Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1371: Aetheria Empire Part 18

Because both parties required each other, Xu Feng was daring enough to request 30% of the overall profit.

Otherwise, the usual market was taking 10-15% at best when someone came to them to auction their items.

Evelyn also knew they were the optimal choice, but didn’t expect to be exploited this much.

’He really isn’t polite at all.’ She thought to herself.

”Isn’t 30% cut a bit too much?” Evelyn pursed her lips and asked.

”Not at all.” Xu Feng shook his head and explained with a straight face. ”If it were any other people, then I would have taken at least 45%.”

”4-45%??!” She staggered backward and held a look of disbelief.

Seriously... the rumors really weren’t wrong.

If you’re poor, then Xu Feng was a blessing to you.

But if you’re rich, then Xu Feng was the top-tier devil to you!

She was always curious about how and where these rumors spread around. And now the answer has been answered at last.

It was actually true!

”Yes, you heard me correctly.” Xu Feng nodded and reassured that his price was already a friendly price.

”You should know Auction Markets are temporarily restricted and require authorization from relevant parties to be approved.”

With the looming war, who in their right mind would think opening an auction would be a good idea?

Not to mention that traveling had been insanely inconvenient, but many were starting to hoard their offensive and defensive tools to protect themselves.

Needless to say, that didn’t mean the demand for them had decreased.

Instead, it had increased significantly with the lack of supply, reassuring everyone scattered across the Divine World.

Evelyn also understood these principles and knew he definitely had the channel to open an Auction Market. It just so happened that the Malefic Order Guild was lacking a lot of coins to sustain itself.

This kind of crisis was something players could never have imagined. Everyone thought this was another classic MMO where players simply needed to grind levels and gear to be at the top.

But the reality was a far cry. To seriously immerse players into being a part of the Divine World, they were involved in many other aspects.

It was seriously like they were living in a parallel world, with the Divine World being their second home.

And now they were all suffering alongside the NPCs who got harmed by the Colossuses’ major invasion.

Even the economy was showing fractures, and costs continued to rise amidst the struggle.

At this juncture, many small guilds had either disbanded or merged with bigger ones to sustain themselves. Those who were unlucky ended up being lone adventurers because not even the Adventure Teams were willing to accept them.

”If you take that much, then can we even profit off it?” Evelyn inquired. Players were extremely stingy now, so the auction bid price might not even be high.

”I’m afraid you’re mistaken about something, Miss Evelyn.” Xu Feng softly said.

”My auction won’t just be open to players, but to the NPCs as well. Players might lack coins, but the high nobles never lacked them.” He continued, explaining who the current wealthy owners were.

Who said players were the only ones with wealth?

It was always like this; players neglecting that NPCs were the real wealthy individuals.

And sure enough, Evelyn was one of these players who neglected the impact of NPCs.

Her steps staggered, and her body jolted slightly after being enlightened by Xu Feng’s words.

’Right... why didn’t we think about earning from the NPCs?’ She wondered silently. Usually, players only earn a small amount from NPCs through quest completion. But not many of them thought about earning a big fortune from NPCs through other channels or methods.

Their minds were so fixated and prejudiced toward the usual MMOs.

While Evelyn was enlightened, Xu Feng didn’t pause and continued his explanation.

”This class change quest would be helpful to NPCs, especially those who are rich but have no mana.” His tone turned shrewder by the seconds.

Those with no mana would be granted a chance to enable themselves to step into the world of mana.

Why wouldn’t they use everything they have to purchase such an item?

Evelyn’s eyes sparkled in greed when she could easily imagine how those wealthy nobles would fight over her class change.

There was even a glimpse of the moment when she wanted to sell the item herself personally.

However, it was only for a brief second. She knew very well that trying to open an Auction Market at this time required a lot of reputation and honor.

Although their Malefic Order Guild was also praised by the military and received the tokens, they didn’t belong in this plane, so they had no noble status.

Moreover, they couldn’t find any reputable NPCs to vouch for them either.

Of course, they could also try to return to their original plane and attempt to sell it.

But the chances of succeeding were substantially low.

No other super guilds within their planes would be willing to let them soar and toss them aside.

Vanguard Guild could do it because the collective bunch was afraid and frightened by the recent consequences.

So in a sense, his 30 percent cut came from his connection and channel to sell to the higher nobles for a greater profit.

”I see you’re thinking hard.” At this moment, Xu Feng suddenly chuckled and asked, ”Have you thought it through? If you refuse, then I won’t ask any further. It’s not like our Vanguard Guild lacks items to sell to the current terrified high nobles.”

A few seconds later, he prepared to walk ahead to the center region of the Aetheria Empire.

”Wait a second, Guild Leader Lin Feng.” Right when his foot was about to leave the vicinity, Evelyn raised her hand and called out to him.

She took a deep breath and flashed her firm eyes. ”The split percentage... I agree.”

’Heh, I just knew you were more desperate than me.’ Xu Feng sneered inwardly. How could he not know about their current economic crisis? If it weren’t for their unstable cash flow, then she wouldn’t have even requested to raid the Oracle Grotto at this juncture.
