The 99th Divorce

Rong Rui then released her, gazing at her blushed face and straightening out his shirt. He turned around and picked up a paper bag in his luggage and threw it to her before he sat down on the sofa.

Cheng You took it and was a bit dumbstruck.

”Didn’t you say you are going to the birthday party? Put it on.”

”What is this?” she asked, but quickly realized that this guy... bought her clothes again? Taking it out, she found that it was a blue dress, a bit thick, and the style was very special. Inadvertently, she glanced at the price tag, 8888… After a moment of silence, she stuffed the dress back in and give it back to him. ”What do you mean by this? Want to conquer me with money?”

”No.” He put a cigarette between his lips. Without lighting it, he looked at her face seriously. ”I want to conquer you, not with money, but with myself.” He found the lighter and lit the cigarette. ”Cheng You, this is my first time pursuing a girl.”

Her heart couldn’t help but throb, like an ocean in a tornado with turbulent waves rolling. However, she quickly sneered, ”do you think I will believe you? If you say that, what was Tang Mengying then?”

”I have never pursued her.” Rong Rui looked at her with his pair of amber eyes. ”I have known Tang Mengying for ten years, but she never even looked at me. All she could think about was Li Sicheng, so I have never tried it.”

”Because you know that it was impossible to succeed. And do you think that my type is easier?” She looked at him, perplexed. ”Rong Rui, I really suspect that you are sick. The psychiatrist who I introduced to Tang Mengying was not bad. Shall I refer you?”

”No, I never thought that you would be easy. Your type is too proud. To win you over, I must be better that you.” He inhaled and blew out some smoke slowly. ”Unfortunately, I am just a little better than you. Since you don’t hate me, why don’t you try it?”

”Who said that I don’t hate you? I hate your guts!”

”If you hate me, you wouldn’t have slept with me.” Rong Rui stood up and looked at her. ”Cheng You, you do have feelings for me. Isn’t that right?”

”Sorry, I am not interested in a man who thinks about a different woman.”

”You are all I think about right now.”

”What about Tang Mengying? You dare say you don’t love her?”

”No.” Rong Rui did not hesitate. ”The former Rong Rui has been killed by her. And this new one is saved by you.”

Cheng You’s heartbeat was so fast that it was abnormal. Looking at his affectionate eyes, she could not say a word of rejection. She did not seem to hate him so much.

But…

”Do you love me, then?”

Rong Rui was a bit stunned.

Her eyes dimmed, and there was an indescribable sense of loss in her heart.

”Cheng You...”

”Don’t say it. Let’s go. I will return the money to you.” She went to the edge of the sofa and picked up her cell phone that had just been put down by Rong Rui. She said, ”I must have been confused that day. Please forget it. Anyway, it’s not you who suffered any loss. If I knew I would be stalked by you because of the one night stand, I should not have used you for sex. Not a single day passed without me regretting it, Rong Rui.”
