I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1037: 16.83 First Red Star - Before the Trial.

Mayonaka Yoru had returned to the city with todayʼs patrol and hunting team. They were dragging five Agilisaurus Dinosaurs with them as they entered the city gates. The guards at the gates welcomed them with smiles and some even joked around with the team how lucky they were that day to catch five Agilisaurus. It was quite hard to capture this type of dinosaur as they move faster than Beastman in their human form. They could barely catch one in their beast form though it would be a piece of cake for the beastman of feline type.

”Boss, you got quite a catch today. That is five. Not just the usual two Agilisaurus. Have you found them sleeping or something?” One of the gate guards said.

The boss of the patrol group said, ”This is all thanks to our city guest, Mayonaka Yoru. He helped us restrain these guys so we are all able to capture them all. He said it was to train for his Mateship Trial tomorrow. He and his partner would be joining in!”

”Wow~ thought I heard about the rumors but you are indeed young yet powerful. Kid, do your best tomorrow. As long as you passed the three trials you would be allowed to get a Ceremony blessed by the Beast God. You will receive the blessing of having a mate connected to your soul. Itʼs one of a kind.” The other guard said

They are too welcoming towards Yoru as not only he had treated them honestly but also helped them with hunting. He is a strong Beastman Wolf who is not only an ice wielder but also a warrior himself. What they didnʼt know is that the werewolf race is a warrior tribe. Hunting and fighting is something they do even as a cub.

Mayonaka Yoru asked, ”There are three trials?”

”Hm? You didnʼt know. You are supposed to have a guide from the Great Elder.”

”Well, I wanted to check the situation outside the city alone for information. The rest of my group must have met with the guide if there is one.” Mayonaka Yoru said.

The Patrol Teamʼs leader said, ”They might be at the restaurant or at the cafe or maybe at the library. Letʼs complete the mission so you can go find them afterwards. By then you can go ahead and treat them to dinner after we finish the mission.”

”Thanks, Boss.” Mayonaka Yoru said and so he accompanied the patrol team at Dino Resto to complete the mission of gathering ingredients. All members of the Patrol Team can have free dinner with their family or friends only for today.

Mayonaka Yoru separated from the Patrol Team and guessed where his partner and younger siblings were. Since it was still before dinner, he guessed that he must be in the Library. Even though his wife loves to drink coffee, he loves to spend time reading more. The two of them like to spend the afternoon reading a book together.

As expected in the Library only his lover, Esther Dawn remains. He was surrounded by a book at the corner of the library quietly reading. He hugged him from behind. At first, Esther Dawn stiffened in shock but instantly calmed down when he smelled the familiar scent of winter flower camelia coming from the person who hugged him. Only one person in this world had this scent of flowers.

Esther Dawn said, ”Youʼre back. How is your investigation?”

”It went well. I saw those dinosaurs close up after joining the Patrol Team. Where are the others?” Mayonaka Yoru asked.

Esther Dawn replies, ”Carnelian, felt tired reading and was bored so he brought the rest away to find some snacks.” He passed the encyclopedia of dinosaurs to his lover and said, ”Read this. It should have covered common dinosaurs and uncommon ones.”

”Thatʼs useful. Pudding, after helping them in the mission I got a reward to bring the family to a restaurant to eat dinner. It will only be effective in the evening today. Do you want to try dinosaur meat?” Mayonaka Yoru said.

Esther Dawn nods and said, ”Our guides said it was delicious. It made me kind of interested in how it tasted. Letʼs go tonight with everyone.”

”I will bring you guys over for dinner tonight.” Mayonaka Yoru said and suddenly recalled about the information he got from the aborigines regarding the trial. ”Iʼve also asked around. Theyʼve said that the trial had three stages and it was done by the pair. The first two stages are easy. I only need to capture you a dinosaur while you have to cook it for us to eat. The last trial is a bit special. We are told to enter the Forest of Illusions and find each other.”

”Forest of Illusions? I kind of read something about it. Itʼs a special forest that sees through someoneʼs heart. Any secrets about the couples would be revealed and it caused more breakup than harmony between couples. I donʼt mind coming here but... You already knew most about me. How about you? Do I know everything about you, Yoru?” Esther Dawn said.

Mayonaka Yoru hugged from behind and was silent. He laid his chin on Estherʼs shoulder and whispered, ”You know about the present me ever since we met in the Templar Temple. As for the past, it wasnʼt such a good memory but since you wanted to know I can tell you everything.”

”Our Tribe was extinct except for me and Conri. He is my younger by blood. It was the Templar Temple who destroyed it. To be exact, it was Kenan Light who came on purpose because he needed our fur. As a White Fenrir, our bodies were born with light elements. Iʼm as special as I can use both Ice and Light elements. Those who wore our fur would be able to wield light elements. Thatʼs why our tribe was hunted.”

Esther Dawn already knew that Mayonaka Yoru and Conri Lycaon were biological brothers but he didnʼt expect for their tribe to be destroyed by Kenan Light himself. There had always been a rumor about Kenan Light the direct disciple of the Founder not being able to wield Light elements like his elder brother, Luciel Dawn. He was just born as an ordinary person. It was only due to Keylan Lightʼs kindness that he accepted such a child as his disciple when Luciel Dawn had rejected him.

”So it was true that Kenan Light wasnʼt capable of using holy elements. Thatʼs why he used illegal means to get this power. So how did he get his abilities as the Pope? I heard his light elements are said to be pure and powerful.” Esther Dawn asked.

Mayonaka Yoru explained, ”Thatʼs because that power wasnʼt originally his but the Founderʼs. He killed him and took his core then implanted it on his body. Because of that, he was able to use light elements like no ordinary priest. Moreover, he used his disciples as ingredients to increase his power. He stole their abilities for himself and then killed them. If not for Uncle Luc escaping Asher Dawn and his ending would be the same as the other disciple of that evil man.”

”He is disgusting and evil to the core. He not only killed his teacher but also his disciples? Is that even a human? No wonder he ended up becoming a devil in the end.” Esther Dawn said.

Mayonaka Yoru said, ”It was Lord Fenrir Skoll who saved me and Yue. Later on, the King wanted to adopt us both but I declined as I wanted to infiltrate the Templar Temple and destroy it from the inside. So after I reached adulthood I entered the Temple as an orphan. Thatʼs why he is now called Conri Lycaon instead of Mayonaka Yue. To remove Conriʼs connection to our original tribe the King sealed his memories of the past and even made sure he wouldnʼt remember that he is a snow wolf. In the temple, I also hid the fact that I am a White werewolf, didnʼt I?”

”Eventually I meet you there and feel for you. I even chose to forget my original objective when I first came to the Templar Temple and wanted to help you look for your father. I was lucky. That he is still alive when I found him, Uncle Luc.”

Out of nowhere Esther Dawn suddenly turned around and hugged his lover. All this time he didnʼt know how much Yoru had suffered. His whole family and tribe was slaughtered by humans for their fur that had gone extinct. He had intention to get revenge on humans but he suddenly fell in love with him and even became his Luna. It was only because he is his Fated Luna that Yoru even chose to lay down his weapon against humans all because of him.

Esther Dawn said, ”Iʼm sorry. If not because of me you would have completed your revenge. But donʼt forget, I will always be on your side. I will help you kill Kenan Light who has now become a Devil.”

Mayonaka Yoru hugs his love tightly in his embrace. After sacrificing everything for love, he now has someone to become his family and even someone who will help him achieve his goal in life. His Luna and his Love, he is thankfully that his destined one is someone like Esther Dawn. A lovely person who is not only intelligent but also quite powerful.

”Okay. I will be with you until the end, Este-chan.”

The two were lovey-dovey even when the other children had returned. After learning about what Mayonaka Yoru had done, they were surprised that he had indeed gone out of the city and with the Patrol Hunting Team of the city. They were even excited about the Dino Restaurant they had plans on dropping by too for dinner. Now they have reservations thanks to Mayonaka Yoru. They only need to bring themselves to be able to eat the delicacy made of dinosaur meat.

When the night falls, under the lead of Mayonaka Yoru and Esther Dawn, they bump into the other members of the patrol team who brought their families with them. These uncles immediately recognized Mayonaka Yoru and greeted him and his companions with a smile.

”Yo! Itʼs Yoru. You came over early, thatʼs good. The owner had reserved rooms for us.”

Then they noticed Ester Dawn holding Mayonaka Yoruʼs hand and the other children behind him. They even recognize the disciples of the Great Elder Tuya, Baishi and Leafy.

”Is that your future mate?”

Ether Dawn greeted them politely. ”Nice to meet everyone. Thank you for taking care of Yoru. I hope he didnʼt make it bad for you when you brought him out of the city.”

”Little Saozi, there is no need for thanks. Brother Yoru and even helped us with hunting. He is very powerful and his beast form is pretty. Iʼm sure he will satisfy you as his mate.”

”I know, Brothers. I will keep him by my side until the end.”

”Hahaha~ Brother Yoru, you got quite a fierce mate.”

”Hmp! Of course. My future wife is the best!”

Hahahahaha~ their laughter caught everyoneʼs attention but they were all smiles as they overheard their conversation. The Beastmen who are in love are more sarcastic than others when showing off their mate. This kind of boisterous laughter is normal especially when friends meet each other.

”Well, even Leafy and Brother Baishi are here. This dinner party would be a party to behold.”
