My Stepmom Is A Vampire & Her Entire Bloodline Wants To Breed Me

Chapter 188: The Worst Possible Team Ever

Seamus sighed for about hundreds of times as he was in the car to the Capital of Lilium, Nieve. He couldn’t believe there wasn’t any ’real adult’ in this car and worse, Dylan sat beside him and kept staring at him driving.

While in the back it was even worse with Diane and Maria bickering against each other. As even their greeting feels sarcastic.

”Hm, so you aren’t in an existential crisis anymore as you accept yourself as a vampire. I thought you would be forever inside your room.” Diane said.

He could see her looking at Maria who was in the middle of making a scarf with her knitting skills.

”Yeah, I just can’t stand being your kind but it’s not like I can help it.” Maria said bluntly and looked at her straight in the face, ”and my skill is useful, not like a particular someone.”

”What?!” Diane started to raise her voice and Seamus knew he needed to stop it.

”Guys, stop it, we are a team now, we need to be.” He took a deep breath before continuing, ”friendly.”

Dylan scoffed, ”Oh great, being friendly with my friend murdered, nice.”

Seamus rolled his head, ”What do you want me to say? Sorry?” He sighed, ”Sorry, Dylan, to make your assholes friends kill themselves. Here, I said it.”

”Fuck you, Seamus! I hope you go to fucking deep of hell!”

”Oh really? If I go to hell, you are all going with me. Cause honestly, Dylan, you are useless.”

Dylan eyes bloodshot as his hand was ready to punch Seamus in the face but he dodges fast which makes their car become unstable as it swings right and left.

The tires screeched hardly as scream came from behind.

”SEAMUS!”

The two women shouted as they were already pressed together to the left side and it was really close to the cliff as he stomped on the brake and the car stopped dramatically.

Seamus’ heart beat so fast so did the rest.

”See?” Seamus snapped, glaring at Dylan. ”This is exactly what happens when you keep dragging your personal shit into this!”

”So now it’s my fault?” Dylan shot back. ”Not the one who is clearly a murderer?”

That was enough.

Seamus grabbed Dylan by the front of his shirt and yanked him forward, fury flashing in his eyes.

”Have you ever killed scavengers or vampires? If you have, then you are a killer too. Both of us are!”

Dylan seized Seamus’s wrists hard. ”Don’t fuck with me! We are not the same!”

”Yeah,” Seamus snarled, ”I’m clearly better than you.”

Before it could explode further, Diane finally lost her patience.

”Enough!” she shouted. ”All of you, stop this stupid shit and focus on the road!”

”Shut up!” Dylan barked back. ”You were throwing shade at Maria over stupid things too!”

Before the bastard could continue, Seamus roared, ”Watch your mouth! Don’t you dare talk like that about my woman!”

”Hah!” Dylan laughed bitterly. ”One is a vampire, one is a murderer. You two really belong together. Same disgusting shit!”

That was the last straw.

Seamus punched him hard.

Blood spilled instantly as Dylan’s head snapped to the side, a tooth clattering against the car floor. Dylan’s eyes went red with rage as he lunged back, fists swinging wildly.

Seamus caught his wrist mid strike and twisted it brutally, just short of breaking bone.

Before either of them could finish it, Maria suddenly threw herself forward and slammed her hand onto the horn.

The sound was deafening and forced both of them to recoil, hands flying to their ears.

”STOP FIGHTING!” Maria screamed. ”AND LOOK AHEAD!”

Slowly, they did.

Nothing but white.

The snowstorm had arrived without warning, swallowing the road, the sky, everything.

”We need to stop,” Maria said, her voice steady despite the chaos. ”Find a temporary rest area and stay the night. Snowstorms in Lilium can last a full day.”

Seamus and Dylan exchanged one last burning glare before pulling themselves together, brushing off their clothes and turning their attention forward.

The anger was still there, raw and unresolved, but survival came first.

Fortunately, the storm had only just begun, and a rest area was nearby. They pulled in and headed into the restaurant without saying a word.

Maria immediately checked the weather forecast on her phone. Diane, strangely, looked amused, a faint smile tugging at her lips as if the chaos had improved her mood.

The boys sat across from each other.Dylan held a tissue to his bleeding mouth, a gap now visible where his tooth used to be. Seamus sipped hot coffee, his eyes never leaving Dylan’s.

”If you want to keep this up,” Maria said sharply, ”go fight in the middle of the snowstorm and settle whatever you have between you. For now, stop.”

She inhaled slowly, then exhaled. ”The storm will last at least six hours. I’ll book rooms. Two rooms. Which means you will have to share.”

”What?” Dylan protested. ”Bianca gave us plenty of money!”

”And if that’s not enough, I’ll use my own,” Seamus added flatly. ”There’s no way I’m sharing a room with him.”

”Hey, don’t steal my words!”

Seamus only clicked his tongue in response.

”You cannot keep going like this,” Maria said tiredly. ”It will mess up our mission. It might even get someone killed.”

”I can handle my shit,” Seamus replied, pointing at Dylan. ”That advice is for him.”

”This wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t kill my friends.”

Seamus scoffed. ”And it wouldn’t have happened if you weren’t a bullying jerk.”

”Do you think my friends deserved to die for that?”

”Oh, do you think I deserved to be bullied?”

Maria groaned loudly and grabbed Diane’s hand, dragging her away before she lost her temper completely.

”They’re not teenagers anymore,” she muttered. ”They should know better.”

Diane chuckled softly. ”Yeah, but I kind of like how Seamus defends me. ’My woman.’ Isn’t that sweet?”

Maria raised an eyebrow, realizing there was no saving this one either.

”In the end,” she sighed, ”I’m the only adult here.”

She glanced back at the two men still glaring at each other.

”This will end in disaster.”

***

”Maria’s right,” Seamus said suddenly. ”This ends here. Fight me outside. If I win, you stop bringing up your dead friends.”

”That’s easy for you to say,” Dylan snapped. ”It wasn’t your friends who died. You were never weak.”

He clenched his fists. ”Have you ever been in my place? Don’t tell me to ’forget it’ like it’s nothing.”

Seamus fell silent.

He was right. Just like Seamus was forced to live with Isolde, Dylan was forced to live with him.

Before Seamus could respond, two men around their age approached their table.

”Hey,” one of them said casually, offering a hand. ”You’re heading to Nieve, right? We can guide you.”

He grinned. ”Name’s Otto. I’ll show you the best experiences the capital has to offer.”

”And,” the other added with a knowing smile, ”we can get you into one of the most exclusive clubs in the city. Invitation only.”

”The Black Lotus.”
