Lust System: Conquering the World Beauties

Chapter 170: Chapter 170 Back From The Dead II

Lilith exhaled deeply, her cold breath curling into the night air.

She slowly unwound her arms from across her chest, her fingers flexing once before resting on the hood of her car. The metal was cool beneath her touch, but not nearly as cold as the storm brewing behind her eyes.

Her voice cut through the silence like a blade.

”You took someone I loved.”

Her tone was calm, almost too calm. But every syllable dripped with venom.

She looked Boss square in the eyes, her jaw set with deadly resolve.

”I won’t forgive you for that,” she said.

”And I won’t end this war.”

A beat of silence followed—heavy, loaded.

Then, it was Boss’s turn to laugh.

He let it out slowly, his body tilting slightly with amusement as if he were at a comedy show. The sound was low and arrogant, laced with mockery.

He pulled out his phone from his pocket and waved it at her casually. ”Tsk, tsk,” he said, shaking his head, ”You should’ve taken the deal when you had the chance.”

Then, with a flick of his thumb, he clicked something on the screen and hit send.

”Message delivered,” he said, slipping the phone back into his coat.

Lilith narrowed her eyes, the tension thickening in her spine.

Boss turned toward her with a smug look.

”I just confirmed Liam’s death to Li,” he said, his voice disturbingly cheerful. ”It’s official now.” He smiled wider, crueler. ”This war will end... and you won’t be around to see it.”

Lilith’s heartbeat didn’t even spike.

But her fingers tightened ever so slightly on the hood behind her.

She watched him.

Unblinking.

Unmoved.

Boss, emboldened by her stillness, took a step forward and raised his arm toward the darkened rooftops above. With a slow rotation of his wrist, his hand spun in a silent signal.

”You didn’t think I’d come here without insurance, did you?” he said, cocking his head mockingly. ”Come on, Lilith. I may be a bastard, but I’m not stupid.”

Lilith didn’t move an inch.

”You won’t dare shoot,” she replied coolly. ”This is a neighborhood. One gunshot—even one—will wake everyone up. You won’t make it out before someone sees your face.”

Boss grinned as if he’d been waiting for her to say that.

”I thought of that already,” he said. ”Silencers. Not loud. Not messy.” He nodded toward the roofs again. ”Nobody will hear a thing.”

He took another step forward, now standing close enough to lower his voice into something sickening.

”And you know,” he muttered, letting his eyes roam across her body like a predator circling prey, ”as much as I hate you... more than my own damn shadow...”

His eyes darkened with perverse desire.

”I still get hard every time I think about you.”

Lilith’s expression twisted, her lip curling slightly in disgust.

Her jaw clenched, not in fear—but rage. Every muscle in her body was screaming to leap across the space and tear his throat out with her bare hands. But logic reined her in.

She couldn’t win.

Not here.

Not yet.

They were two, and even she wasn’t foolish enough to charge blindly into a slaughter.

Boss leaned in just slightly, his voice turning more vile. ”By the time I’m done with you tonight,” he whispered, ”you’ll be on your knees, begging under my dick.”

His words oozed filth.

His confidence was sickening.

But Lilith...

Lilith smiled.

It was faint—so faint it could’ve passed for a twitch—but it was there.

A dangerous smile.

A beautiful, terrifying smile that made the air shift around them.

Boss blinked, confused for half a second.

Lilith slowly straightened, brushing off her hands like dust.

”Call your men out,” she said, her voice calm... too calm. ”Tell them to come out of hiding.”

Boss arched a brow, a slow grin creeping back to his face. ”What’s this?” he asked. ”Impatient for it already?” He laughed darkly. ”You want to die quicker than I thought?”

He turned and waved his hand toward the rooftops again.

”Fine,” he said. ”If that’s how you want to go...”

He looked back at her with twisted satisfaction.

”I’ll grant your wish.”

Boss raised the walkie-talkie to his mouth with an annoyed flick of his wrist, still trying to suppress the unease gnawing at his gut.

”Black One. Black Two. Black Three. Black Four,” he said, voice sharp, commanding. ”Come out. Now.”

Silence.

His jaw tightened.

He raised the device again, this time with a bark.

”Report!”

Nothing.

No footsteps. No voices. Not even a rustle from the shadows.

Boss’s eyes narrowed as he glanced toward the rooftops, then at the alleyways, then back toward Lilith—who sat comfortably on the hood of her car with that smug little smile that never seemed to fade.

The man behind Boss shifted slightly, adjusting his glasses. He sensed it too—something wasn’t right. This was too quiet. Too perfect.

Lilith raised an eyebrow, her expression turning into mock concern as she tilted her head slightly.

”What’s wrong?” she asked, voice sweet like honey poisoned with sarcasm. She waved her hand with a dramatic little flourish. ”Lost your dogs? I could help you whistle for them.”

Boss’s face twisted with frustration. His composure cracked.

”What the fuck did you do?!” he snapped, fury rising fast as he stepped toward her.

Lilith widened her eyes and pointed innocently at herself, then at the car hood beneath her.

”Me?” she said, pretending to gasp. ”I’ve been right here the whole time. Sitting. Watching. Enjoying the show.”

Her grin stretched wider, her eyes gleaming with wicked amusement.

And then—

Sccrrrch.

The sound broke the silence.

A dragging noise.

Heavy.

Slow.

Boss’s heart sank as he turned around.

And what he saw made his blood turn to ice.

Out of the shadows emerged a figure—tall, broad-shouldered, walking with casual dominance, like death itself taking a midnight stroll. His boots scraped against the asphalt as he dragged four limp bodies behind him, one in each hand and two looped through a line over his back.

And his face...

That face.

Boss’s legs nearly gave out.

His eyes widened so much they looked like they’d pop out of their sockets. His mouth opened in a soundless gasp.

It couldn’t be.

It shouldn’t be.

”H-h-how...” he stammered, pointing at the figure as though he were seeing a ghost. ”You should be dead!”

Liam stopped just a few feet away, dropping the lifeless bodies of Boss’s men to the ground with dull, sickening thuds. They were unconscious, not dead—though judging by the blood, they were barely holding onto life.

Liam grinned, his face partly hidden in the glow of the streetlight above. His blue eyes gleamed like cold steel.

”Surprise,” he said casually.

He dusted his palms like the whole thing had been nothing more than a minor chore.

Lilith’s smirk blossomed into a wicked smile of delight. She stood up from the hood and looked directly at Boss.

”Guess you didn’t see that one coming,” she said, her voice smooth and deadly.

Boss stumbled back a step, the last of his composure evaporating. He fumbled at his waist and yanked out a pistol in one swift motion, his eyes locked not on Liam—but on Lilith.

He raised it, finger already tightening around the trigger, aiming right for her beautiful face.

But he never got the chance to fire.

Pfft! Pfft!

Two silenced shots cracked through the air like whispers of death.

The first bullet struck the man behind Boss directly between the eyes. His head snapped back violently, and his body collapsed to the ground like a bag of bones—lifeless, silent, final.

The second bullet struck Boss’s wrist.

He screamed as the gun dropped from his hand, blood spurting in a sharp arc as he fell to his knees, clutching his mangled arm. The weapon clattered uselessly beside him.

He trembled on the cold road, shaking in agony and terror, as the silence returned—oppressive and absolute.

Then came Liam’s voice.

Low.

Cold.

Deadly.

He stepped forward, towering over Boss, his gun raised and aimed directly at his forehead.

”One scream,” Liam said, his voice devoid of mercy, ”and the next bullet goes straight to your lungs.”

Boss whimpered, wide-eyed, frozen like a man who just watched his death walk toward him.

”I’ll gladly watch you drown in your own blood.”

That wasn’t a threat.

It was a promise.

And it was worse than a headshot.

A bullet to the lungs meant slow death. Agonizing. Suffocating. Gasping for breath as the blood filled every corner of your throat, and your body convulsed in desperation.

Boss’s jaw quivered. His pride—gone. His false bravado—shattered. He had come here thinking he controlled the board.

But now?

Now he was just another desperate piece being swept off it.

Lilith stepped beside Liam, her presence regal and untouchable, as she looked down at Boss with unmasked contempt.
