Chapter 2390  Running Out Of Vitality

Lin Mu had been pumping blood into Lady Kangʼs body for about an hour now and there had been very slight progress.

”Her hand! The black color has shifted!” Min Ju almost jumped seeing that.

”Itʼs working!” Crown Princess Shang said.

Elder Hu was pleased too but didnʼt get too excited knowing that it was still too early.

~GULP~

Lin Mu ate more pills in front of them and continued to pump more blood. If it were any of them, they would have long since passed out from the blood loss as even Qi cultivators couldnʼt produce that much blood in a short time with the support of the pills.

”Daoist Lin Muʼs body cultivation truly is robust to handle so much.” Qiao De couldnʼt help but say.

Lin Mu didnʼt hear any of the praises though, as he was fully focused on Lady Kang and had his eyes closed.

Instead, he was trying to sense her condition with his immortal sense, now that the curse had seemingly retreated a bit.

ʼThis…ʼ Upon doing so through, Lin Mu ʼsawʼ something.

Inside Lady Kangʼs vessels, he could see what could only be described as a wall of tar.

It had seemingly clogged her entire body and it was a mystery as to how she was even alive. ʼThis should be deeper than that. What Iʼm seeing is only the surface.ʼ Lin Mu knew that it wasnʼt as simple as just being blocked. ʼHer Dantian is also getting affected.ʼ But he had no way to check it.

He could only compare to his own experience of getting attacked by the Nascent Soul of the Yin Nascent Soul Maggot before. He reckoned it was similar to that, but a lot more dangerous.

”Iʼll just have to increase the speed or clearing the ʼtarʼ.” Lin Mu muttered to himself as he controlled his heart to beat faster, letting more blood be pumped into Lady Kangʼs vessels.

~SHUA~

Inside, Lin Muʼs blood seemingly collided with the wall of ʼtarʼ melting away a part of it as if it were mud. But this process also caused the blood to boil and ʼwitherʼ away, showing the power of the curse. This allowed Lin Mu to notice that the rate of clearing depended on how much vitality was in the blood.

ʼIt isnʼt just quantity that I need, I need more quality!ʼ Lin Mu realized. ʼIf so… I can do it.ʼ He thought before willing his stomach to release all that it had stored.

~HUALA~

In the next second, it was as if a wave of pure vitality overflowed from Lin Mu, as his stomach started to release the stored vitality from who knows how many beasts and other food.

”Merge!” Lin Mu controlled the vitality to directly mix into his blood, turning it highly potent!

~WHOOSH~

The resultant blood was like hot acid, as it fumed and boiled on its own. If blood like this was given to any mortal, they might just explode on the spot. But for any spirit beast or cultivator, Lin Muʼs blood may as well be a treasured medicine!

~HISS~

But the effect of it on the curse was profound, as it started to be cleared out faster than before.

Now three of Lady Kangʼs fingers had been returned to normal!

”HAHA! Itʼs working! Heʼs doing it!” Daoist Chu cheered.

~GULP~

Lin Mu eat another mouthful of pills as he controlled his stomach to infuse the vitality into newly produced blood. His marrows were also seething, as they worked harder to produce blood.

His previous body cultivation techniques and his Five Treasured organs were all working hard to support him, as they amplified the process overall. Even the tiny cores within his body were supporting him, even though their true effects had not yet been activated.

Lin Mu kept this up for about two hours, while his stored vitality kept on getting consumed. In this time, Lin Mu had managed to clear out Lady Kangʼs entire left hand, as well as a part of her shoulder.

ʼI can see better now!ʼ Lin Muʼs immortal sense proceeded deeper and traveled through the vessels.

Another hour later, Lin Mu had guided his blood to the right shoulder and down the right hand, clearing both of them out. With this, he had established a ʼbaseʼ in the upper part of Lady Kangʼs body. From here on, Lin Mu had two avenues to target.

ʼI canʼt go to her head right away, as it is too sensitive. The blockage there is also the harshest.ʼ He understood that going in without the other parts cleared might make it dangerous, as the curse could very well decide to kill her right away.

He already knew the curse was sentient, and it was best to weaken it first and leave it helpless.

But as time passed, Lin Muʼs stored vitality was starting to run out.

It had now been ten hours, and Lin Mu had used up over ninety percent of his stored vitality!

This was an immense amount as normally it could have lasted him years if not decades!

Lin Mu was also looking rather tired now, and the unease on his face could be seen.

ʼI need more… Need more vitality,ʼ Lin Mu said to himself. ʼBut my stomach doesnʼt have much left.ʼ All the food he had consumed before had almost been used up and even if he wished to eat the beast corpses he had stored as reserve, it wonʼt be enough.

Lin Mu was struck in a dilemma that he couldnʼt even share with others as they wouldnʼt be able to help him either. Minute after minute passed like this as he neared the point where he had to make a decision.

ʼSomething that is rich in vitality that I can use…ʼ Lin Mu continued to think about it before an answer presented to him. ”That… might just work.” He said, making others confused as he took out a box.

~CLACK~

Inside the box rested an irregular shaped red crystal; The Sky Swallowing Wolf Bloodline Essence Crystal!
