Lust System: Conquering the World Beauties

The vampires were only inches away.

Then—

WHOOSH!!

Something blurred past him.

Before he could even understand what had happened—

BOOOOOOM!!

A deafening explosion swallowed the six vampires.

Flames erupted toward the sky as chunks of earth and shattered concrete blasted in every direction. The shockwave rolled across the battlefield, knocking nearby vampires off balance while soldiers instinctively ducked behind cover.

”...H-Huh?”

The young soldier slowly opened his eyes.

He blinked.

Once.

Twice.

His body was still standing.

His breathing was still racing.

Confused, he slowly looked around.

”...What?”

The explosion...

It was several meters away.

He turned behind himself.

”...I...”

His eyes widened.

”I should’ve...”

His hands instinctively touched his own chest.

His heartbeat thundered beneath his palm.

He checked his arms.

His legs.

His face.

Everything was still there.

The cuts.

The bruises.

The blood staining his uniform.

”I... I’m alive?”

His breathing became uneven.

”How?”

”I-I should’ve died...”

He looked back toward the burning crater where the explosion had happened.

”Am I...”

He swallowed hard.

”...dead?”

”Is this... my spirit?”

He slowly touched his own face again, almost afraid his fingers would pass straight through.

”No...”

His body was solid.

The pain in his shoulder still burned.

His knees still trembled.

Everything felt real.

Then...

Whoosh.

A ripple distorted the air in front of him.

His pupils shrank.

Someone appeared.

Not walking.

Not running.

Simply...

Appearing.

The battlefield itself seemed to pause around her.

She stood between him and the burning inferno, her back facing him, completely calm despite the bullets flying overhead.

Vanessa.

The young soldier’s mouth slowly fell open.

She was no longer wearing the standard combat uniform he remembered from months ago.

This armor was something entirely different.

A pair of sleek black armored boots reached all the way above her knees, every step illuminated by faint streams of blue energy flowing beneath the polished surface like living lightning. They hugged her long, toned legs before disappearing beneath a short tactical skirt designed for speed rather than ceremony. Layered beneath it was a fitted combat bodysuit reinforced with lightweight armor plates that wrapped naturally around her waist and torso without sacrificing movement.

Dark metallic pauldrons rested over her shoulders while glowing lines of energy traced elegant patterns across the armor, pulsing softly with every heartbeat. A fitted gauntlet covered each forearm, humming faintly as dimensional energy danced around her fingertips.

Her blonde hair, tied neatly into its familiar ponytail, swayed gently despite the chaos raging around them. Even with explosions lighting the battlefield every few seconds, her flawless features remained composed, carrying the same quiet authority that had inspired countless soldiers over the last three months.

She looked less like a human commander...

And more like hope itself walking onto the battlefield.

The young soldier simply stared.

His voice barely escaped.

”...Commander Vanessa...”

Of course he knew who she was.

Everyone did.

She had become one of humanity’s greatest defenders after the war began, appearing wherever the fighting became impossible and dragging entire squads back from certain death through sheer mastery of space manipulation.

If she had arrived...

Then—

His thoughts were interrupted by a thunderous howl that rolled across the battlefield.

Awoooooooooooooo!!

The howl echoed like a living earthquake.

Every vampire froze.

Every soldier instinctively looked toward the distant horizon.

The young soldier’s eyes lit up.

”The werewolves...”

”They’re here...”

Vanessa turned around, her blue eyes falling on the young soldier once more. Despite the chaos swallowing the battlefield whole, she somehow managed to offer him a small, reassuring smile.

It wasn’t forced.

It wasn’t dramatic.

Just enough to tell him one thing.

You’re still alive. Keep it that way.

Peter stared at her for a brief second before determination replaced the fear lingering in his eyes. He bent down, grabbed a fresh assault rifle lying beside the body of another fallen soldier and quickly checked it.

A full magazine.

He let out a relieved breath.

Vanessa tilted her head ever so slightly.

”What is your name?”

The young soldier straightened instinctively.

”Peter!”

She nodded once.

”Stay alive, Peter.”

His entire body seemed to ignite.

”Yes, ma’am!”

The words burst out of him almost like a roar. His grip tightened around the rifle before he turned and sprinted straight back toward the frontlines. Whatever exhaustion had been weighing on his body moments ago had disappeared. His commander had spoken to him personally.

That alone was enough.

Vanessa watched him disappear into the smoke before slowly closing her eyes.

Just one breath.

One quiet breath amidst a battlefield that had become hell itself.

The explosions...

The screams...

The constant gunfire...

For one brief second, everything faded into silence.

Then...

Her eyes opened.

The gentle warmth inside them vanished completely.

Cold.

Focused.

Unshakable.

A faint blue glow spread across her irises as countless geometric patterns flickered within them.

The battlefield unfolded before her like a giant map.

Every soldier.

Every vampire.

Every collapsing position.

Every incoming attack.

She saw it all.

”There...”

She whispered softly.

A vampire had already broken through the left flank, sprinting across overturned armored vehicles toward a wounded squad trying desperately to reload.

The creature was fast.

Much faster than any ordinary human.

It stretched out its claws—

Only for space itself to suddenly distort.

The vampire’s body froze.

Not because something had grabbed it.

But because the space surrounding it folded inward.

It looked almost as though an invisible cube had formed around its body.

The vampire hissed violently.

It couldn’t move.

Its claws scratched uselessly at empty air.

Vanessa calmly raised one hand.

Her gauntlet hummed.

Blue lines running along the black metal suddenly brightened until they resembled streams of liquid lightning.

Energy gathered inside her palm.

Not fire.

Not electricity.

Pure condensed dimensional energy.

The soldiers nearby instinctively shielded their eyes.

The light became blinding.

Then—

BOOM!!

A concentrated beam erupted from her gauntlet.

It wasn’t wide.

It wasn’t flashy.

It was frighteningly precise.

The beam pierced straight through the trapped vampire before continuing for dozens of meters, punching through four more charging vampires standing directly behind it.

The battlefield seemed to pause.

Five bodies collapsed almost simultaneously.

Vanessa was already gone.

She disappeared from where she had been standing.

Not running.

Not jumping.

Teleporting.

She appeared atop a disabled tank overlooking another section of the battlefield.

Below her, nearly thirty vampires had overwhelmed a machine-gun nest.

The soldiers were fighting hand-to-hand now, desperately trying to buy time for the civilians hidden inside the bunker.

Vanessa didn’t hesitate.

She extended both hands.

The gauntlets on her forearms split apart into overlapping mechanical plates.

Blue energy flooded every gap between them.

The air itself trembled.

Then she pushed both palms forward.

The space in front of her cracked like shattered glass.

A circular distortion expanded outward.

Everything caught inside it—

Stopped.

Bullets.

Dust.

Chunks of concrete.

Even the vampires.

Time hadn’t stopped.

Space had.

Every vampire inside the distorted field suddenly found themselves unable to advance another step.

Their bodies strained.

Their muscles bulged.

Nothing happened.

Vanessa lowered one finger.

The entire field collapsed inward.

WHOOOM!

The compressed space slammed together with terrifying force.

The vampires were hurled backward in every direction as though struck by an invisible tidal wave.

Several smashed into ruined vehicles.

Others crashed through broken walls.

The soldiers stood frozen.

”...What...”

One private blinked repeatedly.

”She...”

”She stopped all of them...”

Vanessa paid them no attention.

She was already moving again.

Another teleport.

Another battlefield.

Another group of soldiers seconds away from being overrun.

Her boots touched the ground silently.

A vampire lunged immediately.

It never reached her.

She simply sidestepped.

Not quickly.

Almost casually.

As it passed beside her, she gently placed two fingers against its shoulder.

”Collapse.”

The space around the vampire twisted violently.

Its own momentum betrayed it.

Instead of continuing forward, the creature folded into the ground as though gravity had suddenly multiplied around it.

The earth beneath exploded into a crater.

Before the dust even settled, Vanessa was already facing three more.

Her gauntlets glowed brighter.

This time, she didn’t fire a beam.

She punched.

The instant her fist met empty air, a shockwave of condensed energy erupted forward.

The blast tore across the battlefield like an invisible battering ram.

Three vampires were launched completely off their feet, crashing through a line of concrete barricades before disappearing beneath the rubble.

Nearby soldiers exchanged stunned looks.

One of them couldn’t help but laugh.

”Hahaha!”

Another quickly joined in.

”She’s here!”

”Commander Vanessa’s here!”

Their morale surged almost instantly.

The fear that had gripped them moments earlier began to disappear.

They raised their rifles again.

”Push them back!”

”Move!”

”For humanity!”

Gunfire erupted with renewed intensity.

Vanessa glanced toward the horizon.

The battlefield stretched for what felt like forever.

Thousands...

There were still thousands.

Her expression remained calm.

”This is only the beginning...”

Then—

Far beyond the battlefield—

Another thunderous howl echoed across the plains.

AWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

This one was closer.

Much closer.

The ground began to tremble beneath everyone’s feet.

Vanessa smiled faintly without turning around.

”They’re finally here.”
