I'm About to Die, Can't I Buff My Junior Sister's Strength?

278: The ancestor has appeared! The next second.

”Don’t go over there!”

”You cannot disturb him right now!” Sword Elder immediately spoke up.

Jun Ruyan, who had returned after leaving, said with some helplessness: ”Can we only watch like this?”

”That’s right!”

”I know someone who might know his situation, and this person is right here in the Great Evolution Sword Sect!” Sword Elder’s eyes lit up as he spoke.

”Who?” Jun Ruyan wore an expression of disbelief. There is such a person in the Great Evolution Sword Sect? How could I not know?

”Your Revered Master!”

”Hmm?” Jun Ruyan was instantly stunned on the spot, her voice involuntarily rising a few notches as she said excitedly: ”My Revered Master?”

”Isn’t he dead!”

Her Revered Master, the previous Sect Master of the Great Evolution Sword Sect, was also the foster father who raised her!

When she reached the Return to Void Realm, he had passed away in the Ancestral Temple because his Lifespan was nearing its end. Many years had passed; how could it be said now that he is alive?

”How could that old bastard die?”

”He lied to you!”

”It was nothing more than faking his death to escape. He claimed to be tired of the conflicts, but I think it was purely because he saw you were already capable of shouldering the responsibilities of the Great Evolution Sword Sect and wanted to slack off. He even came here to drink with me a few days ago...”

”He holds the Great Evolution Sword Emperor in the highest reverence and is the one who has studied the Great Evolution Nine Swords the deepest throughout the generations. He definitely knows.” Sword Elder spoke softly, and looking at Jun Ruyan’s watery eyes, he couldn’t help but say: ”Don’t you know? I thought he had already told you...”

”????”

”Revered Master... is still alive??”

Hearing these words, Jun Ruyan felt as if she were in a dream. Immediately, her voice trembled as she asked: ”Where is Revered Master?”

”In the Ancestral Temple. Hasn’t he always been guarding the Great Evolution Sword Emperor’s statue...”

Before Sword Elder’s voice had even faded, Jun Ruyan’s figure instantly vanished from where she stood.

Regarding this, Sword Elder did not pay much attention, his gaze remaining locked on the black-clad figure. At this moment, the thing he cared about most in his heart was Shen Nian.

Great Evolution Sword Sect, Ancestral Temple.

A towering bronze statue stood within the temple, hands behind its back, wearing a green robe. Above the neck was a peerless face; even as a statue, it was beautiful enough to shock people, not like a person of the Mortal world.

”Immortal above, Disciple Lin Feng has come to burn incense for you again.”

An old man with a crane-like complexion and youthful face bowed respectfully before the bronze statue. Before this massive statue, he was like an ant, his pair of weathered eyes filled with intense reverence.

Lin Feng!

The previous Sect Master of the Great Evolution Sword Sect!

A Peak Hedao cultivator, who once slew a Demon Emperor, had an excellent relationship with the Shen Family’s Old Ancestor, Shen Min, and was also the most fanatical follower of the Great Evolution Sword Emperor!

It was only because his ancestors had received the Great Evolution Sword Emperor’s enlightenment that only he knew some of the truths about the Great Evolution Sword Sect from years ago.

Just at this moment.

Lin Feng’s eyelids twitched as he sensed something and thought to himself: ”Oh no!”

”It must be that old ghost Sword Elder who couldn’t keep his mouth shut!”

”Run?”

”It seems it’s too late...”

He heard a woman shout loudly.

”Revered Master!!”

Jun Ruyan walked into the Ancestral Temple, and seeing that familiar back, she became somewhat dazed, tears streaming down continuously.

Until Lin Feng turned around, revealing a smile of guilt.

”Ruyan...”

”You’ve really become more and more capable...”

Hearing these words, Jun Ruyan gritted her teeth and asked: ”Why?!”

”Why did Revered Master lie to me!”

Lin Feng walked to Jun Ruyan’s side and said helplessly: ”Sigh, I’m sorry...”

”Revered Master felt that if I stayed by your side, you would ultimately find it difficult to step into the Hedao Realm and stand on your own two feet, so I thought of the method of faking my death. After you reached Hedao, I also wanted to see you many times, but...”

”I was a bit afraid...” Lin Feng scratched his head with an apologetic look.

Jun Ruyan just gritted her teeth and looked at Lin Feng without speaking, just like a woman who had been wronged.

”Uh...” Seeing this, Lin Feng was a bit at a loss, then turned around to look at the bronze statue behind him and said: ”Ruyan, I know you blame Revered Master, and I accept it. The reason I did this is because Revered Master has high hopes for you...”

”Do you know why I made you share the same surname as the founder of our Great Evolution Sword Sect...”

”It is because Revered Master wanted, one day, when the Great Evolution Sword Emperor descends to the Mortal world, she would be able to take one more look at you...”

”Just one look would be enough...”

”What does Revered Master mean by that?” Jun Ruyan couldn’t help but ask, her heart almost unable to bear it!

Could it be that the Great Evolution Sword Emperor is still alive?

This is simply...!

”That’s right, the Old Ancestor is still alive, I can guarantee it!”

”Because the Old Ancestor is not a Mortal, but an Immortal...” Lin Feng looked at the statue with a fanatical gaze.

”Immortal??” Hearing this word, Jun Ruyan couldn’t help but tremble all over.

Searching through the history of the Human Race, one could only find traces of Immortals in legends!

Now her Revered Master was telling her that the Great Evolution Sword Emperor is an Immortal!

How could she not be shocked!!

”That is a long story. Listen to Revered Master as I tell it slowly. It was a sunny and beautiful morning. My ancestor was a simple and unpretentious villager, and one day...”

”Wait a moment!” Jun Ruyan immediately interrupted. Recalling the situation with Emperor Shen while he was comprehending the ninth stele, she immediately withdrew all her emotions and said: ”Revered Master, come with me to the Sword Mausoleum right now!”

”Is it because of the person comprehending the Nine Swords today?” Lin Feng asked.

His Realm had long since sensed that someone had comprehended the Nine Swords; after all, the commotion just now was so great.

However, he was accustomed to a plain life and had heard what kind of Aptitude a true Immortal possessed. Although he felt surprised, it was not enough to make him run over to watch.

”That’s right!”

”Revered Master knows?”

”Isn’t Revered Master shocked that someone could comprehend the Great Evolution Sword Emperor’s strongest Nine Swords in such a short time!!!” Jun Ruyan couldn’t help but ask. If Revered Master knew, why didn’t he go to the Sword Mausoleum? Could he really be this calm?

”Strongest?”

”Wrong. There are some things I didn’t tell you before, but now that you are the Sect Master of the Great Evolution Sword Sect, you should know.”

”Actually, the Great Evolution Sword Emperor’s strongest aspect is not the sword!”

”The Nine Swords were merely something she created casually...”

”The Great Evolution Sword Emperor’s methods are no longer something that we ants can fathom. Even if someone has comprehended the Nine Swords, it only means his talent is good; it is not enough to cause my Dao Heart to fluctuate...” Lin Feng said very calmly.

”But Revered Master, he is the Head of the Shen Family and also the current Human Emperor. If something happens to him, the Great Evolution Sword Sect will...”

Before Jun Ruyan had finished speaking, she saw Lin Feng take the lead.

”What are you waiting for? Let’s go!”

In the blink of an eye.

Lin Feng had already arrived at the Sword Mausoleum with Jun Ruyan. When he saw a Woman in Green Robes, whose appearance was like a celestial being and whose beauty made the heavens and earth pale in comparison, holding a large white cat and appearing beside the ninth stele, Lin Feng was completely stunned.

”This...”

”Immortal!!”

”Old Ancestor!!”

Jun Ruyan’s pupils shrank violently.

At this moment, the entire Sword Mausoleum fell silent!

”The Old Ancestor has manifested!!!!” An Elder of the Great Evolution Sword Sect shouted excitedly, wanting to rush over to kneel and worship.

But his figure was instantly grabbed back by Lin Feng.

”You are...”

”Old Sect Master???” The Elder was instantly dumbfounded.

”Don’t be impulsive!”

”The Old Ancestor is capricious and extremely terrifying. The Old Ancestor does not know you all; rashly approaching the Old Ancestor will surely lead to death!” Lin Feng said with a grave expression, while his eyes were filled with excitement and worship as he looked at the Woman in Green Robes.

According to the records of the Lin Family’s Old Ancestor, Jun Fengyan’s temperament was extremely cold and aloof, and she very much disliked strangers.
