I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1727: 23.46 Second Grey Star - Before Dinner

At the police station…

Yun Hun and the couple were sent to the police station after their ordinary argument turned into a brawl, causing injuries to the crowd who tried to stop them. They had injured too many people and even started a stampede that harmed children and old people among the crowd. In anger, the families of those who were injured had sued Yun Hun and the couple, with the ending being their being sent to the police station. Thankfully, no one had died.

Except for Yun Hunʼs unnamed partner, the couple and Yun Hun were jailed. It took a while before everything was cleared. Sirius Frost personally came over to bail Yun Hun. At this point, Yun Hun already had the whole Frost Clan under his control.

A police officer approached the jail where the couple and Yun Hun are staying. He opened the locked cell, looking like he was in a bad mood, while looking at the three people inside the prison cell.

He said, ”The one called Yun Hun, come out! Your guardian has bailed you out. How lucky you are, being a minor and having a rich family as a backing. Those who were injured can only stay in the hospital to heal, while the culprit can come out with just a bit of money.”

”If you have a complaint, then ask someone to change the law and lower the age of those considered minors so you can be put back in jail,” Yun Hun scoffed at the police so arrogantly that it made all the police in the area frown at his words.

Sirius Frost ignored the collective ugly faces of the officers in the area and said, ”Letʼs go back. You have made enough ruckus for today.”

”I saw my elder twin brother. You know how much I hate him. On my way back, I had to bump into that annoying couple. Donʼt let them come out of there so fast. Itʼs better if they rot in there!” Yun Hun said as he walked ahead.

His words were heard by the couple and all the police officers. This leads to the couple cursing him loudly while the police become completely unwelcoming. Even though the police officers didnʼt wish to listen to this request, with their superiorʼs orders, they had no other choice at all. The couple were locked in jail for a month, regardless of their families trying to bring them out.

This news was reported to Hei Anjing and Ye Xiajie by the two wardens. Even the news that connects Yun Hun and this event was spread all over by the media. Yun Hun almost lost his chance to perform on the world stage.

—

At the Ye family mansion

Everyone was watching the television news report while waiting for dinner to be served. The news is about Yun Hunʼs scandal of almost causing the deaths of ordinary people at the mall. Together with him is the couple who were sent to jail, unable to leave the prison due to the difference in age. After all, Yun Hun is still a minor, and he wonʼt be responsible for what happened at that event; meanwhile, the couple was already in their late twenties and had no means to escape the lawyers of the victims suing them.

An Zhe no… The World Eater, An Shizhe, is seriously dissatisfied with how stupid this soul fragment is. He was so disgusted thinking that someone like this could be born from his belovedʼs soul. Like Menace, almost everybody hated his personality.

”I canʼt believe that someoneʼs soul fragment will change this much just because they have become the worldʼs beloved child. What an embarrassment!” An Shizhe said, but he made it so Yun Luan would hear something different.

Hei Anjing said, ”Without memories or with a different personality affecting them, itʼs not a surprise it would become like this.”

”Or maybe this is him being controlled by his desires. A mere clone sometimes would love to replace the original, especially when they were born with their own ego,” said Ye Xiajie.

Ye Jingxia commented, ”That Yeyeʼs soul fragment… I donʼt think he would stop just because of this event. He showed a strong desire and greed when looking at Zhe-yeye in the cinema this morning.”

”His desire is too strong. He will definitely appear before you again,” said Ye Qinjing.

Ye Jingxia asked, ”Is the death of the soul fragment harmful to the original? Is it painful?”

Hei Anjing and An Shizhe answered, ”Not much.”

The God of Void, Warden Yun Ming, and the Chief Warden answered, ”Yes.”

These two answers left the children dumbfounded and confused. They collectively have an expression saying, ʼWhich is it truly? ʼ

The World Eater clicked his tongue and said, ”Those with Luanʼerʼs and my bloodline are not affected by the death of our soul fragments. We donʼt feel pain and will just feel a bit weakened, and when the soul is cured, everything will be back to normal again.”

Hei Anjing, he explained to his children.

”Normally, the death of a soul fragment is extremely painful. After all, they are a part of the original soul. The pain is at the level of something or someone ripping up a piece of your soul.”

”Dad is so unsure?” Ye Jingxia asked.

Sighed. Hei Anjing stood up and sat beside Xiao Jing. Under everyoneʼs eyes, he cut a small wound on his second sonʼs finger, which instantly healed. Then he broke his wrist, which also healed immediately.

The God of Destruction asked, ”Do you feel the difference in pain, Xiao Jing?”

As expected, Ye Jingxia shook his head. The whole process of his finger cut and broken wrist took a few minutes to heal, yet he remained calm and unmoved as if he didnʼt feel the pain.

”No. How can there be any diff–… I understand now, Dad.”

Ye Jingxia cut off his words himself when he realized what his dad was trying to say. For them, who not only inherited a high tolerance for pain, they also possessed an immortal physique, making all kinds of injuries and fatal wounds no different than a few tingling sensations in the body.

Ye Qinjing also realized what his dad meant. Then look at his father, ”Is the pain level different for you, Father?”

”Yes, I can bear the pain of getting my heart dug out, but lingering pain from a wounded soul makes me feel a bit weak and uncomfortable. It is worse for other gods. Youʼve seen those sinners in the Nether Prison who were punished for being burned alive under the hell flames, havenʼt you? The pain should be similar to that. However, the pain from an injured soul is at the peak level of pain—the kind that cannot be adapted to, cannot be soothed, and can only be endured,” said Ye Xiajie.

Hei Anjing said, ”To understand the level of pain, maybe sealing your immortal physique might do the work. The level of tingling sensation differs at a certain level. I experienced it before; however, you can get used to it. At least, I did.”

”Donʼt try it again, Jingʼer. I donʼt like you torturing yourself even if you canʼt feel the pain,” the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness, Ye Xiajie, said.

The God of Destruction returned to the side of his other half and, with a smile, hugged him while saying, ”Alright. I wonʼt do it anymore. I promise~”

”Um…” Ye Xiajie kissed his wifeʼs forehead with a smile on his face. He knew that his wife would always keep his promises to him.

Everyone is already used to this couple throwing dog food at every moment of the day. He ignored the sweet atmosphere and continued the conversation.

Ye Qinjing asked, ”Then is there any effect on the soul fragment if the original soul died for real?”

”If itʼs true death in which oneʼs soul perishes forever, then yes. Once the original soul dies, all other soul fragments die with it. Thatʼs why Yun Hun is not trying to kill Yun Luan. Once he dies, he will as well. After all, Hunluan had descended with his true soul,” said Hei Anjing.

Ye Jingxia said, ”No wonder he only bullied him but didnʼt kill him! Then he will most likely approach Zhe-yeye again… The excitement in his eyes is completely different.”

”Let him come. I can play him to death,” said An Zhe.

All of a sudden, Yun Luan, who was just listening but hearing a different thing from the conversation, felt sleepy. Seeing this, An Zhe decided to take Yun Luan for a short nap before dinner was served.

An Zhe whispered, ”Do you wish to take a nap? I will wake up if dinner is served.”

”Alright. I will sleep for a bit,” responded Yun Luan, who bid a short farewell to everyone and went back to their rooms.

After An Zhe and Yun Luan left to take a rest, everyone continued the conversation.

Ye Jingxia asked worriedly, ”Luan-Yeye has been sleepy lately. Is there something wrong with him?”

”The real soul had awakened once. His body is trying to adjust to this change and wants to mutate to a vessel that can house the sealed soul,” Ye Xiajie explained.

Hei Anjing said, ”That means the Ancient God of Chaos, Hunluan, is about to wake up.”
