost.

”So, he is the one being hired by Winter Lee to kill us?” Yu Qi asked.

”Yes. He confessed everything.” Captain Thomas nodded.

”Then, do you know why Winter Lee ended up killing herself?” Yu Qi asked.

”About that... We still have no idea. To be honest, the higher rank already forced me to close the case. The Lee Family did not want this case to be investigated further since the culprit had already lost her life.” Captain Thomas sighed.

”I see.” Yu Qi nodded. She then turned and faced the scarred man. ”You managed to convince Winter Lee that you have killed us. How did you do that?”

The scarred was still trembling, facing Yu Qi but he forced himself to answer the question. ”My subordinate showed me the video about the car accident.”

”Do you have that?” Yu Qi asked Captain Thomas.

”Yes. I have watched it.” Captain Thomas said.

”I want to watch it.” Long Hui stated.

”Let’s move to another room. Someone, take this man away.” Captain Thomas asked his subordinate to take the scarred man away.

Then, they moved to another room that had a screen. Captain Thomas asked his subordinate to play the video for them to watch.

”To be honest, the quality is not too good because it is recorded using a smartphone that does not have good quality. But we can tell that the people who had been recorded were similar to you two. It has already been checked with our tech person that this video was original and has no touch of editing. I thought that man hired two people who had faces similar to yours to be stand-ins for him to deceive Winter Lee. But when I asked him, he denied it.” Captain Thomas said.

”Captain Thomas, are you suspecting us? Thinking that we know that Winter Lee is targeting us and hired the stand-in for this matter?” Yu Qi’s voice turned sharp.

”That...” Captain Thomas hesitated to speak.

To be honest, he really thought that as well. But he had no evidence to back it up. And they did not have a reason to arrest these two people.

”Captain Thomas, I think we are done here.” Long Hui stated.

”We are going back tomorrow.” Yu Qi stated.

Long Hui and Yu Qi stood up and left the room. Captain Thomas just let them go.

They left the police station. They decided to have lunch at a restaurant when they encountered Angelica Lee. Angelica Lee was the one who approached them.

”You are really lucky.” Angelica Lee stated.

Yu Qi and Long Hui looked at her without responding.

”Well, whatever, because that woman had gone. I am really glad about that. So, thank you.” Angelica Lee said.

”Excuse me, Ms Lee, you don’t know that you have no shame coming to us after knowing what your biological aunt tried to do to us? You are even trying to imply that we are the ones who killed your aunt, despite the fact that we are the ones she wanted to kill. I heard she killed herself after thinking she managed to kill us.” Yu Qi stated.

She did not bother to lower her voice when she spoke. So, some onlookers heard the conversation and turned to look at them. Angelica Lee was shocked when Yu Qi mentioned the matter loudly. Then, she began to hear some people whisper as they looked and pointed their fingers at him.

”You! How dare you mention that matter loudly to the public?” Angelica Lee was hissing as she spoke to Yu Qi.

”Ms Lee, it is not us who do the bad thing. It is your Lee Family. Well, it must be in the family.” Yu Qi mocked.

”So, the news about that is really true.”

”The Lee Family have a lot of connections. They did not suffer from this.”

”Yes. That Winter Lee has already died.”

”Even though she still comes over and tries to provoke the people whom her aunt tried to kill.”

”What do you think the reason Winter Lee tried to kill the couple?”

”I heard from someone that Winter Lee’s daughter had taken a liking to a man, but he rejected her daughter. Her daughter was admitted to the hospital. She must be doing that for her daughter.”

”Killing people just because that person refused her daughter. That’s so extreme.”

”Well, they are proud people. They could not handle the rejection and turned to villain mode. Like if she could not have it, then others could not have it. That type.”

”Well, even so, it is down to the family’s lesson. If the family taught them how to live properly, they would not turn out like that.”

”Humph! The Lee Family is really no good. Do you remember about the case when they cooperated with the organization had done research on human being?”

”Yes... Yes... I remember that.”

”How could their family still safe?”

”The police stated there are no enough evidence.”

”Humph!!! The Lee Family is so great. They will not be convicted.”

Angelica Lee knew that she could not stay here anymore. She glared at Yu Qi and Long Hui before walking away. Yu Qi smiled and waved at her making her even angrier.
