Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 971: Chapter 357: Successful Capture, Crafting the Griffin Cage!

A few minutes later, the group returned to the vicinity of the territory.

The Polar People, who were working, were incredibly surprised to see the gryphons being dragged by the centaurs.

”Oh! By the Earth Cave God, I just saw the Lord rush out and wondered what was happening.”

”And now in the blink of an eye, even such fierce creatures are tied up and brought back!”

”Haha! Truly, the Lord is amazing!”

”Indeed, the Lord is a miraculous existence, there is nothing he cannot do.”

”...”

Ignoring the chatter of the Polar People, Cao Xing quickly granted permissions to these gryphons.

Then he led the group to the fourth ring of the territory.

Cao Xing stopped at the door of the Blacksmith Shop and shouted loudly: ”Harold, come out, there’s work to be done!”

Upon hearing the shout, the sound of forging quickly stopped inside.

The dwarf emerged from the Blacksmith Shop, bringing his wife and the two blacksmith apprentices with him.

Seeing Cao Xing at the door, Harold looked puzzled.

”Lord, do you have any orders?”

Cao Xing pointed to the massive creature tied to the sled and said directly: ”Look there.”

When Harold saw those monsters, he was immediately shocked.

Even from a distance, one could feel the fierce power of those gryphons!

Putana and the two blacksmith apprentices also looked at the heavily bound monsters in astonishment.

With a tone of awe, Harold said: ”Lord, gryphons are not creatures one can easily encounter.”

”According to legends, these creatures usually live in cliffs and are social animals.”

”Could it be that you’ve found their lair?”

Cao Xing laughed: ”I haven’t found this group of gryphons’ nest yet. These were gryphons out searching for food and we happened to encounter them.”

Harold showed an expression of realization.

Cao Xing said directly: ”I want to keep them in the territory for a while and later find a way to tame them.”

”Right now, we need some gryphon cages capable of caging them, can you manage to craft them?”

The Dwarf Blacksmith pondered for a moment and then replied: ”Crafting something that can confine such infinitely strong creatures requires extremely sturdy materials; ordinary iron cages definitely won’t do.”

”However, since the Lord brought back a large amount of fine iron, which is much stronger than common iron, and with the addition of a small amount of mithril and a piece or two of constant gold to greatly enhance its toughness, it should be sufficient to create gryphon cages capable of holding these monsters.”

Cao Xing’s lips curled into a smile, ”Good, I knew you’d find a way.”

The Dwarf Blacksmith gave a humble smile.

”By the way, how long will it take for the four cages?” Cao Xing continued to ask.

The Dwarf Blacksmith thought for a moment before replying: ”My Lord, I’ll have them finished by tomorrow morning!”

Cao Xing nodded slightly, ”Alright, then it’s your time to shine!”

The Dwarf Blacksmith waved his hand and quickly started working with his wife and apprentices.

Cao Xing looked at the soldiers nearby.

”Until our blacksmith crafts the gryphon cages, you are responsible for watching over these gryphons, any issues?”

”No problem, My Lord!”

The soldiers responded firmly!

”Very well, I’ll leave it to you then.”

With that, Cao Xing left the area directly.

As he walked towards the center of the territory, he couldn’t help but hum a little tune.

His mood was very good.

Unexpectedly, there was a surprise harvest upon returning to the territory.

Even managing to capture four gryphons.

Next, as long as they are tamed, the issue of his weak aerial force would be resolved.

After all, in the entire territory, those with flight capability were only him and Franciska.

Of course, there’s a risk involved.

Housing the gryphons in his territory might provoke other gryphons, and the ones from the nest might come looking.

But Cao Xing was not worried at all.

After all, he wasn’t afraid of that group of gryphons in the wild.

Moreover, this was within his territory.

If that group of gryphons dared to come, Harold might have to make a few more gryphon cages.

Cao Xing thought with amusement, ”Later on, when there’s time, send a group of centaurs to explore the nearby mountains and see if we can find the gryphons’ nest.”

”If it can be found, that would be best; by then, I’ll find a way to capture them all at once!”

”Then I can establish my own Gryphon Knight Squad!”

Thinking of this, another smile appeared on Cao Xing’s lips.

Then, he continued towards the market area.

He placed all the Cold Spirit Water Ji Xinyue had prepared for him on the ground.

Over a hundred barrels of Cold Spirit Water, contained in wooden barrels, emitted a faint white mist.

And Cao Xing lifted his magic wand, deliberating in his heart: ”According to Franciska’s explanation, one only needs to inject ice attribute magic power into it to lower the Cold Spirit Water’s temperature.”

”However, it’s necessary to control the amount of magic power injected, otherwise, if the Cold Spirit Water freezes, the process fails.”

Thinking of this, Cao Xing held his magic wand, channeling a strong ice attribute magic power from within himself.

Ever since mastering [Intermediate Cold Ice Control], he could perform such basic magical outflows.

As threads of ice attribute magic power were infused into one of the barrels of Cold Spirit Water.

It was clear that a change occurred within the Cold Spirit Water.

The temperature dropped significantly, tiny threads of white mist rose.

Just a few seconds later, the temperature of this barrel of Cold Spirit Water seemed to reach a critical point.

Then, in a matter of seconds, it directly turned into ice.

”Crack! Crack!”

As a cracking sound appeared, it indicated the failure in making Extreme Ice Water.

Cao Xing froze for a moment, then quickly deduced the reason for the failure.

”It was likely that the speed of magic power injection was too fast, causing disorder among the ice elements inside the Cold Spirit Water, thus freezing it completely.”

”Seems like I’ll have to be more cautious next time.”

With this thought, he raised his magic wand again, starting to infuse magic power.

This time, his movements were very slow and extremely cautious.

Almost like treating those women tasting forbidden fruit for the first time...

After almost a minute of magic power infusion.

Cao Xing noticed that the barrel of Cold Spirit Water finally changed.

The mist no longer emanated from the surface, and it became absolutely pure.

However, as Cao Xing approached, even through the wooden barrel he could feel the intense chill!

”This should be a success, right?”

With an uncertain expression, Cao Xing glanced over.

[Extreme Ice Water: Water containing intense ice attribute magic power and life force]

[Upon consumption, it can restore some life value and spirit, and is also one of the main ingredients for creating certain high-level secret medicines.]

...

Instantly joy lit up his eyes.

”Haha! It’s done!” Cao Xing exclaimed in delight.

This barrel of Extreme Ice Water weighed at least thirty kilograms, more than enough to produce several hundred bottles of secret medicine.
