Genshin Impact: Spoiling the Future

Bolai and Dongsheng were drenched in sweat—this was the end for them!

Just as Ganyu had said, the ones who understand a person best are often their enemies.

The two of them knew all too well that even if the other knew about this future, they would absolutely sell each other out!

And now, there wasn’t even a need for them to betray one another—the evidence was already written in the book! Game over!

In the book, the group first arrived at the ”Wanyou Boutique” and spoke with Bolai.

[Bolai, seeing that the visitors were from the Yuehai Pavilion, said, ”Hehe, could it be that there’s a big order you’re bestowing upon me?”]

[Ganyu replied, ”You overthink it, Mr. Bolai.”]

[”As of now, the credibility of the ’Wanyou Boutique’ isn’t sufficient to directly accept large orders from the Yuehai Pavilion.”]

[”Even if such an opportunity arose, it would undoubtedly go to the ’Rongfa Shop’ instead.”]

Hearing the name ”Rongfa Shop,” Bolai immediately reacted defensively.

[Bolai: ”Don’t be fooled—I know better than anyone how shady that guy is.”]

[”If you don’t believe me, show me their shop’s tax records. I’m sure I can find something fishy.”]

[Ganyu: ”You’re that familiar with the ’Rongfa Shop’s’ business operations?”]

[Bolai: ”Of course! Every single one of their deals makes me grind my teeth in frustration!”]

[”Seeing that guy make money hurts me more than losing money myself!”]

”Bolai, you XX! I XXX!!” Dongsheng gnashed his teeth in fury.

Human joys and sorrows are not shared—while Dongsheng seethed with hatred, everyone else couldn’t stop laughing.

”Seeing that guy make money hurts me more than losing money myself! Hahaha, that’s absolutely brilliant!” Sangonomiya Kokomi burst into laughter.

Over in Mondstadt, Venti cast a playful glance at Diluc and teased,

”Master Diluc, does seeing the Cat’s Tail make money also hurt you?”

Diluc merely replied calmly, ”No—because they also source their alcohol from me.”

Angel’s Share was a direct distributor of Dawn Winery, and while the Cat’s Tail’s ingredients didn’t come from Dawn Winery, Diluc owned more than just one winery...

”Damn rich people!” Mona grumbled.

She occasionally came for a drink, especially when Lucian released a new book—she’d look for ”fellow readers,” unless she was broke.

Venti laughed it off, but inwardly, he thought, You’re not exactly poor either.

Mona was actually quite wealthy—she just spent money faster. If she sold her divination books and instruments, they’d fetch a considerable sum.

Returning to the book’s content, the Traveler’s trio found a lead and headed to the ”Fanmu Tang.”

At the ”Fanmu Tang,” after a conversation with the owner, Old Lu, they learned that the transaction records with the ”Rongfa Shop” were in the warehouse—but it had been occupied, and they needed to deal with the situation first.

Then, they encountered a Fatui agent... a Fatui! Definitely up to no good!

[Ganyu: ”I can already sense this person’s malice... This is... the intuition of the ’Secretary of the Qixing.’”]

The people of Liyue shared Ganyu’s intuition—they all believed the Fatui couldn’t be up to anything good.

[Paimon: ”In that case, what are we waiting for? Let’s go beat him up!”]

The Traveler and Ganyu easily subdued the Fatui agent.

[Ganyu asked, ”You’ve had enough of a beating—time to confess your plans, don’t you think?”]

[Fatui Agent: ”Plans... What plans? I really... wasn’t planning anything...”]

[Ganyu, puzzled: ”If you weren’t planning anything... then why would a Fatui subordinate like you suddenly appear in the outskirts of Qingce Village?”]

[Fatui Agent: ”If you’re asking that... Well, I was actually... planning to pick some berries over there.”]

”Ugh! Now everyone gets to see this embarrassing side of me!” Ganyu covered her face.

Originally, she’d only made a fool of herself in front of the Traveler—but now, the whole of Teyvat knew. Lucian!

”...” The readers fell silent. Even the Fatui were speechless.

The Fatui had genuinely thought they might have some grand scheme in Qingce Village in the future.

”First toy salesmen, now berry-picking—are the Fatui some kind of comedy troupe?” Arataki Itto quipped.

After dealing with the Fatui interlude, the Traveler and Ganyu cleared out the monsters in the warehouse and found the ”Rongfa Shop’s” receipts.

Returning to Liyue Harbor, they confronted the ”Rongfa Shop’s” owner, Dongsheng. With irrefutable evidence, Dongsheng had no room to argue.

Then, he learned who had leaked his information.

[Dongsheng: ”Bolai? That guy from the ’Wanyou Boutique’... actually ratted me out behind my back!”]

[”Hmph, as if he’s any cleaner himself...”]

And so, Dongsheng also exposed the ”Wanyou Boutique’s” tax evasion.

”Dongsheng! You XX! I XXX!!” Bolai cursed furiously.

The subsequent part of the story took place during a dinner gathering, where Huixin spoke with Ganyu.

Huixin told Ganyu that she had been drawn to Ganyu’s gentle reliability and had come to work at the Yuehai Pavilion because she admired her.

Even her daughter wanted to work at the Yuehai Pavilion—something she had initially worried about, given how demanding the work was.

But now, she had changed her mind.

[”Because she’ll also meet a senior named Ganyu in the future.”]

[”Senior Ganyu will kindly guide her and tell her, ’This is how your mother did it back then...’”]

[”Just like how you once showed me my father’s methods. Having you as a ’witness’ makes everything feel so reassuring.”]

[Ganyu: ”’Witness’... It’s true. I have witnessed Liyue Harbor’s thousands of years—its development, its changes, its human affairs...”]

[”But I once thought that aside from bringing me loneliness, it held no other meaning.”]

Now, however, Huixin’s words made Ganyu realize her connection to Liyue Harbor—that she, too, was relied upon and acknowledged.

Reading this part, Ganyu smiled sincerely, like a blooming lotus, utterly enchanting.

Yes, she had always been relied upon and acknowledged. She was never truly alone.

Watching Liyue Harbor’s changes over millennia, the mortals around her came and went—but what remained constant was their trust in her.

”Alright, I forgive you, junior brother,” Ganyu said with a radiant smile.

Ganyu’s happiness brought relief to the three secretaries—Thank the Archons! Ganyu isn’t leaving! We’ve survived!

The story’s conclusion featured a conversation between the three of them, where they seemed to vaguely see Director Hu waving at them from a distance.

Seeing the other party put the book away, Furina looked at Neuvillette expectantly. ”Well?”

”...” Neuvillette set the book down without answering directly.

”Lady Furina, I still have work to attend to. If you have nothing else, could you refrain from disturbing me for now?”

”Eh!? You’re not even a little interested?!” Furina exclaimed in surprise.

Disappointed, she left Neuvillette’s office. Stepping outside, she noticed through the window that it was raining.
