I'm About to Die, Can't I Buff My Junior Sister's Strength?

382: The first disciple of the eighth generation, Shen Yuan~Outside the trial ruins.

Wind Jade watched in shock as Shen Nian stepped into the thirty-six layer immortal palace of the demon sealing tower, whispering, ”He has already passed the second trial. The thirty-six layer holds no danger; it is merely for imparting the Dao. I wonder which one from the Ninth Mountain has come to impart the Demon Sealing Scripture...”

The so-called thirty-six layers of the demon sealing tower actually only contained demons up to the thirty-fifth layer. The top floor was actually where the Demon Sealing Sect’s past generations Cultivated the Demon Sealing Scripture.

The reason for doing this was simple: it was to use the Demon Sealing Scripture year-round to cleanse the innate Demonic Qi of these great demons.

The great demons suppressed within the demon sealing tower were not weak, but they were not the strongest either. The truly terrifying great demons were either personally sealed by the Demon Sealing Master within the ancient scripture of mountains and seas, or they were directly executed without leaving any survivors.

Those who were left alive were either not guilty of capital crimes or were kept for the Demon Sealing Sect Disciples to train against.

However, to be able to walk through all thirty-five layers of the demon sealing tower, one had to be invincible within their own realm; the strength of these Immortal great demons was unquestionable.

”Hiss...!!”

”It is actually Revered Master Yuan!” Wind Jade’s expression showed disbelief.

Although he was said to be from the Ninth Mountain, in reality, just like that innate spirit, he was a Disciple of the Eighth Generation Demon Sealer. Furthermore, he had entered the sect the earliest; after the Eighth Generation took the position of Demon Sealing Master, he had taken in the then thirteen-year-old Shen Yuan!

It could be said that within the Demon Sealing Sect, Shen Yuan’s status was almost second only to the Eighth Generation Demon Sealer!

There was no other reason!

Apart from the fact that almost all Disciples of the Demon Sealing Sect had received his guidance, it was his terrifying strength.

Revered Master Yuan had never made a move, and he was extremely low-key in his daily life. As the First Disciple of the Eighth Generation, he had never competed with his peers for anything. In that ancient era, on the stage where the Prodigies of the Immortal Realm contended for supremacy, his figure was never seen. Instead, it was the later second Disciple of the Demon Sealing Master who was more dazzling, until that day when the great catastrophe descended.

Only then did the Demon Sealing Sect Disciples realize that this Senior Brother, who seemed cheerful and gentle to others, was so powerful!

He had actually used his cultivation base in the Immortal Realm to hold the rear, single-handedly stopping three great demons of the Ancient Realm!

He did not act unless necessary, but once he did, he crushed his entire generation in the Immortal ancient era!

An unprecedented scene!

That day, a Dao Venerable sighed, ”Before Shen Yuan, the Heavenly Net was unseen. It is a pity, he was just one step away...”

Immediately after, Wind Jade connected something and muttered, ”It is no wonder, after all, this is his descendant...”

Inside the ruins.

Even Shen Nian, who had been prepared, had not expected that inside this thirty-six layer immortal palace, it was not a demon!

It was a person!

A person who caused even Shen Nian to show an unprecedented look of shock!

”Disciple Shen Nian pays respects to the Founding Ancestor!”

Shen Nian stepped forward and bowed respectfully. This was the first time he had shown such a humble posture in this world.

There was no other reason, only because the other person’s appearance was unknown to anyone in the Shen Family, and the other person’s achievements were unreachable by anyone in the Shen Family!

Even when Shen Nian was young, he had worshipped his own Founding Ancestor immensely; that was a reverence engraved into the Soul of every Shen Family member.

The Shen Family Founding Ancestor, Shen Yuan!

It was he who severely injured the Ancient Realm great demon Candle Nine Nethers!

It was he who founded the Shen Family, standing tall for countless years!

It could be said that without Shen Yuan, the Eastern Profound Star would have long since ceased to exist...

”No need to be so formal. Come to think of it, this is not our first meeting...” The young man turned around, revealing a gentle smile. As his pupils opened and closed, it seemed as if the world was being created and destroyed within them.

Upon hearing this, a trace of confusion appeared on Shen Nian’s face.

”Watching Guanyin does not necessarily mean watching oneself; when has True Martial ever seen the True Self? The shackles of the past were but a dream; with no heart and no form, there is no self. A word or half a sentence can lead to the profound; why need thousands of volumes of alchemy books? If a person is not burdened by form, the Great Heavenly Net is right before one’s eyes...”

Shen Nian softly recited.

”The youth from the Cangtian Palace, it is you, Founding Ancestor!” Shen Nian immediately remembered and could not help but say.

Shen Yuan nodded, then shook his head.

This left Shen Nian looking a bit confused.

”Yes, and no.”

”The me of today is a wisp of remnant thought sealed within the sect in the past, while what you saw was a wisp of remnant Soul after my future Dao Fruit shattered. One is the past, the other is the future...”

Shen Yuan explained.

Upon hearing this, Shen Nian understood.

The next second, it was as if time and space were distorted and changed; everything before his eyes seemed to have been meticulously carved by an invisible, skillful hand.

The originally silent space was instantly filled with a beautiful landscape painting. The scene seemed to slowly unfold from a thousand-year-old scroll, carrying the ink fragrance and poetry of accumulated time, leisurely emerging before his eyes.

A simple and elegant pavilion sat quietly within this picturesque scenery.

Its eaves were like a blue bird spreading its wings to fly, with glass wind chimes hanging from the corners.

And not far from the pavilion, several ancient trees rose from the ground.

”I know you have many questions. Sit down and let us talk.”

Shen Yuan’s voice was like a clear spring in the mountains. He was sitting in the pavilion, wearing a moon-white robe, his sleeves fluttering gently with the breeze, looking like an Immortal descending into the world.

His face was handsome, his eyes filled with gentleness and depth. His gesture of gesturing to sit was elegant and calm, as if he had merged with the mountains and water, becoming an indispensable part of the painting.

Shen Nian stepped forward and did not stand on ceremony, sitting opposite Shen Yuan. Before he could speak, he heard the other person’s voice sound again.

”The thirty-six layers of the demon sealing tower do indeed correspond to the number of the Heavenly Net. I am the only one in this world who knows that the Demon Sealing Sect’s demon sealing tower is not some Magic Treasure of heaven and earth, but my Revered Master’s dao palace, the Nine Heavens demon sealing Palace!”

Upon hearing this, Shen Nian’s expression immediately showed shock; he was clearly stunned.

However, upon second thought, it was not strange. After all, he was one of the strongest in this world, and the thirty-six layer immortal palace was not something unique to him, Shen Nian.

”You want to ask why I am on the thirty-six layer?” Shen Yuan smiled gently. He had been referring to himself as ”I” the whole time, without any airs of a Founding Ancestor or elder, looking more like he was chatting with a friend.

Shen Nian nodded.

”Although the second trial of the demon sealing assessment requires reaching the top, in reality, it is already over once you cross the thirty-fifth layer. Your strength is already enough to pass the second trial. As for this thirty-six layer, it is the reward for passing the second trial of the demon sealing assessment: you can learn the unteachable secret of the Demon Sealing Sect that only the demon sealing lineage practices, the Ancient Demon Sealing Scripture.”

”This scripture is not a Divine Ability or a Dao method; it is just a scripture with eight incantations in total. Each incantation was created by a generation of Demon Sealing Dao Venerable, hence there are eight paths...”

”And the reason why I am here is because before the great catastrophe, the Senior Dao Ancestor of the Dao Sect calculated that no one could escape it. The only hope lies in the Ninth Generation Demon Sealer of the future. Nine is the extreme, the Peak; if one does not die, one is invincible.”

”Therefore, my Revered Master also said that the Ninth Generation Demon Sealer is the most powerful one in the eight generations of the demon sealing lineage, but at the same time, also the easiest one to die. How difficult it is to reach the Peak...” Shen Yuan’s eyes held a trace of reminiscence, as if there was incomparable sorrow, thinking of the elders he respected very much.

Shen Nian was silent, showing a thoughtful expression.

He was not overly surprised that the thirty-six layer was for imparting the Dao, but he was shocked that the Ninth Generation Demon Sealer was actually the savior.

If that was the case, then shouldn’t the position of the Ninth Generation Demon Sealer belong to Jun Fengyan?

Only she had participated in the first trial of demon sealing, and she was the Daughter of Destiny. Such a savior role must surely have the protection of heavenly Luck.

However, what truly made him ponder and was unexpected was the identity of the Shen Family Founding Ancestor!

He actually came from the Demon Sealing Sect!!
