War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

4527 The Gap in History, and the Broken Path to Becoming a Level-Seven Supreme Powerhouse ‘I won’t be able to stay for long in the Langya Sword Pavilion… When my law of time completely integrates with my Sword Dao and reaches the paramount stage, the special Heavenly Tribulation that’ll come will be too earth-shattering… I have to find a suitable place to face the Heavenly Tribulation. The mysterious Asura Hell, one of the deadliest places in the God Defying World, seems like the perfect place. The deadliest places seem to be the ruins from before the gap in history… After passing the Heavenly Tribulation and becoming an advanced Supreme God, perhaps I should explore those places…’

After deciding to leave the Langya Sword Pavilion and return to the God Defying World, a thought suddenly flashed in Feng Qing Yang’s mind. He sighed as he muttered to himself, “I wonder how Little Tian is doing…”

Unlike Feng Qing Yang who was without fetters in life, Feng Qing Yang knew that his direct disciple had to bear many responsibilities.

‘After passing the Heavenly Tribulation and becoming an advanced Supreme God, I should feel the pull to break into the realm of supreme powerhouses. At that time, if I answer the call, I might be the first level-seven supreme powerhouse in a long time, surpassing the Saints in the Outer Boundary and the World supreme powerhouses in the Myriad Worlds!’

‘I wonder what happened during the gap in history that led cultivators down the wrong path… If one becomes an advanced Supreme God before comprehending a law to the paramount stage and the Four Daos of Heaven and Earth to a certain stage, one is only destined to become a mediocre supreme powerhouse. If one resists breaking into the realm of supreme powerhouses and waits until one’s law and Dao of Heaven and Earth are at a certain age, it’ll be very difficult to break into the realm of supreme powerhouses after that…’

!! Feng Qing Yang sighed.

‘Little Tian most likely has taken the wrong path in cultivation and has become an advanced Supreme God. However, based on his luck, he might not end up a mediocre supreme powerhouse like the others did… The gap in history is really mysterious… After the gap, it led cultivators down the wrong path of cultivation. Perhaps, the reason why cultivators of this era are capable of becoming supreme powerhouse so quickly is due to the abundant Heaven and Earth Spirit Energy. Before the gap in history, the Heaven and Earth Spirit Energy was not as abundant. Due to the scarce Heaven and Earth Spirit Energy, many rudimentary and intermediate Supreme Gods managed to comprehend the laws to the paramount stage before becoming advanced Supreme Gods. In any case, there are pros and cons in both situations. This is the way of nature after all…’

‘If I successfully become a level-seven supreme powerhouse, I might be able to get rid of the soul imprisonment technique on Little Tian’s wife. This will solve his greatest concern and bring him joy. I wonder where he is in the Outer Boundary… He must be working very hard to save his wife now…’

…

It was an amazing feat for an intermediate Supreme God to comprehend a law to the paramount stage and one of the Four Daos of Heaven and Earth to the seventh stage. After all, almost all intermediate Supreme Gods barely comprehended the laws to the perfect form and the rudimentary forms of the Four Daos of Heaven and Earth due to the once-in-a-thousand-year Heavenly Tribulation. After entering the realms of Kings of Gods, one would have to face the Heavenly Tribulation that would become increasingly difficult. For this reason, many cultivators were desperate to break into the realm of supreme powerhouses instead of entering the endless cycle of growing stronger and improving the laws and the Four Daos of Heaven and Earth to survive the once-in-a-thousand-year Heavenly Tribulation.

Before the gap in history, those below the realm of supreme powerhouses who entered the realms of Kings of Gods only had to face the Heavenly Tribulation once every 10,000 years. For this reason, the cultivators in the past had sufficient time to grow stronger before having to face the Heavenly Tribulation.

One of the ways for cultivators to become level-seven supreme powerhouses was the path that Feng Qing Yang had chosen.

A sword genius like Feng Qing Yang could raise his Sword Dao to the seventh stage before entering the realm of advanced Supreme Gods. If he completely integrated his Sword Dao with his law of time, he would become a level-seven supreme powerhouse as soon as he broke through.

Feng Qing Yang managed to achieve so many amazing feats thanks to the legacy left behind by the Sword of Time. It would be difficult for him to achieve what he did now without that legacy. His speculation was also correct. If he completely integrated his law of time with his Sword Dao that’s at the seventh stage, his law of time would reach the paramount stage. Once the law was at the paramount stage and any of the Four Daos of Heaven and Earth was at the seventh stage, they would attract a special Heavenly Tribulation. The strength of this Heavenly Tribulation depended on one’s strength. Since Feng Qing Yang was just an intermediate Supreme God, the strength of the Heavenly Tribulation would be relatively weak. After that, once he became an advanced Supreme God, it should not take long before he felt the pull to break into the realm of supreme powerhouses.

Unlike Feng Qing Yang, Duan Ling Tian had taken the wrong path of cultivation due to the gap in history that disrupted the path to becoming level-seven supreme powerhouses. In order to further improve his law of space and Sword Dao, he had resisted the pull to break into the realm of supreme powerhouses.

…

Duan Ling Tian was naturally unaware that his master, Feng Qing Yang, was on the right path to becoming a level-seven supreme powerhouse. He was now in the Realm of Origin that was said to be left by a level-seven supreme powerhouse before the gap in history.

At this moment, Duan Ling Tian could only watch in despair as the blindingly bright light from the huge sword ray in the sky reduced the people around him to ashes. He thought he would die sure, but just as the blindingly bright light swept toward him, he heard an ancient voice say, “A cultivator who comprehended the Sword Dao to the threshold of the seventh stage and is skilled in the law of space? Finally, all these years of waiting have finally paid off!”
