Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 87: Storage Room

Thanks to Xu Fengʼs impressing and pleasing Fiona, she decided to be a bit generous and allowed them to have a method to return to the village.

Though, the main reason was most likely that she needed them to return in the first place to deliver the monster parts.

And it was right at this moment, a system prompt appeared for both Xu Feng and Zhao Kai.

Accept Mission? [Yes] / [No]

Zhao Kai glanced at Xu Feng for a split second and accepted ”Yes” only when he saw the latter nod his head.

”Alright, Iʼve said my piece, now hurry up and choose the equipment to assist you. Donʼt make me wait too long.” Fiona said in a somewhat annoying manner, having wasted enough time chattering with them.

Her mannerisms didnʼt surprise Xu Feng as that was how most blacksmiths were. They only have eyes in their craft and nothing else.

”Go to the storage room first, Shadow Blade.” Xu Feng instructed while he walked toward the table where a single medal was placed.

Picking up the medal and inspecting it carefully, Xu Feng was glad his effort hadnʼt gone to waste.

The medal was crafted from ironwood, featuring an engraved hammer and anvil design surrounded by etchings of flames and sparks.

To make it even more intricate, it was embedded with Pyrite Drake scales and inscribed with Fionaʼs signature on the back.

Such intricate design was made to prevent anyone from creating a fake medal when registering.

ʼWithout this medal, Iʼm afraid we wonʼt even be able to step foot here again until they are opened to the public.ʼ Xu Feng thought to himself.

After all, there was a teleportation platform within the Willowbrook Village, but it was off-limits to outsiders.

This meant that Xu Feng and Zhao Kai would no longer be able to return unless they encountered someone like Uncle Gorrick again to offer them a medium to teleport here.

However, that problem was now resolved with Fiona lending the medal to them for registration.

ʼThis Kai nearly ruined everything with his outburst.ʼ He sighed inwardly.

Had he failed to react in time and smacked Zhao Kai on the back of his head, Fiona might have retracted her mission from being displeased and angered.

Sometime later, Xu Feng quietly walked toward the storage room without disturbing Fiona, who was currently engrossed in her forging, hammering with intensity.

Upon arriving at the storage room, Xu Feng glanced at the interior.

The storage room was dimly lit, with rows of sturdy wooden shelves lining the walls, filled with various tools and materials.

Metal ingots, leather straps, and wooden handles were neatly organized in labeled crates.

As he continued looking at the storage room, from afar, Xu Feng was able to hear the excited voice of Zhao Kai.

”Oh, this is good!”

”No, this is even better than the previous!!”

ʼThis Kai is really too carefree.ʼ Xu Feng shook his head and stepped forward, meeting with Zhao Kai, who was engrossed with the weapons.

He was holding different types of guns in excitement, almost like he couldnʼt bear to part with them.

What surprised him further was that Zhao Kai already changed into a new armor.

”Were you lying about your level earlier?” Xu Feng twitched his mouth when he inspected the armor more intensively.

Zhao Kai smiled sheepishly as he took off the armor and allowed Xu Feng to look at the stats, saving him quite the effort in explaining.

Handing the armor back to Zhao Kai, Xu Feng questioned, ”How did you level up to 5 all of a sudden?”

”About that, I received the mission quest completion when I handed the letter to Blacksmith Fiona.” Zhao Kai wore the armor and said, finding the situation a surprise as well.

After all, they were supposed to wait for Thorin to return, but somehow the mission quest was listed as completed.

”Thatʼs indeed weird.” Xu Feng knitted his brows, seemingly confused by the circumstances as well.

”Well, letʼs stop thinking about something in the future and pick our equipment.” Zhao Kai suddenly said and retrieved a few staff.

”I spotted these staff from earlier and thought you might like it.” He added.

”Thanks, but no need.” Xu Feng shook his head, rejecting the staff. They werenʼt bad, but his standards were too high for these staff to enter his eyes.

Not to mention, even if he grabbed them, he still couldnʼt equip them. Most of the equipment here required the players to be level 5 or above. Hence, it was pointless for him to even look at them.

What was the point of holding onto something that one could not use?

For money?

As if he would be retarded enough to sell weapons and allowed others to get a massive advantage for a pitiful amount of money.

Although he could manipulate the market and earn a huge profit in return, the cons overshadowed the pros. Unlike the consumable potions, the weapons or armor could be recycled among them and be permanently used.

ʼIʼll think about this market when things are more certain.ʼ Xu Feng thought to himself, unwilling to dabble into this risk at the moment.
