4597 All of Them Ran Away

What Duan Ling Tian did not expect was that after the three little ones decided to wander the Divine Offering Land and cultivate, the four women also decided to wander the Divine Offering Land after staying with him for a period of time. According to them, even if they might not be able to help him much no matter how strong they became, they did not want to become a burden to him.

Duan Ling Tian knew the four women had discussed the matter so he did not stop them. He only gave them jade tokens and told them to crush them if their lives were in danger. If they crushed the jade token, he would be able to locate them and go to them immediately.

When the four women left, decades had passed since Lei Hong’s breakthrough. During this time, there was no new level-seven supreme powerhouse.

…

In the Sun Bright Realm.

The members of the force that Lei Hong belonged to had been waiting for his return all this time. If Lei Hong’s Soul Pearl was not intact, they would have thought that something had happened to him.

On this day, Lei Hong finally returned, causing a huge commotion.

“Senior Brother Lei Hong, why did you only return now?”

Many people were naturally curious as to why it took Lei Hong such a long time to return.

Lei Hong explained his absence to them. He told them that he found a place to recuperate and only returned after he was completely healed so that he could protect himself in case he ran into those three people.

After that, Lei Hong frowned slightly as he asked a few of his fellow disciples, “Fang Yi Fan hasn’t faced the Fatal Heavenly Tribulation up until now?”

Based on his understanding of Fang Yi Fan, he was certain Fang Yi Fan definitely would not be able to hold back after learning about his breakthrough. He had assumed Fang Yi Fan had already faced the Fatal Heavenly Tribulation.

Lei Hong’s frown deepened as he glanced at Fang Yi Fan’s Soul Pearl inside his spatial ring.

“We don’t know.”

Everyone shook their heads when they heard Lei Hong’s question. They naturally were unaware of the whereabouts or thoughts of the World supreme powerhouse from the Transcendence World who also obtained the Heaven Protection Talisman.

“It seems like he managed to restrain himself,” Lei Hong said as he shook his head. His eyes glinted coldly as he continued to say, “I plan to kill all those World supreme powerhouses in the Sun Bright World who were on par with me in the past. After all, they’re all very likely to become level-seven supreme powerhouses in the future. With each one I kill, there’ll be one fewer competitor for me.”

Lei Hong had never been a kind person. If he were in Feng Qing Yang’s shoes, he would have encouraged Duan Ling Tian to kill all the Saints and World supreme powerhouses while he guarded the Heaven Traversing Pagoda.

Without waiting for the people in front of him to respond, Lei Hong left again without saying anything. He did not see a point in telling them his plan or where he was going. With his strength now, he could easily kill the others without any help. In fact, bringing people with him would only be a burden to him.

…

“Old Xue!”

Lei Hong’s first stop was the Xue clan, one of the top clans in the Sun Bright World that was located close to his sect, the Cyan Swan Saint Sect.

There were two World supreme powerhouses in the Xue clan, and one of them, who was on par with Lei Hong in the past, was Lei Hong’s target this time. Apart from that, there were no fewer than ten imminent World supreme powerhouses in the Xue clan.

With his speed, it did not take long before Lei Hong arrived near the Xue clan’s estate. His Divine Consciousness swept out domineeringly, searching every corner of the Xue clan’s estate for his old rival.

“He’s not here?”

Lei Hong frowned when he discovered that his target was not around.

Swoosh!

All of a sudden, a figure rose into the sky from the Xue clan estate. A burst of light flashed before the figure flew over to Lei Hong in just a blink of an eye. He naturally sensed Lei Hong’s domineering Divine Consciousness earlier. At this moment, a hint of fear could be seen in his eyes when he looked at Lei Hong and said, “Congratulations on becoming the first level-seven supreme powerhouse of the Sun Bright World, Brother Lei.”

This person was from the same generation as Lei Hong, and he was also among the top geniuses of that generation like Lei Hong. Perhaps, without Lei Hong, he would have been the top genius of that generation. He had lamented his situation countless times and wondered when he would be able to catch up to Lei Hong.

“Xue Zhu, Xue An isn’t in the clan?” Lei Hong asked without beating around the bush.

Lei Hong had come for Xue An, the strongest person in the Xue clan, not the person in front of him, whom he had long surpassed. In the past, he did not pay attention to Xue Zhu, let alone now that he had become a level-seven supreme powerhouse. He planned to destroy the Xue clan after he killed Xue An. He could not destroy the clan before killing Xue An. After all, if he failed to kill Xue An, and Xue An became a level-seven supreme powerhouse, Xue An would likely target the Cyan Swan Saint Sect.

“Brother Lei, after coming out of the Heaven Traversing Pagoda, the ancestor returned to the clan for a while before he left again,” Xue Zhu replied.

“Do you know where he went?” Lei Hong asked.

“No,” Xue Zhu said as he shook his head. However, inwardly, he was sneering. He was naturally lying to Lei Hong.

The ancestor of the Xue clan had left the clan decades ago after learning that Lei Hong had become a level-seven supreme powerhouse. As one of the top powerhouses in the Sun Bright World, he knew Lei Hong very well, and he could guess what Lei Hong would do after Lei Hong returned. As such, he left very quickly. Otherwise, if Lei Hong killed him, the Xue clan would also fall. He knew that as long as Lei Hong did not kill him first, Lei Hong would not destroy the Xue clan.

It was just like how they, the overlords of the Sun Bright Realm, and the other overlords of the Three Upper Worlds and the 18 Middle Worlds wanted to kill Duan Ling Tian after he overcame the Fatal Heavenly Tribulation. However, they did not dare to make a move against the God Defying World until they killed Duan Ling Tian. After all, they were worried about being targeted by Duan Ling Tian after his breakthrough.

‘Sly fox!’ Lei Hong cursed inwardly, but he was not very surprised. Before coming, he was already prepared for this.

‘I wonder if the others ran away as well?’ Lei Hong wondered inwardly as he left without saying another word.

…

Lei Hong visited the forces of the World supreme powerhouses in the Sun Bright World who used to be on par with him. As expected, all of them had left.

Not only that, but when he visited forces with only one World supreme powerhouse, he discovered that those World supreme powerhouses had left as well.
