Chapter 2904: Sparring With The Heavy Monks

”You can all use the Gravity Dao as well?” Lin Mu was surprised.

”Of course! How else do you think we endured all this time?” The monk stated as a matter of fact.

However, Lin Mu was no slouch. With the strength of both his body techniques, he was able to counter each of Shianʼs attacks with a fluid grace that surprised the monk. The pressure from the gravity and Shianʼs overwhelming force was no match for Lin Muʼs own formidable foundation.

”Impressive,” Shian said, his eyes widening as Lin Mu effortlessly deflected his attacks. ”You truly are no ordinary cultivator.”

The match continued, with Shian intensifying his attacks, but Lin Mu dodged, parried, and countered with the precision of a seasoned fighter. Finally, in one swift movement, Lin Mu activated the full power of the Tyrant Bull Marrow Secrets, his body swelling, turning him into a small giant.

With his great power he easily disarmed Shian and knocked him gently to the ground, not with force, but by using Shianʼs momentum against him. he didnʼt even need to use any of the Tyrant Bull Marrow Secretʼs skills either.

The monks, watching from the sidelines, were left speechless. They had assumed that Lin Muʼs cultivation might be focused solely on mental prowess and internal power, but his body cultivation was just as potent. His control over both techniques was evident in every movement.

And the way his body swelled and his muscles pulsed was strangely mesmerizing to them.

Lin Mu extended a hand to help Shian up, smiling softly.

”Your strength is impressive. But it seems gravity isnʼt the only thing that can be used to temper the body.”

Shian, still panting slightly, accepted Lin Muʼs help with a respectful nod.

”We are fortunate to have met you, Lin Mu. The Great Burden Sutra is one of the finest methods of body cultivation in the Buddhist worlds, but it seems I still have much to learn.”

The abbot, who had watched with great interest, stepped forward.

”Lin Mu, youʼve shown us the true strength of a body cultivator. The weight you bear, both in body and spirit, is unparalleled. You are more than worthy of our respect.”

Lin Mu smiled, but the compliment did not go to his head. He bowed slightly.

”Iʼve learned much from you all as well. Gravity may be a harsh teacher, but the lessons it provides are invaluable.”

The sparring match continued, with a few other monks eager to test their mettle against Lin Mu. Each monk fought with the might of a boulder, but Lin Muʼs fluidity and control over his two techniques ensured that he easily withstood the barrage of blows. The monks were surprised at how effortlessly he adapted to their intense styles.

By the end of the day, the courtyard was filled with laughter and mutual admiration. Lin Mu had not only earned the respect of the monks but had also gained valuable insights into their body cultivation methods.

The exchange had strengthened the bond between him and the monastery, and more importantly, it had given Lin Mu a deeper understanding of how gravity could be used to shape not just the body, but the mind.

Afterward, Lin Mu spent more days in the monastery exchanging more techniques and knowledge, solidifying his bond with the monks. It was clear that his time there had brought both himself and the monastery closer to healing—not just physically, but in spirit.

With a newfound respect for the monksʼ strength and techniques, Lin Mu was ready to deepen his connection, hoping to find more ways of growing strong.

In the quiet solitude of the Great Burden Monastery, where silence was only broken by the rumbling pulse of gravity, Lin Mu sat cross-legged atop a stone platform layered with formation markings. The pull of weight pressed heavily on his limbs, making even breathing a conscious effort. Yet, within this strain, he found peace—he found potential.

Ever since sealing the rift of gravity beneath the temple, Lin Mu had begun to feel a curious fascination for the very force he had fought to contain. Gravity, unlike other Daos, was raw and absolute.

It shaped the cosmos, bent space, crushed matter, and governed celestial bodies. To Lin Mu, a body cultivator who tempered his flesh through force, it seemed the perfect element—unyielding, patient, and immensely powerful.

The Abbot, sensing Lin Muʼs intrigue, had gently encouraged him to go deeper.

”Your True Earth Dao Embryo, especially the Aspect of Heaviness, aligns well with the Gravity Dao,” the Abbot had said, watching him during meditation. ”What you carry within you is not so far from gravity itself. If you truly wish it, you may be able to grasp the edge of this elusive Dao.”

That suggestion had ignited a spark in Lin Mu. Though he had not originally intended to pursue another path—already juggling multiple cultivation techniques and Daos —the synergy between his Earth Dao and gravity was too tempting to ignore.

Even within a few weeks of cultivating under increased pressure, he noticed something remarkable: his body cultivation was progressing subtly but steadily faster.

The Three Apertures Invoking Technique responded keenly to pressure on his organs, sharpening his internal flow of Immortal Essence, while the Tyrant Bull Marrow Secrets greedily devoured the external strain, forging his flesh tighter with every moment under duress. The subtle but undeniable growth affirmed his decision.

He had begun meditating daily near the gravity well of the monastery—areas where the pressure of the newly formed gravity heart was prominent. Lin Mu didnʼt just feel the gravity on his body though, he also felt its effects on the very space itself hoping to gain more insights between these two basic forces of the cosmos.

With his spatial perception, he charted the distortions in real time, letting the weight influence not just his body, but also his mind and spirit. He was nowhere close to forming a Dao Embryo of Gravity, but the seeds were being sown.
