Martial God Asura

Chapter 6253: Claiming the Initiative

“What if I refuse?” Chu Feng asked.

“Young friend, you’re being unreasonable. You should think on our behalf too. We didn’t work hard to enter the tower just to dawdle around. You can’t just throw away our future just because you have someone backing you outside,” the old man said.

“Indeed, indeed!”

“That bit of incentive you gave us can’t do much. We suffered so much to activate the Immemorial Bloodline Tower. It would be all in vain if we don’t get something from it.”

As more people voiced their support, the old man became even more brazen.

He sent a voice transmission to everyone present except for Chu Feng and Wang Qiang, telling them that they were the only ones here and that they could just murder Chu Feng and Wang Qiang, take the tower token, and split their treasures.

He said those words in a subtle manner, but to his surprise, quite a few people agreed with him.

Most people were still hesitant to make a move on Chu Feng because they were afraid of the Heavenly Dragon World Spiritist; they were worried that the latter would go after them if Chu Feng disappeared here.

Nevertheless, the old man decided to go ahead with it. He would just have to kill those who disagreed with him together with Chu Feng and Wang Qiang.

Little did he know that Chu Feng’s grasp of the tower token far surpassed their wildest imagination. Not only could Chu Feng hear their voice transmission through the tower token, but he could extend the privilege to Wang Qiang too.

A cold gleam flashed across Wang Qiang’s eyes. He had already made up his mind to kill them after hearing about their ploy.

Holding the tower token, Chu Feng waved his sleeves.

What happened next stunned the majority of the crowd—Chu Feng had released them from their binding with the tower token.

“You may go,” Chu Feng said.

He had released those who dared not kill him from the tower token. Granted that they had betrayed Chu Feng during the trial, a distinction should be made between reality and illusion.

He understood that it was because of Jie Shanxian that they dared not kill him, but it was still a fact that they had refused to work with the old man. He had no qualms about taking the lives of others, but he still had a set of principles that he followed.

“Milord, we...”

Those released from the tower token were dumbstruck.

“Your refusal to kill me has made you an eyesore to the rest of them. I’m saving you by letting you go now, or else they might seek to silence you,” Chu Feng said.

The crowd was stunned.

“How dare you rat on me? The lot of you better stay put!” the old man roared in anger as he unleashed his rank four True God level oppressive might.

Chu Feng had been alerted to their plan, but how did he find out about it? Someone must have told him. But this worked in the old man’s favor, as he now had a legitimate excuse to silence them.

The crowd was horrified. They could sense the rank four True God level old man’s killing intent.

Instead of attacking right away, the old man turned to Chu Feng. “I hesitated whether I should deal with you or not, but with things coming to this point, there is no reason for me to hold back anymore. Brat, I don’t give a damn about you, but I am interested in your treasures. You’re a goner in this life, so I suggest you wise up in your next. Don’t flaunt your wealth in public when you don’t have the strength to protect it, or else you’re only courting your death.”

Pu!

A formation sword pierced through the old man’s dantian. Chu Feng was still standing on the spot, but the formation sword was extended from his palm.

“Someone is courting his death, but a pity it isn’t me,” Chu Feng snickered as he looked at the old man with contemptuous eyes.

“R-rank one True Dragon! He’s a rank one True Dragon World Spiritist? But how did he defeat that old man?!”

The crowd was baffled to see a rank one True Dragon World Spiritist subduing a rank four True God level cultivator so easily.

The old man couldn’t speak. He could only stare at Chu Feng in shock as the formation sword inflicted tremendous torture on him.

“I overheard your voice transmissions, so I prepared a share for the rest of you too,” Chu Feng sneered.

The formation sword that pierced through the old man’s body suddenly extended, piercing through over three thousand bodies in the blink of an eye like a candied hawthorn, popping all of their dantians.

Those who survived the ordeal were horrified to witness Chu Feng’s brutality. Many kneeled and begged for mercy.

“Watch your mouth when you leave. You may go now.”

Chu Feng didn’t make things hard for them. To be honest, he wasn’t worried about them running their mouths outside as he knew his identity was bound to be exposed today.

The survivors quickly turned tail and fled.

Chu Feng tightly gripped the tower token as he formed a hand seal. Nine-colored lightning surfaced on his formation sword and surged through the bodies of the skewered cultivators.

Screams of agony filled the air.

Their bodies convulsed in sheer pain as their eyeballs rolled upward. White froth dribbled from their mouths. They were swiftly approaching their limits.

But Chu Feng stopped the lightning right before they were about to die.

All screams halted right away. The cultivators stood orderly on the spot like puppets.

Chu Feng constructed a small spatial formation, which exerted a suction force that took away all the cultivators’ clothes and treasures.

“Brother, w-w-what are you doing?” Wang Qiang asked.

He could tell that Chu Feng was up to something.

“While I was activating the Immemorial Bloodline Tower, I noticed that the tower token’s formation can be used to control the people bound to it like puppets, but this will result in the puppets’ deaths. Since I’m going to kill these people anyway, I thought I might as well use them as puppets,” Chu Feng said.

“They are lucky to die l-l-like that.” Wang Qiang harrumphed.

“Indeed. They are lucky to get away with this much after conspiring to kill the two of us. However, I need them to do something for me. Think of it as a way for them to make up for their sins,” Chu Feng said.

The formation sword instantly retracted into his palm.

These naked cultivators looked no different from normal people at first glance, but their consciousness had already been destroyed, making them empty shells. They were already doomed to die.

Chu Feng ordered these cultivators to enter the forest, but he had them scatter in different directions.

“What are you using them for?” Wang Qiang asked.

“To claim the initiative,” Chu Feng replied with a smile.

He walked up to Wang Qiang, raised his finger, and transmitted a surge of light into the latter’s head. It was a map of the Immemorial Bloodline Tower.
