Hogwarts: Even Voldemort Can't Stop Me From Studying

Chapter 728: Chapter 119: The First to Clear the Trial

The image in the Flow Mirror is divided into three parts: one with the champion trying to lure away the Fire Dragon using the Transfiguration Spell, another with Krum being intercepted, and Vid sitting alone in the Chamber of Secret occupies half of the screen.

Ms. Fujiwara from the Magic Institute had no interest in discussing Karkaroff’s student’s skirmish. Her gaze lingered on Vid, and she closed her paper fan with a ”snap.”

”What a beautiful strategy...”

She gave Dumbledore a meaningful look and said, ”That child’s Lumos Spell, at first glance, I thought it was the Sunlight Charm!”

”The Sunlight Charm is originally the transformation of the Lumos Spell; similarity is normal.”

Antoine, propping his chin, smiled at Vid in the Flow Mirror and said, ”But to use an ordinary Lighting Spell to such degree is truly rare!”

”Indeed, all the spells he uses are common Magic Spells, but his level is astonishing. I originally thought his Iron Armor Spell was outstanding!”

Adesso, the headmaster of Uagadou, showed a teasing smile on his face: ”After the competition, I want to send him a thank-you letter— that little girl finally knows what it means that there’s always someone better!”

Fortunately, Amina was still unconscious. If she knew what her headmaster was saying, she might cry out of anger.

Adesso’s gaze swept past Vid in the Flow Mirror, and he looked at another person.

Among the champions confronting Krum, there was a student who was particularly tall, almost twice the size of Harry Potter next to him.

That was his student Babua, with a burly physique like a Polar Bear, looking full of strength, but his character was gentle and stable, filled with protective awareness for his partners.

Just like his transformed animal.

Uagadou excels at Self-Transfiguration Technique; senior students can freely transform into elephants, cheetahs, or sand mice and can cast spells with hand gestures without using a Magic Wand, famous throughout the Magic World.

However, Babua’s transformation form is an elephant, which had almost no use in the narrow passage, but only a few relatively spacious Chambers of Secret gave him room to play.

Adesso tapped his finger on his leg surface, feeling vaguely worried, but when he saw his other student Jabari, the anxiety in his gaze calmed down.

No matter what others said, Dumbledore always remained smiling, with bright shining eyes, saying:

”Ah... Vid indeed is good at delving into various spells; he would selflessly share his experiences with other students... Um, would you like a piece of chocolate? It’s my treasure.”

However, aside from Antoine and Agilbert who smiled and took a piece, others were too tense to have the mood to eat chocolate.

Karkaroff’s lips moved slightly, muttering silently: ”Old lunatic...”

But he dared not voice it.

He rolled his eyes, suddenly fixing his gaze on the corner of the Flow Mirror and shouted loudly: ”Dumbledore, what does your student intend to do?”

Everyone in the audience turned their eyes to the corner of the Flow Mirror, only to see the Insect Poppets at Vid Gray’s feet one by one, then swaggeringly leaving the Chamber of Secret.

The crowd suddenly had a bad premonition, especially seeing the Scorpion Puppet at the forefront, wishing they could shout to others in the Chamber:

”Quick! Forget others, quickly burn those things! Burn them!!”

However, whether shouted or not, the voice from the audience couldn’t be heard by the contestants.

At this moment, Karkaroff suddenly laughed joyously: ”Hahaha, Victor is out! I just knew he’d be the first! Wonderful, Victor!”

With a loud ”bang,” Krum’s figure abruptly appeared on the high platform.

Durmstrang students immediately erupted with thunderous roaring, pounding the railing with fists, shouting loudly: ”Victor Krum! Victor Krum!”

Then, applause surged like waves from all directions.

Michael smirked, saying to someone beside him: ”Krum isn’t really first! If Vid wanted, he could have taken first long ago!”

Daphne nodded in agreement, clapping her hands modestly.

On the high platform, Krum stumbled a step, instinctively raising his hand to block the suddenly intensified sunlight.

His black hair was messy, moss from the Chamber passage clung to his clothes, and a few drops of blood splattered on his cheek.

”Victor Krum! Victor Krum! Victor Krum...”

The cheering was deafening. Krum looked bewildered for a moment and then high raised his arm, and a Golden Egg gleamed brightly in his palm.

Bagman’s loud commentary echoed across the arena: ”What a brilliant retreat! Victor Krum successfully broke out, ultimately bringing back the first Golden Egg...”

With a ”bang,” suddenly another contestant appeared next to Krum, sitting on the ground, his face changed drastically upon seeing the surroundings, urgently shouting, ”Let me go back! I accidentally touched the Portkey! Quick, let me go back!”

After a brief silence, Bagman’s mocking voice continued: ”Oh, Mr. Pulia Patel seems not to have gotten the Golden Egg? Although it’s unfortunate, I must declare that he is also eliminated...”

...

”Ah!”

Harry screamed, his calf cut open with a bone-deep wound. But he didn’t stop to check, reacting swiftly to dive and roll to the wall corner, clutching his head as he rolled.

Growing up, chased by Dudley and his gang, though not a fond memory, it indeed granted Harry ample experience in protecting himself in chaos.

His fingers were scraped, yet he tightly gripped his Magic Wand, sharply twisting his upper body, waving the wand towards the chaos center, grimly chanting: ”Stupefy!”

Simultaneously hit by two Stunning Spells, Rahma directly fainted; under such conditions, even an Awakening Spell wouldn’t work, and this Akadim contestant would surely be eliminated.

Then Harry barely propped up and glanced around, noticing that the Mando Champion who initiated the chaos had fallen, touched the Golden Compass and was instantly sent away.

That guy... if remembered correctly, seemed called Pulia?

Victor also disappeared... leaving only him and Uagadou’s Babua onsite.

The two exchanged an eye, seeing in each other’s eyes the thought of a peaceful coexistence, simultaneously exhaling deeply.

”What’s that Mando guy after?” Babua gasped, saying: ”Had to cause trouble for Krum, ended up eliminating himself.”

”Who knows?” Harry clutched his wound, crawling up from the ground, concernedly asking: ”Are you alright?”

Babua glanced at Harry, seeing this Hogwarts contestant genuinely concerned for him, his gaze softened with a smile.

He also leaned against the wall, standing up, saying: ”Then...still go by the previous agreement, each taking a side?”

His voice was robust, producing a slight echo within the Chamber.

Before Krum appeared, the four reaching the Chamber had formed a fragile consensus, but when Krum walked out with the Golden Egg from the passage, Pulia suddenly began a commotion, unclear whether aiming to snatch Krum’s egg or prevent Krum from securing first.

He probably thought the nearby three were his temporary teammates, who would respond like him for victory, ensuring a four-to-one win in any situation.

Yet Pulia hadn’t anticipated that the other three might not entirely agree with him.

Especially Harry, who didn’t want to win but didn’t desire to snatch others’ arduously found Golden Egg—that wasn’t his desired victory method.

Harry shook his head, unwilling to recall the subsequent chaos, feeling only concern: ”If we run into others...”

”Loss is loss.” Babua laughed heartily, white teeth gleaming in the dark. He said: ”But I don’t fancy meeting you again for a fight when the Golden Egg appears.”

”Alright, good luck.”

Harry agreed, feeling this was better, nodding with a smile.

Babua casually chose a passage close to him, staggering along the wall and going inside. Harry took two minutes bandaging his leg wound before heading the opposite way.

Blood dripped onto the moss on the path, before long, a Scorpion Puppet shook its claws, pushed away the leaves overhead, crawling in Harry’s direction.

Behind it, seven or eight Poppets followed closely, some dropping pebbles while crawling.
