Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Shi Weiqing: “Up there, you’re just biting off more than you can chew. Look at me, I haven’t recruited a single Polar Person. My brother and I go out hunting, and the food we get is enough to feed our whole family for days.”

Ying Yawei: “Wuwuwu… I summoned an Orc Warrior yesterday, and he eats 20 servings of food in one go. He finished all the food on my territory in two days. Now there’s no food to feed him, and this Orc has started rummaging through everything and even smashing my house. What should I do now?”

Fu Li: “Oh no! Two Ice Nests appeared outside my territory. I didn’t manage them, and now there are hundreds of Ice Nest Monsters outside. They’ve completely surrounded my territory; I can’t even get out. Once the newbie protection period ends tomorrow, I’m done for!”

Chen Yangyang: “Hahaha! You guys are really in a bad spot. I’m in a good mood today, so let me tell you a quick leveling trick.”

“Isn’t that Ice Nest Monsters are everywhere now? Lure them over and use ranged attacks to take them down. Since it’s still the newbie protection period, the monsters can’t get in, and they’re too dumb to run even when their blood volume is low.”

“As long as you’re brave enough and lure enough monsters, you can kill them nonstop and your experience points will spike. I’ve used this method and leveled up to 5!”

Listening to Chen Yangyang’s tips, the other survivors suddenly realized something.

“Damn! This method seems like it could actually work!”

“Thanks for sharing your experience, big bro!”

“Good things happen to good people; may you have eight kids in one go.”

The survivors were ecstatic and hurriedly went to check near their territories, looking for any Ice Nest Monsters they could lure over.

Especially the survivor surrounded by thousands of Ice Nest Monsters, who suddenly found a lifeline.

Cao Xing nodded quietly, acknowledging that Chen Yangyang indeed had some skills.

The Giant Dragon Awakening expansion might seem like a disaster, but for some survivors, it was an opportunity.

Normally, it would be tough for them to find so many low-level monsters near their territories to level up.

Besides that, many survivors started posting trade information.

Liu Dong: “Green Quality Dead Wood Wand for a Green Quality Great Sword, only want the Great Sword.”

Huang Qingyang: “20 pieces of Iron for 5 food items, any kind will do.”

Lan Song: “10 pieces of Black Bread for 1 piece of meat, any takers? I’ve been eating black bread for days and I’m about to throw up.”

Guan He: “I’ve put bird meat up for sale on the trading channel, need lots of resources and equipment, first come first serve.”

Looking at their trade offers, Cao Xing pondered for a moment.

Survivors now had some resources in hand, but meat was still scarce.

Whenever a survivor sold meat, it commanded a high price.

Then, Cao Xing posted his own trade offer.

[Auction Items: Ice Ball Bomb Rabbit Meat (Green)]

[Stock Inventory: 1,500 pieces.]

[Required Items: Ice Crystal Stone, Ice Glacier Sliver, Ice Dragon Mark, Basic Elemental Crystal, Mithril, etc.]

[Seller Notes: Selling rabbit meat that can enhance attributes, and rabbit skins for making warm clothes. Need various diagrams, skill books, materials, items.]

…

Cao Xing planned to first release a batch of green rabbit meat in exchange for some materials, diagrams, skill books, and so on.

Even if it was just a part, it totaled 1,500 pieces of rabbit meat, divided into 100g transactions, allowing for up to 15,000 trades!

That would have a huge impact on the market in Channel 174.

At this moment, some survivors watching the Market also noticed what Cao Xing had listed.

“Huh? Bomb Rabbit Meat, gives 1 point of Spirit on first use? This is good stuff!”

And when they saw the auction person’s name, they were shocked.

“Well, it’s Cao Xing, the big boss. I was wondering who could offer so much attribute-boosting rabbit meat!”

Meanwhile, someone shouted in the chat channel.

“Brothers, Cao Xing, the big boss, has put up great stuff again, this time it’s attribute-boosting rabbit meat and the price is cheaper than others, hurry!”

Seeing this person’s excitement, many survivors couldn’t help but open the Market.

“Damn! It’s Spirit-boosting green rabbit meat!”

“Let me see the price, 1 Ice Crystal Stone for 100g of rabbit meat, so 10 stones for a whole piece of rabbit meat.”

“Ice Glacier Slivers and Ice Dragon Marks can also be exchanged, 3 materials for 100g of rabbit meat, 30 materials for a whole piece of rabbit meat.”

“There are other materials too, Basic Elemental Crystal, Mithril, Pet Contract, Cao Xing is accepting them all!”

Other survivors heard and exclaimed with joy: “Great, Cao Xing’s prices are always so reasonable. Though a bit pricey, they’re way better than others.”

“Awesome! I happen to have some Mithril and Ice Crystal Stones, nothing to use them for right now, exchanging them for attribute-boosting meat is a win!”

“I also have a Pet Contract, but it has only a 5% success rate. I wonder if Cao Xing would accept it.”

“Hurry, guys, 1,500 pieces only, won’t be any left if you’re late!”

Right then, a survivor named Gong Zongrui said: “Just a reminder, the new expansion is opening soon, Ice Glacier Slivers and Ice Dragon Marks can be exchanged for items. I suggest you keep some for yourselves.”

Another survivor, Qian Jishan, retorted: “You keep them if you want; I’m going for the attribute boost first!”

Others chimed in: “That’s right, getting through the current hardship is key.”

Suddenly, a wave of survivors opened the Market and began trading with Cao Xing.

[Trade Successful, you received Ice Glacier Sliver *60, you lost Ice Ball Bomb Rabbit Meat *2]

[Trade Successful, you received Basic Elemental Crystal *10, you lost Ice Ball Bomb Rabbit Meat *1]

[Trade Successful, you received Mithril *20, you lost Ice Ball Bomb Rabbit Meat *1]

[Trade Successful, you received Basic Pet Contract *1, you lost Ice Ball Bomb Rabbit Meat *1]

[Trade Successful…]

System messages flooded the screen.

This time, Cao Xing traded over two thousand pieces of rabbit meat, which could be divided into over twenty thousand portions to sell.

But he only sold 1,500 pieces, with the rest reserved as his backup supply.

The green rabbit meat was highly sought after, and soon, Cao Xing sold all 1,500 portions he had!

Looking at the pile of materials in his backpack, a strong sense of joy appeared in Cao Xing’s eyes.

Reviewing his gains.

Accumulated: Ice Glacier Sliver *7,780

Ice Dragon Mark *15,440

Ice Crystal Stone (Green) *1,184

Basic Elemental Crystal *354

Mithril *484 block

Basic Pet Contract *51 sheets

And a bunch of other assorted materials, rich in variety.

Cao Xing nodded in satisfaction.

“Good, I collected a lot of Ice Dragon Marks and Ice Glacier Slivers this time.”

“Although I don’t know how many Ice Dragon Marks it will take to exchange once the new expansion opens, with the reserves I have, I should be able to trade for plenty of good items!”

Because today was the first day of the expansion pre-launch, not many Ice Nests appeared across regions.

Holding two kinds of materials, Cao Xing possessed at least 70% of the reserves in Area 174.

Unfortunately, Cao Xing did not manage to trade for a single skill book or blueprint.

This was because the Ice Ball Bomb Rabbit Meat was only Green Grade, offering only 1 point of Spirit attribute. Thus, those holding diagrams and skill books were not moved.

By now, everyone understood the importance of these items and would hardly trade them away casually.

But no worries, the green-grade rabbit meat wasn’t enough to stir their interest.

Cao Xing had more advanced Blue Elite Rabbit Meat.

This item directly granted 2 points of Spirit and 2 points of Constitution, as valuable as Fierce Bear Meat!

So, he listed a new trade offer.

[Auction Items: Frost Bomb Rabbit Meat (Blue)]

[Stock Inventory: 100 pieces]

[Required Items: Skill Book, Territory Construction Drawings, Magic Plants.]

[Seller Notes: Blue rabbit meat, +2 points of Spirit and Constitution. Only skill books and drawings needed. If you have any special items, please private message me.]

[Auction Person: Cao Xing]

…

Not long after he listed the blue-quality rabbit meat, it quickly drew massive attention from survivors.

“Damn! Guys, there’s an even bigger deal, Frost Bomb Rabbit Meat, with 2 points of Spirit and Constitution. It’s a blessing for magic professions!”

“Yeah, though Fierce Bear Meat was great, it was top-notch for Power system players. Didn’t expect Cao Xing to offer rabbit meat perfect for magic professions so soon.”

“But it’s a pity that other materials can’t be used for exchange. I have a good amount of Mithril!”

“Hahaha! Need territory construction drawings? I have a first-tier city wall blueprint. Wonder if Cao Xing wants it.”

“I have a heating duct blueprint too, should ask if Cao Xing wants it.”

Meanwhile, Cao Xing received a flood of private messages.

Survivors started posting drafts of their blueprints in the chat channel, and Cao Xing set prices based on their rarity.

There amidst it, Cao Xing indeed found many good things.

Such as: Basic Level City Wall Construction Blueprint, Bakery Construction Blueprint, Cowshed Construction Blueprint, etc.

Moreover, there were some exciting skills: Ice Wall Skill, Big Ice Spear, Holy Healing Skill.

He even found Snow Hunter’s Hunter Perception and Mechanic’s Firepower Enhancement among them.

Cao Xing felt a surge of joy inside. “Truly, as long as I offer something enticing to these survivors, they’ll be willing to bring out their good stuff.”

With this, Xia Yanni and Tong Chuchu could relax at home while leveling up.

In excitement, Cao Xing started sending out prices one by one and began negotiations.
