I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1440 20.4 Vearth - A Black Star

The immortality of the Mo Clan is unparalleled. They can never die under anyoneʼs circumstances, and the only one who can kill them is the person they love. Still, this weakness was cleared after the couple got the imprint of marriage to remove all weaknesses in their constitutions. This includes the Mo Clanʼs weakness of dying under the hands of his beloved.

This immortality isnʼt like the one he shared with his husband before, where he experiences death after death and then gets revived.

With Hei Anjing giving him immortality, Ye Xiajie no longer possessed the ability to die. He is immortal unless he wishes to die. Though this immortality physique is immature for newly born Mo descendants, a mature god is completely different. At least their own lives and deaths are under their control.

It is like when Snow from a thousand years ago chooses to destroy himself, itʼs the choice of the owner of this immortality that made him accept death. All he needed to do was control it.

After giving immortality to Ye Xiajie, he had no control over it. It was still under the control of the original owner of this physique, Hei Anjing, who was in control. So, unless the God of Destruction approves Ye Xiajieʼs death, he will never die in the next world, no matter what. This is the protection Hei Anjing gave to his husband, as he couldnʼt accompany him in the next world.

There is a downside to giving away this immortal physique to someone else. Because this means that the current Hei Anjingʼs physique is no different from that of a mortal, and that means he can easily be killed. The God of Void wasnʼt informed of this fact. If someone with bad ideas wanted to kill Hei Anjing at this moment, his death would be permanent, as his soul is incomplete.

Even so, to keep Ye Xiajie away from harm, he is willing to accept this risk.

After giving away his immortality to his other half, Hei Anjing had once again fallen into slumber. If not for the powerful chaos energy surrounding him, Ye Xiajie would have thought he had returned to that state of deep sleep, as if he were dead yet still alive. He feels relief in his heart as he feels the chaos energy within the core region.

Suddenly, the two wardens, Lou Wuye and Yun Ming, arrived together with the two systems, Zhi Yang and Zhi Yue. Unexpectedly, Lord God An Liang had also appeared. Ye Xiajie glanced at him.

He asked, ”Liang, have you found those trash?”

He was talking about his cousin from the Ye Gui race and that lover of his from the Hei Clan. They are among the prisoners who had escaped successfully when he was angry and accidentally destroyed the restrictions in the Nether System when his Void domain merged with the Nether System.

Even though he had killed that foster father (Uncle) of his, there were still some Ye Gui Race who had successfully escaped his wrath, and they were also the ones who saved his cousin, who had caused multiple harm to his wife in the lower realm. This sin alone is enough for Ye Xiajie to want this bastard dead.

The only reason he didnʼt kill him was because he seemed to have a connection with some unknown bastard and even helped him remove the Nether Chains on him. That chain isnʼt easily removed, as it was made from Jingʼer and his blood. Only someone who is directly connected to their blood can unleash it.

This would mean someone directly connected to them is their enemy. Itʼs just that there are no traces left after that cousin of his disappeared and he successfully escaped from Vearth even though he had spread his domain to surround the whole planet.

Lord God An Liang responded, ”We found his traces just that.”

”What is it?” asked Ye Xiajie.

Lord God An Liang said, ”The way the traces were found and how they were reported anonymously, it is more likely a trap to lure you there intentionally.”

”I donʼt care. Tell me where they are hiding!?” said Ye Xiajie, obviously trying to hold back the anger in his heart. After all, the deaths his beloved had experienced just to resurrect him were all like nails in his heart he could never remove.

Lord God An Liang sighed and said, ”It is one of the black stars that possessed Xiao Anʼs soul fragment. The Ancient-Cultivation World, S-class Black Star. Argh! Your wife is going to get angry and my wife is going to scold me again. Tsk! I will send as much support to you just in case.

Can you be careful with your life at least?”

”You guys keep on saying that. I am not suicidal at least!” retorted Ye Xiajie.

Lord God An Liang looked at him in disbelief and said, ”Are you seriously asking that? Forget it, you never listen to me anyway. You should just listen to your wife.”

As expected when the God of Destruction, Hei Anjingʼs name, was mentioned this arrogant God of Void turned mute. Adding the fact that no matter how much he promised his baby, the latter no longer believes that he will be careful with his life. It is just that he had gotten used to being an absolute existence that isnʼt afraid of anything so that this carelessness of his doesnʼt disappear at all.

It was almost a habit.

Lord An Liang noticed his strange quietness and said, ”You got warned again didnʼt you?”

”Tsk! As if you donʼt get warned by your wife,” retorted Ye Xiajie as he pulled out two black stars among the rest of the ones in his keeping. ”Which of these two was the star you are talking about?”

The two gods looked at the two black stars floating around them as if this star were not a planet but a toy under their complete control. Well, it was indeed under their control, as these stars in the possession of Ye Xiajie are all registered in the Nether Systemʼs database, and he can do as he wishes.

As long as he didnʼt mindlessly destroy it, causing the divine laws to punish him, everything can be done.

Lord God, An Liang, grabbed the black star he was talking about and gave it to his friend. ”This is the world I am talking about. An anonymous report said that your cousin, Ye Yan, and his lover, Hei Suya, were hiding from this place. They would have never expected that the world they are in would possess the soul fragment of Xiao An and would most likely suffer in it right now.”

”You canʼt be sure of that. Jingʼer said that the rest of his soul fragments would most likely hate me to death—the kind of hate where they couldnʼt wait but crush me into nothing.” Ye Xiajie said.

Lord God An Liang pat Ye Xiajieʼs shoulder and said, ”Bear with it. Even though you are also a victim at that time, he was indeed left behind in the void alone and suffered the tainting of darkness with his soul for a very long time. Even if it wasnʼt your fault, the pain and agony he had suffered is real. It was even more surprising that Xiao An could love you so deeply after that event.”

”I know. Itʼs my fault. That time I yearned for the world outside the Void too much. Itʼs because of this that the God of End had successfully done as he wanted,” said Ye Xiajie as his face turned ugly at the mention of that Ancient God who made his life hell.

As if recalling something, Lord God An Liang said, ”Speaking of that Ancient God, the God of End, he went ahead and visited that only SS-Class world with Xiao Anʼs Soul Fragment. Until now, there has been no news about him. Do you think something happened to him?”

”What can happen to him? Did Ancient God even die? Unless they choose to end themselves, their lifespan is eternal,” Ye Xiajie said as he hid the unchosen black star and only held the one An Liang had given him.

”Thatʼs also true. If there is someone who can harm those Ancient Gods, it can only be another Ancient God. There are only two of them left, and they are a couple. I guess they wouldnʼt kill each other. Are you going now?” Lord God An Liang asked.

Ye Xiajie nodded his head as he looked at his wife. His eyes remained the same, full of passionate love, yearning, and guilt. His wife had sacrificed for him too much, this time itʼs his turn to save him. He held his sleeping wifeʼs hand and kissed it reverently.

He whispered, ”Baby, I will be back soon. Just a little bit more, and everything will return to normal soon.”

Then he looked at his friend and said, ”The Nether System is in your hands.”

”Leave it to me!” Lord God An Liang responded.

After a while, Ye Xiajie bid farewell to his friend as he sent him out. He planned to keep his wife safe in the Void, which he made sure that only he could enter. After making sure that the core region of the Nether System had entered the Void, he looked at the two quiet wardens and two systems who were waiting for the lord to notice them.

Ye Xiajie said, ”Get ready. The next world has been chosen.”

The two wardens, Yun Ming and Lou Wuye, as well as the two systems, Zhi Yue and Zhi Yang, looked at the black star in their lordʼs hand and felt a bad premonition coming from it. They had overheard the conversation between their Sovereign Lord and the Lord God, that this world would most likely be a trap.

The Chief Warden spoke, ”Milord, are you sure about this?”

”Yes. Ye Yan and Hei Suya might be in this world. I need to know who helped them escape and who was the person supporting the Ye Gui race all this time. After all, even if my foster father was a greedy man, he doesnʼt have the courage to do anything against my mother, but in the end, he did.

How could he not know that my father is alive, they are twins, and they can feel whether the other is alive or not? Someone or something must be behind all these things that are happening right now.” The God of Void said.

The rest of them didnʼt expect that there was still an unknown enemy behind all this.

Warden Yun Ming, who understood what the sovereign lord was trying to say, contemplated for a moment and said, ”If thatʼs the case, then Lord Yeʼs second was a plan of someone, but because Master intervened, he wanted to kill him? Is that why in the past few worlds, when Lord Ye was awakening his soul, the danger Master had to undergo had sharply increased?

In fact, he died multiple times under the involvement of the Ye Gui race and the traitor group from the Hei Clan.”

”No wonder there are too many destroyers entering the world we are in. So, was it because they wanted to hinder the resurrection of Milord? But why would they do that?” said the Chief Warden.

Warden Yun Ming took a guess: ”Maybe whoever the mastermind is, he might be truly connected to Lord Ye or something in him. His power? The Void? But that is something Lord Ye is born with.”

”Itʼs the power of gluttony,” said Ye Xiajie with a dark face. ”It seems that there are more fanatic believers of the original World Eater who want to revive him. To do that, all the former fragments of the original World Eater who are now independent must all die as a sacrifice to bring their Lord back?”

”Would killing Milord bring back the World Eater?” Zhi Yue asked.

The God of Void said, ”Jingʼer said that by gathering enough power of Chaos, the possibility of a new World Eater being born exists. The power of gluttony in me is one of the strongest fragments that exist. Itʼs the same as Tun Shizhe. If they gathered all of our powers, they might use all of it to give birth to a new world eater. So, to take it away, it would be better if I am dead.

But my body was hidden by An Liang in the Nether System, and no one aside from him knows about it. Even after his daughter was taken as hostage, he had never told them about my location. Itʼs because of this that I choose to forgive him.”

Silence had descended in the void. They didnʼt expect that Lord God An Liang, who was said to have betrayed their lord, would have done such a thing. Maybe he had only betrayed the Lord when his daughterʼs life was in a life-threatening position and Lord God An Liang had no other choice but to give up Lord Hei in the end.

Though he still made sure to protect the safety of the God of Void, even if it meant that his friend would get angry at him for giving up the man he loves for his sake.
