Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 313: Chapter 167: Heavy Snow, Excited Subjects!_4

The Holy Light Priest beside him reflected thoughtfully, “Happiness? In such a cruel world, happiness is an even more extravagant desire than warmth.”

“Even the Church Court cannot make people feel happy…”

She watched Cao Xing’s back, seemingly pondering something.

At this moment, Cao Xing noticed the subject, Cao Yi, nearby, and then said, “Cao Yi, report today’s work.”

The elderly Cao Yi walked over with firm steps and said solemnly, “Returning to the Lord.”

“Today, we dispatched a total of forty people to collect resources at five points outside.”

“A total of 7,644 units of Wood, 5,324 Stones, and 1,455 units of Coal were collected.”

“Then there are some metal ores; after processing, we obtained 894 units of Iron and 532 units of Copper.”

Cao Xing nodded.

These were all basic resources for the Territory and were quite important.

If basic resources were sufficient, Cao Xing wouldn’t need to trade at the market for these things but could focus on trading for Ice Dragon Marks, Skill Books, blueprints, and other things beneficial to enhancing strength.

“Cao Yi, continue.”

Subject Cao Yi said, “After two days of mining, one of our small Wood resources points has been exhausted.”

“Kandar and the Kanter Warriors found a medium-sized forest five kilometers away, where the Wood should be enough for us to harvest for seven days.”

“However, they found Jungle Troll footprints in the forest, but as it was getting dark, they didn’t enter.”

“Apart from these, we have constructed half of the Mid-Rank city walls, seven Basic Elemental Arrow Towers, and five Frost Arrow Towers.”

“However, leveling up the Bonfire to 12, we stopped because leveling it to 13 requires Mithril, this precious metal.”

Cao Xing thought for a moment, then looked towards the Melting Furnace at the center of the Territory.

[Melting Furnace: Level 12]

[Furnace Effect: Can increase the temperature in a 1,500-meter diameter area by 27°C~35°C]

[Consumption: 60 minutes/240 Wood or 60 minutes/60 Coal.]

[Materials required for the next level: Stones*1000, Wood 500, Iron*300, Copper*100, Mithril*20, Basic Elemental Crystals*10]

(Description: A melting furnace that can provide a significant heat source. With it, you have the ability to survive in this extremely cold world.)

…

After upgrading the Melting Furnace to Level 12, the heating range increased by another 500 meters, and the temperature slightly improved.

However, Cao Xing currently had no plans to expand the Territory; the current land area was sufficient.

Indeed, as Cao Yi mentioned, upgrading the Furnace from Level 12 to 13 started to require Mithril.

Cao Xing glanced at the inventory, assessing the reserve of those precious materials.

[Basic Elemental Crystals*472]

[Intermediate Elemental Crystals*87]

[Mithril*519]

[Constant Gold Ingot*26]

[Demon Pattern Stone*6]

…

Cao Xing thought to himself, “The Mithril reserve is relatively sufficient and can be used to forge many things.”

“However, Constant Gold Ingot and Demon Pattern Stone are the materials for building the Hero Altar, and there aren’t enough of them.”

With this thought, he had already made a decision and then instructed, “Cao Yi, start upgrading the Melting Furnace from tomorrow, and continue until it reaches Level 15, then stop.”

“Then, upgrade our ten Basic Elemental Arrow Towers to Intermediate.”

“The other people should continue collecting resources with full effort, just like today.”

Subject Cao Yi respectfully said, “Yes, Lord!”

At this moment, Old Mel also walked over, “Lord, there is good news!”

“The Cloud Yak’s emotions have stabilized, and we can collect the first batch of hair tonight!”

Upon hearing this, Cao Xing’s eyes instantly brightened up!
