Hogwarts: Even Voldemort Can't Stop Me From Studying

Chapter 981: Chapter 74: Bathed in Sunlight

In the gradually dimming vision of Sirius, it seemed as if a miniature sun had been summoned from nothingness, directly descending into the cabin, ten thousand meters high in the sky!

Boom!

An intense and frenzied pure white light suddenly erupted, sweeping through every corner like an invisible tsunami!

The scorching white light was majestic, carrying an unquestionable force to purify everything, illuminating the entire cabin with absolute clarity and leaving no shadows unexposed.

Terrified passengers screamed in unison and covered their eyes.

Their eyes, accustomed to the dim light inside the cabin, were all pierced by the overpowering strong light, forcing them to shield with their arms, pausing the chaos and screams.

The assassin standing on the seats, who originally had a confident smile, let out a pained groan and instinctively shut his eyes.

As his movements grew sluggish, some passengers remained seemingly unaffected.

While seated, they appeared no different from ordinary passengers. But now, under the strong light, their eyes didn’t even blink, and they sprang into action!

Someone grabbed the crowd huddled together with one hand and tossed them one by one into empty seats;

Someone took a piece of clothing and blocked the thick smoke spewing from the vent;

And someone else directly ran stepping over seat backs, effortlessly sprinting over everyone’s heads and reaching the floor where smoke was seeping.

Thomas O’Brien looked in shock at the figure running against the crowd. He saw the person half-kneel on the ground, pressing one hand on the surface, causing a sharp ”buzz buzz buzz” sound between the palm and the floor.

—What is this? Does this guy have a drill in his palm?

Thomas O’Brien widened his eyes in astonishment, feeling as if he no longer understood the world.

On the other side of the cabin, a young man in a hoodie propped himself up on a seat armrest, sprang from his seat, and stretched in midair. His precise and powerful flying kick fiercely struck the assassin’s abdomen!

”Crack!”

Accompanied by the sound of breaking bones, the assassin holding the Crossbow Arrow was sent flying!

Almost simultaneously, two other expressionless middle-aged passengers sprang into action!

One extended his arm smoothly intercepting the flung assassin, then forcefully throttled him, causing his eyes to bulge and making him unable to breathe with a wide-open mouth.

The other flipped over two rows of seats, using his body weight to suppress the assassin’s struggle. With a grasp, he dislocated the man’s arms, making the Crossbow clatter to the ground.

Everything happened swiftly; the assassin only managed a brief muffled groan before losing consciousness under the cold, efficient combined attack of the three.

The hooded youth supported himself on the chair back, glancing rearward. Seeing the person choking had not yet released, he reminded:

”Don’t kill him; a live person is more useful than a dead one.”

The middle-aged man gave him a glance before letting go.

They no longer exchanged words or even a single glance, swiftly returning to their seats.

The hooded youth reached out, pulled the assassin back to his seat, arm around his shoulder like an old buddy, then took a syringe from his pocket and injected all the transparent liquid into the assassin.

The assassin, previously in pain even in his unconscious state, finally relaxed into a deep sleep.

All this occurred within half a minute while the cabin was bathed in white light.

When the light faded, sharp screams abruptly stopped, and tumultuous shoving ceased.

The chaos, which spread like a plague among the passengers and was constantly amplified by fear, melted away rapidly, like snow under direct sunlight.

—The Sunlight Charm, though intense, only had devastating effect on Dark Creatures, and to ordinary people, it was as gentle as a summer breeze.

The passengers’ minds, seized by fear, regained calm and the ability to think sharply, looking around with a post-disaster fear and acutely feeling the pain from the crowd crush.

In their vision remained the afterimage of an abruptly descending sun.

For those frightened passengers, whose spirits were near breaking, those brief yet profoundly impactful thirty seconds left an indelible mark.

Some devout believers, disregarding their bleeding wounds, knelt tearfully on the ground, continuously crossing themselves over the chest, murmuring:

”An Angel... It must be the Lord’s messenger descending... He saw our suffering, and He came to save us...”

Even those who hadn’t hesitated to step over others now fell to their knees as if awakened from a dream, confessing:

”Please forgive me, Lord... I have sinned... I was beguiled by the Devil...”

Black smoke within the cabin continued to grow thicker and more suffocating,

The cabin seemed to instantly recover its order from sheer chaos, Wizards gasping heavily, chests heaving violently, hopelessly watching the scene.

Michael finally managed to join his mother in pulling their bruised father up from the floor, as Mr. Kona and Madam Kona hugged each other, shaken.

Although Michael saw Vid, he didn’t have time to greet him; instead, he leapt onto a seat, scanning those remaining in their seats with great speed.

Fear, calm, confusion, daze, shock, harshness...

”Get him!” Michael suddenly pointed at the bald man by the window, his voice exceptionally loud and sharp: ”He’s an accomplice!”

The bald man raised his head, looking surprised and bewildered, seemingly unaware of the accusation.

Yet Vid wasted no time, flicking his Magic Wand, sending a red beam toward the bald man.

Adebayor quickly grabbed a nearby passenger to shield himself. Hit in the chest by the red light, the passenger instantly fainted.

With the innocent passenger collapsing slowly, Adebayor had already pressed a disc-like device against the adjacent window. Upon activation, a faint red glow emanated from the disk.

Adebayor sneered: ”Originally wanted to see you Wizards struggle in vain, but now, why don’t you all just die?!”

”Bang!”

The magic applied to the disk unleashed, shattering the solid window along with the surrounding cabin wall, revealing a massive breach wide enough for two people!

A violent pressure drop occurred instantly!

Adebayor, nearest to the breach, was immediately sucked out due to the huge pressure difference, along with the blanket covering him. That gray blanket unfolded in the air, turning into a Flying Carpet!

Adebayor held tightly onto the Flying Carpet, flipping to a half-kneel on it, watching as the plane swiftly distanced itself while various small items wildly poured out from the breach, unable to restrain his triumphant laughter!

”Hahaha...”

Standing on the Flying Carpet, arms spread, he shouted loudly: ”For a pure world! Die, Wizards! Disappear, Magic!”

”Oh, and Modis...”

Adebayor’s grin grew brighter, gesturing apologetically through the air, saying:

”Sorry, buddy... Thanks for your contribution to the cleansing cause.”

”But...”

”You happen to be a Wizard too? Hahaha...”

Before the laughter could subside, Adebayor’s expression suddenly changed!

—Two figures had just ridden Brooms, flying out one after another from the breach, heading straight for him!
