Chapter 3859: Mountain Roar’s Approval

The old muscular man continued examining Little Bull.

His gaze slowly moved from Little Bull’s head toward his feet and Lin Mu felt the man’s attention... It was surprisingly sharp.

’He’s checking my physique.’ Lin Mu remained still.

Peak Head Mountain Roar’s eyes narrowed slightly. Lin Mu wondered if the man had noticed something.

The Absolute Body Control Art had allowed Lin Mu to reproduce the changes caused by basic body tempering techniques. His cultivation base remained hidden beneath the Abyssal Horizon Veil Seal, while his Immortal Qi was constantly being redirected.

His physical body was harder to conceal. Lin Mu could alter his vitality. He could adjust his muscles. He could control his heartbeat. Yet the fundamental strength of his body remained. Peak Head Mountain Roar was likely experienced enough to notice strange details.

Lin Mu waited and the old man looked at Little Bull for nearly half a minute. Then a faint smile appeared upon his wrinkled face.

”Good child!” His voice boomed through the hall.

The stone beneath Lin Mu’s feet faintly vibrated and Little Bull blinked. High Elder Shatter Peak immediately grinned.

”See!” he said proudly. ”I told you. Our new junior is perfect for us.”

”Indeed.” High Elder Palm Saber agreed.

Peak Head Mountain Roar stroked his beard. ”Very good.”

Little Bull scratched his head. ”Thank you?”

High Elder Shatter Peak laughed while Peak Head Mountain Roar leaned forward, making the stone throne creak.

Lin Mu’s eyes briefly moved toward it.

’That thing is probably an Immortal Tool.’ He doubted ordinary stone could survive the old man’s weight and strength.

Peak Head Mountain Roar extended one enormous hand. ”Come, child.”

Little Bull looked at the hand.

”Let me check your body.” Peak Head Mountain Roar said.

Lin Mu’s thoughts immediately became alert. This was exactly what he had feared might eventually happen. An ordinary Elder examining him was manageable. Even High Elder Shatter Peak probably would not discover much because of the Abyssal Horizon Veil Seal.

But Peak Head Mountain Roar was a Transcendent Immortal. More importantly, he was a Transcendent level body cultivator.

If there was anyone in the Heavenly Stream Guardian Sect capable of noticing something strange about Lin Mu’s physical body, the old man before him was probably among the most likely.

’Senior.’ Lin Mu called out internally.

’I know.’ Xukong replied immediately. ’Stay calm.’

Lin Mu kept Little Bull’s simple expression.

”Okay.” He stepped forward.

Peak Head Mountain Roar placed his massive hand upon Little Bull’s shoulder. The old man’s fingers were thick enough that they almost wrapped around half of Lin Mu’s upper body. For a second, nothing happened.

Then Lin Mu felt it, a tiny pulse of vitality entered his body. It was incredibly gentle which made Lin Mu feel surprised, He had expected something forceful considering the Wild Peak’s methods.

Instead, Peak Head Mountain Roar’s control was exquisite.

The thread of vitality moved into Lin Mu’s shoulder, passed through the muscles, and then the bones. Lin Mu immediately activated the Absolute Body Control Art and his body adjusted.

The Abyssal Horizon Veil Seal remained active while Peak Head Mountain Roar’s vitality moved deeper.

The old man’s smile slowly disappeared, which High Elder Shatter Peak noticed immediately. High Elder Palm Saber noticed it a moment later as well. The two High Elders stopped speaking while Peak Head Mountain Roar’s eyes narrowed.

His vitality moved again, this time, slightly stronger.

Lin Mu remained still as the old man’s hand tightened around his shoulder. A strange expression appeared upon his face. Confusion, then curiosity and then something that looked suspiciously like excitement.

High Elder Shatter Peak leaned forward. ”Peak Head?”

Peak Head Mountain Roar did not answer and he continued examining Little Bull as several seconds passed.

Then the old man’s eyes widened.

His hand suddenly moved from Little Bull’s shoulder toward his arm. He squeezed and Lin Mu felt the pressure. It was considerable. A few seconds later Peak Head Mountain Roar squeezed harder.

Little Bull looked at him and the old man stared back.

”Does that hurt?” Peak Head Mountain Roar asked.

”No.”

The old man’s eyes brightened as he squeezed harder. ”Now?”

”No.”

More strength. ”Now?”

Little Bull thought. ”A little?”

Peak Head Mountain Roar’s smile slowly returned while High Elder Shatter Peak grinned and High Elder Palm Saber stood from his seat. The Peak Head released Little Bull’s arm. Then he suddenly laughed.

”HAHAHAHA!”

The entire hall shook as dust fell from the ceiling. Lin Mu looked upward when Peak Head Mountain Roar slammed his palm against the armrest of his throne.

CRACK!

The stone armrest shattered, but the old man ignored it.

”GOOD!” His laughter became even louder.

High Elder Shatter Peak joined him. ”I TOLD YOU!”

High Elder Palm Saber laughed as well.

Lin Mu stood between three enormous body cultivators while the entire hall trembled around him.

Little Bull scratched his head. ”Did I pass?”

The three men stopped while Peak Head Mountain Roar stared at him.

Then his laughter erupted once again.

”PASS?” The old man’s voice echoed across the Wild Peak. ”CHILD, YOU WERE BORN FOR THIS PLACE!”

High Elder Shatter Peak’s laughter continued for a while before he finally calmed down. The massive man looked at Little Bull with satisfaction, though his attention soon shifted toward Peak Head Mountain Roar.

There was a question that had been bothering him ever since Little Bull’s assessment, and it was also the biggest reason he had gone through so much effort over the past couple of days.

”Peak Head.” High Elder Shatter Peak spoke. ”Did you figure it out?”

Peak Head Mountain Roar glanced at him. ”Figure out what?”

”His physique!” High Elder Shatter Peak exclaimed. ”What else would I be asking about?”

High Elder Palm Saber also leaned forward upon hearing the question. His expression became serious as he looked toward Peak Head Mountain Roar, clearly interested in the answer too.

This had been one of the greatest mysteries surrounding Little Bull since his arrival at the sect.
