Walker Of The Worlds

Chapter 3754: Flaming Arsenal Fire Immortal Tribulation

Ashy’s eyes slowly opened as dark shadows flickered within them.

The little bird looked around in confusion at first.

Then realization came.

The heavens above.

The pressure.

The tribulation.

Ashy stood up.

Her feathers rustled.

She looked toward Lin Mu.

The man smiled.

”You finally woke up.”

Ashy chirped softly.

It had been a very long time.

The twins finally arrived.

They emerged from the darkness and immediately coiled nearby.

Little Shrubby sat beside Lin Mu in cat form.

Everyone had gathered.

The heavens continued changing as the crimson clouds churned and Lin Mu observed carefully. He hoped this would be ordinary. Fire tribulations alone were already dangerous. Variants could become nightmares.

Especially for beasts that were not immortal yet.

Then...

The clouds moved and a vortex formed. Heat exploded outward and the first bolt descended.

Except... It was not lightning.

Lin Mu’s eyes widened.

A spear.

A gigantic spear of fire fell from the heavens!

BOOM!

It tore through the sky like a meteor.

The earth split from the pressure before it even landed.

Ashy reacted instantly.

Shadow spread beneath her.

The little bird disappeared.

The flaming spear crashed into empty ground.

BOOM!

The world shook.

Molten stone erupted.

A crater hundreds of meters wide appeared instantly.

Lin Mu stared.

”A Flaming weapon tribulation?” he muttered wondering if it was right though it looked a bit different.

The crimson heavens churned again.

More shapes formed.

Sword.

Hammer.

Arrow.

Halberd.

Countless silhouettes emerged inside the clouds.

Lin Mu’s expression slowly turned strange.

He had seen elemental tribulations.

He had seen heavenly tribulations.

Even variants.

But this...

This looked like a heavenly armory.

The heat rose further.

The clouds roared.

Ashy spread her wings.

Shadow Dao surged around her body.

Golden flames mixed within the darkness.

She looked toward the heavens.

Then let out her first cry after years of sleep.

CHIRP!

The sound echoed across the plains.

And the second weapon descended.

The heavens had turned into a battlefield.

Weapon after weapon descended from the scarlet clouds.

Spears.

Swords.

Halberds.

Axes.

Arrows.

Some were slender and elegant while others were broad and crude. A few looked ancient and worn while others appeared newly forged. Every single one burned with flames so intense that the ground below had already turned molten.

The plains that had once been rocky were now littered with craters.

Entire sections glowed red.

The air itself trembled.

Ashy moved through it all.

She had barely woken from years of cultivation and already stood against heaven itself.

Lin Mu watched carefully.

At the same time Xukong observed from the ring.

The old spider had awakened his attention fully after seeing the tribulation.

”This should be a Flaming Arsenal Fire Immortal Tribulation.” Xukong spoke.

Lin Mu raised a brow.

”A variant?”

”It is.” Xukong replied calmly. ”Though among the variants it is one of the weaker ones.”

Lin Mu still frowned.

Even weaker variants were still variants. Tribulations never became simple merely because they ranked lower. Xukong however remained unconcerned.

”She will be fine.”

Lin Mu looked toward Ashy.

Xukong continued.

”Her Shadow Dao has improved a great deal.”

Only then did Lin Mu truly begin observing. Ashy was moving beautifully. Every weapon descended with enough force to split hills. Yet she flowed between them effortlessly.

A flaming spear fell.

Ashy vanished.

Her body dissolved into shadow and sank into the darkness cast by the burning crater below.

The spear struck empty earth.

Moments later she emerged elsewhere.

Then came blades.

Three at once.

Ashy split into several shadowy afterimages.

The weapons passed through illusions and exploded harmlessly.

An axe descended.

Shadow tendrils wrapped around Ashy and pulled her into darkness once more.

Lin Mu slowly relaxed.

Her control had indeed grown tremendously.

Time passed.

One hour.

Then another.

The heavens never rested. The scarlet clouds continuously produced weapons. The earth suffered endlessly. Yet Ashy endured while the twins watched silently. Little Shrubby sat beside Lin Mu with his tail curled around his paws.

Everyone knew.

This would not end until Ashy faced it directly.

Tribulations demanded resistance.

Dodging forever was impossible.

Eventually she would have to accept heaven’s challenge.

Three hours passed.

The heavens finally changed.

The clouds churned violently.

The countless weapons vanished.

Heat surged.

Then...

Something appeared.

Lin Mu’s eyes narrowed.

A sword.

It slowly emerged from the clouds, massive and terrifying. It was nearly two hundred meters long and its blade was made entirely of flames.

The heat from it distorted space.

Even from far away Lin Mu felt the pressure.

The ground below cracked before the sword had even fallen.

Ashy looked up.

The little bird finally understood.

This was the end.

Lin Mu immediately shouted.

”Ashy!”

”With all your strength!”

”Defend!”

”Do not dodge!”

Ashy turned.

Her eyes met his.

Then for the first time...

She spoke aloud.

”I will do it, Master!”

Her voice was soft.

Yet firm.

The next moment her Dao Embryo manifested.

A shadow emerged behind her.

A candle.

Dark.

Flameless.

Ancient.

The Wickless Candle Shadow Dao Embryo appeared!

Its Dao Shell surrounded it like a translucent veil.

Ashy cried out sharply, then she flew upward, straight toward the heavens. The giant sword descended and the world seemed to freeze. At that moment, shadow erupted from Ashy’s body.

Her tiny form expanded.

From a palm sized bird she transformed into something vast.

A colossal bird of shadows appeared.

Tens of meters tall.

Its body looked like living darkness.

Wings spread across the sky.

Shadow Spirit Qi surged around it in thick layers.

The burning sword struck.

BOOM!

The impact shook everything.

Lin Mu had to stabilize himself.

Flames and shadows exploded across the sky as the giant shadow bird pushed upward while the sword pushed downward.

The clash continued as minute after minute passed.

Ashy’s larger form slowly shrank.

The shadows around her weakened.

But the sword weakened too.

Its size reduced.

Its flames dimmed.

The battle became one of endurance.

Ten minutes later, the giant sword had become a dagger now while Ashy’s shadow form had almost vanished. She was barely twice her original size now.

Her body trembled and her Qi fluctuated violently, yet her eyes remained bright.
