Primordial Heir: Nine Stars

Meanwhile, in another location on the Eastern continent.

Deep within an uninhabited mountain range stood a massive blood-colored altar.

Figures cloaked in black robes moved around the altar, each carrying a still-breathing victim. One by one, they slit the throats of the creatures and half dead people (surely held in captivity for a long time), allowing the fresh blood to spill onto the sacrificial platform.

Before long, a pool of blood began to accumulate atop the altar, some even overflowing and staining the entire structure.

At the altar’s edge, a black-robed figure casually approached a person gazing into the distance.

”New here?”

The individual paused, withdrawing their gaze to look at the newcomer beside them.

”Yeah, just arrived.”

The black-robed figure chuckled. ”Knew it. You’ve got that fresh recruit look. Let me guess—you’re spooked by all this, huh?”

The person didn’t respond but simply chuckled in acknowledgment.

”To be fair, I haven’t seen such a grand spectacle in ages either... Man, those higher-ups are really going all out just to kill that lunatic.”

”Lunatic? Who are you talking about?”

”That would be the Princess of Slaughter, of course!” The black-robed figure glanced around cautiously before lowering his voice. ”That girl is a straight-up slaughter machine!”

”A slaughter machine?”

The person’s expression grew even more intrigued.

”D*mn, you don’t even know that? Let me tell you, that girl from the Raizen family spends her days hunting us down. But honestly? I think she’s absolutely badass!”

The person smirked slightly, watching the black-clothed man with amusement. ”You sure talk like you admire her. Isn’t she your enemy?”

The black-robed figure, oblivious to the shift in the other person’s demeanor, glanced around again before speaking seriously.

”Welcome, it’s true, but I find her cool as well as frightening.”

”She has been hunting us down across the continent. Her efficiency? At least one or two strongholds per day!”

”Half a month ago, one of our branches tried to rally forces and devise a plan to take her down. Guess what happened?”

”What?”

”That girl didn’t even wait for them to act—she stormed the headquarters and wiped them out! She even beheaded their leader—who was a late-stage Red Knight—and put his head on display! Now tell me that isn’t insane!”

The black-robed figure’s voice brimmed with excitement, as if he had personally slaughtered all those foes.

”Yeah... that’s pretty impressive.” The person chuckled lightly but didn’t comment further.

”Right?!” The black-robed figure grinned like a fanboy who had just finished hyping up his idol. But then, his tone dimmed.

”Unfortunately... you know what they say—’the nail that sticks out gets hammered down.’”

”This time, we’re all well-prepared, setting traps for her, and believe me, this time... she might not make it.”

He sighed, glancing at the bloodstained altar in the distance. ”They say this blood altar was prepared by a Priest to summon a powerful monster.”

The person remained silent, their gaze fixed on the blood-colored altar as they murmured softly, ”It’s starting...”

”Huh?” The black-robed figure turned to look—only to see intricate, sinister runes lighting up across the altar, emitting a blood-red glow. It was as if the entire world had been tinted with a crimson filter.

”Holy sh*t, it really is starting! I gotta get back to my spot...”

As the black-robed figure turned to leave, he suddenly thought of something and looked back at the young man. ”Oh right—what’s your name? Which cult are you from? Let’s grab a drink together after this is over!”

He smiled invitingly, and the person returned a warm smile.

In the next moment, the individual tossed aside her black robe, revealing a sword.

Lightning exploded from her body, creating a formidable formation that instantly sealed off the entire blood altar, trapping everyone inside.

Like fish in a barrel.

The overwhelming pressure descended in an instant. Every person present felt an inescapable sense of being locked onto—then dark purple lightning chains shot out, piercing through their bodies and frying their hearts instantly.

”My name is Elysia Raizen!”

With long raven hair and an exquisitely beautiful yet cold face, her pure golden eyes bore into her prey like an apex predator ready to devour all.

The black-robed figure’s eyes widened in shock, his pupils quivering. He opened his mouth to speak, but his body began trembling uncontrollably—his voice utterly failing him.

Elysia smiled knowingly, a smile that sent chills down the spines of the onlookers.

Right in front of the black-robed figure, she pulled out a radiant black-red name list. Casually flipping through it, she read aloud in a calm voice:

”Zac Gifus, twenty-five years old. Three months ago, massacred a small village of thirty-six people to cultivate Blood Arts.”

”N-no, miss, I... I’m not—”

Zac Gifus stammered, but Elysia simply gave him a kind, almost benevolent smile. Then, she casually waved her hand.

”No need to beg. Even if you begged, I wouldn’t let you off.”

At that moment, she stood upon the moral high ground, delivering judgment with righteous conviction.

In the next instant, dark purple lightning chains pierced through Zac’s chest, resulting in instant death. The Blue Knight fell just like that.

Elysia took a step forward, lightning surging forth. In the blink of an eye, she appeared atop the blood altar as if she had teleported.

The two mid-stage Red Knights and an Adept Mage, bound by the purple lightning sealing chains, stared at her in utter speechlessness.

There she stood, one hand holding a name list, the other gripping a sinister-looking sword.

They were absolutely terrified.

Because there was one thing they knew for sure—

The girl before them was a half-step Purple Knight. One must know that Elysia was just twenty years old, possessing such terrifying strength at such a young age; not even the patriarchs at that age were this strong.

But before they could even begin to plead for their lives, she did something shocking.

”I will give you three a chance: attack with everything you’ve got, okay?”

The three freed men exchanged glances, their desperation for survival evident. Perhaps, if they worked together, one of them might make it out alive. Picking up their weapons, their auras burst forth, shimmering in the colors of their respective laws—green and yellow. The Adept Mage, wielding his wand, summoned darkness, instantly enveloping the area.

Two of them vanished, launching a coordinated attack on Elysia from the sides, their swords moving at frightening speeds and striking from tricky angles. One sword sliced through the air with the swiftness of the Law of Wind, while the other was heavy and deliberate, embodying the Law of Earth. They believed they had temporarily blindsided her, giving them a chance to land a hit, but Elysia smiled in the darkness, a dangerous glint in her eyes. Golden lightning exploded from her body, tearing through the shadows like tissue paper. In an instant, she threw her sword, which cut through the air like a comet, piercing the skull of the Adept attempting to sneak around.

Puchi!

Instant death, the Mage died just like that.

Everything unfolded too quickly. Normally, without a weapon in hand, she wouldn’t have been perceived as a threat, but now she seemed even more dangerous. Golden lightning crackled around her hands, condensing into a sword made of pure energy. With it, she blocked the shocked knight’s sword, while golden lightning surged around her legs, forming a lightning boot that propelled her forward to kick one of them flying.

Bang!

”Guh!” That knight was sent sprawling, blood spewing from his mouth as he felt as though he’d been hit by a truck. Most of his internal organs ruptured, and he began to lose consciousness. But before he could succumb, a black sword, seemingly controlled by an unseen force, pierced through his back, shredding his heart.

”Nooo!” The last survivor shouted, his will shattered. Elysia sneered, moving her lightning sword with such speed that he didn’t even see the blow coming before his head rolled away. His final thought echoed in his mind: From the start, we stood no chance; she is truly a monster. Glory to the serpent.

Elysia dispelled her lightning sword, and it returned to her hand. She raised it high, darkening the sky above her as ominous clouds gathered, signaling an impending storm. Then, powerful bolts of lightning descended, obliterating everything in their path—except the area where she stood. Elysia vanished shortly after; it was time to return to the academy. It had been a while since she left on her mission to track down members of the Ouroboros, an organization that worshipped monsters and sought nothing but destruction. These lunatics would massacre villages to perfect their Blood Arts, gaining monstrous strength and turning themselves into actual monsters. For now, only the most powerful believers of the organization could wield this power, yet this once-hidden group had begun to emerge more boldly lately. If left unchecked, it could spell disaster. Elysia was certain that this newfound boldness was merely a method to test the various superpowers, gauging their reactions, and they undoubtedly had a hidden agenda.

”Disgusting!” Elysia spat, her face colder than usual as she moved at high speed. How could humans worship monsters, knowing full well the danger they posed? These creatures existed solely to destroy.
