844 14.120 Last Violet Star – (Past) A Vow between Bai Qiyin and Yun Huaxia

Despite being the Bai Lengshui Sect’s successor by birth, Bai Qiyin felt a little less confident than the rest. This is due to the fact that he has already witnessed the best of the best. an ideal being. One who was endowed by birth with exceptional talent, intelligence, and charm. His older brother, Bai Wuan, is the only person who, in his opinion, is perfect.

His parents and other sect leaders treat his elder brother with the utmost reverence. It wasn’t because of his extraordinary abilities; rather, it was because of his otherworldly temperament, which didn’t match his mortal self. If his older brother ever revealed to him that he was immortal, he wouldn’t be shocked.

Bai Qiyin was raised observing Bai Wuan up to the present timeline and was aware that his elder brother could occasionally be enigmatic. He was extremely knowledgeable as if his wisdom did not even exist in their realm. There is a solemn yet magnificent air about him that permeates the area. This is comparable to encountering the most majestic monarch, which looks down upon the earth with aloofness and indifference.

The older brother of Bai Qiyin serves as his role model. A being that wasn’t intended to exist in their ordinary world. As a result, he was frequently compared to his older brother by others. Compared to Bai Wuan, he has the appearance of someone who was born with all the imperfections in the world. He has a very poor sense of self-worth as a result. However, despite having slower and lesser cultivation than his older brother, he never encountered any obstacles or barriers during his training. This is because Bai Wuan could always be counted on to stand by him and his sister.

People are unique individuals. No one would be the same as another, as his older brother used to remark. That each individual has a unique set of skills and talents. You don’t need to be concerned with what other people think of you. Never did they get to pick your fate or how things would turn out. The end you would have is entirely up to you. He and Lili would frequently hear these from his older brother. Considering that he was aware that, despite his warnings, he could never prevent people from speaking behind his back. His older brother never showed those people any affection as a result. They weren’t his loved ones or relatives.

For Bai Qiyin, cultivation is enjoyable. Every time he gains strength and feels himself becoming stronger, he is happier. These are accomplishments that can make Bai Qiyin proud, in his opinion.

In addition, even if he felt powerless, his older brother would be there to mentor and assist him. It was a means of communication between him and his older brother.

Bai Qiyin grew up hearing the tales Bai Wuan concocted based on his encounters in the alternate reality he had previously lived in. Bai Qiyin had cherished hearing about his exploits. He really appreciates the phrase “Other Half.” This is a being or somebody that is present just to make one feel whole. A person who would show you a different kind of affection from what your parents and siblings have shown you. More than your buddies do, support you. Giving that one individual access to everything. Coexisting and actually dying with you. Someone unique was crafted only for you. An Other Half is a soulmate who exists solely for the reason you live.

A cultivator who promised to follow the dao of immortality with you is referred to as a Dao Companion. Fighting for the same cause and sticking together as a supporter who will be with you to your peak and hardship.

.....

Bai Qiyin no longer understood what Dao Companion meant since he lost his cultivation. He isn’t even Yun Huaxia’s official Dao Companion, much less his other half who will live with him through good times and bad.

Although Bai Qiyin fights in Yun Huaxia’s embrace, there is just too much power between a common person and a cultivator. Bai Qiyin became even more enraged by the fact that he was unable to even shove the man aside as previously. He eventually gave up, his tears continuing to flow, this time landing squarely on Yun Huaxia’s face, leaving the latter helpless as to what to do.

“Please let me go. I want to be alone right now,” said Bai Qiyin.

The unexpected rejection from his sweetheart saddened Yun Huaxia. Despite the fact that he was aware of his intentions. He was still in bewilderment that his beloved had such poor self-esteem. But Yun Huaxia may partially comprehend when he contemplates Bai Wuan’s childhood with Bai Qiyin. He also saw his younger sibling gradually catch up to and exceed him. Although the birth differences in skill seem unjust, there is nothing anybody can do about it but accept what they are born with.

Yun Xiajie, his younger brother, shared Bai Wuan’s lack of interest in the heirloom. Yun Xiajie, who was born a few years later and matched his talent and fortitude, had the same right as himself to succeed as the head of their Sect. Unluckily, Yun Xiajie was only interested in cultivating. The only anomaly in his life was the existence of Bai Wuan. His aloofness and disinterest in this individual had already subsided after just meeting him. As though his cultivation was far less significant than meeting Bai Wuan, which was the only reason he was even alive.

He views Bai Qiyin’s existence as being similar to that of his younger brother and looks at Bai Wuan. his beloved is the only one who has ever been able to totally penetrate and occupy his heart. He would in no way abandon him due to the distinction between having a qi and not. He has nothing more to adore about Bai Qiyin than how he is.

Bai Qiyin was permitted to leave by Yun Huaxia, but he held onto his hands the entire time, contradicting his thoughts. Despite such reassurance, the former still felt uneasy about this and attempted to draw his hands back. Yun Huaxia unexpectedly kneels before the Heir of the Bai Clan even preventing the latter from finishing speaking. Even Zero and Jin Baihua, who were quietly observing them from the corner, were startled in addition to Bai Qiyin.

With a trembling voice, Bai Qiyin says, “W-What are you... doing?! Stand up! Don’t kneel!!!”

This time, Yun Huaxia paid little attention to his lover’s remarks and instead simply fixed a serious expression in Bai Qiyin’s eyes. Because of this, the latter refrained from saying the remainder of what he had to say and turned away from the stubborn man.

The First Young Master Yun says, “If you can’t believe yourself. That’s okay with me. If you can’t cultivate. I don’t care at all. But if you want to leave then... That I can never accept. Since you don’t believe my feelings for you then I shall make a vow to the heavens!”

“Stop! What... What are you planning to do?!” remarked Bai Qiyin as he panicked that Yun Huaxia might say something he could never take back. A pledge with the heavenly laws as a witness cannot be revoked. Breaking it means getting punished by the heavens itself.

Bai Qiyin attempted to free his hands from his lover’s grip in order to stop Yun Huaxia but was unable to do so. Jin Baihua tried to become involved, but Zero grabbed him and blocked him in his tracks. The Heir of the Lan Zhuayun Sect made a vow to the gods that he would never be able to retract. It would be better if he pledged to support his little lord through life and death. It’s all for the benefit of the family of his Lord. His master would be happier the better their outcome was.

Yun Huaxia vowed to the heavens.

“I vow with the heavens as a witness. I will only love Bai Qiyin and no one else. He will be my companion in dao and in life. His life shall be connected to mine. I shall stay by his side for better or for worse. Not even death shall pull us apart. If I, Yun Huaxia, break this oath, let the heavenly lightning fall on me. Destroy my body and burn my soul. Not being allowed to be reborn ever again!”

He completed his pledge, and the heavens had witnessed and acknowledged it. After making this vow, a warning rumbling could be heard from the sky, and Yun Huaxia’s forehead was marked by divine lightning. The shape of lightning was left behind as if it had left a physical mark on him.

Stunned, Zero mumbled, “The Imprint of the Heavenly Laws. His oath was accepted and can never be revoked. If he does not only his physical body would perish even his soul would be completely obliterated. Not being able to reincarnate ever again.”

The conclusion and Yun Huaxia’s resolve stunned everyone. Even Bai Qiyin, who attempted to reject his Dao Companionship with Yun Huaxia, collapsed and eventually took a seat on the ground as the latter continued to assist him.

Astonished, Bai Qiyin says, “H-How...? Why?... I am just a mortal right now! How can you make a vow like that!? If I decided to leave you and rejected you, what can you do? Leave for eternity and die with him because of a pledge? What about your younger brother? Your sect? Your family?”

Bai Qiyin wants to keep berating his foolish sweetheart. Even though they weren’t yet a dao companion, this fool made such an oath. Yun Huaxia is still not permitted to seek another dao partner even if he decides not to be his. Even if he rejects him, Yun Huaxia can only love him and him alone in this world. This is a result of the unilateral oath he took on his own.

His hand is held by Yun Huaxia, who then kisses it. The latter was able to detect his trembling as well as his underlying anxiety. His lover genuinely didn’t want to part with Bai Qiyin.

“The oath is my decision. I will follow through with it regardless of your decision. Even so I... I wish you would still choose to stay by my side. Yin’er, I’m begging you. Please do leave me. Let’s find a way to make you able to cultivate again. Let A’Wuan check first. If he cannot treat it I am willing to go on a journey to find a cure for you. If in the end we still failed then... I, Yun Huaxia, am willing to die with you as a mortal. I will abolish my cultivation as well and live as a mortal with you. Staying only by your side until the end. Yin’er, don’t leave me alone. I can’t live without you.”

Speechless, Bai Qiyin was unable to speak. What a sincere confession. He was unable to contest Yun Huaxia’s affection and devotion for him. He was soothed and enraged by the oath alone. He was now much more terrified that the fool in front of him would likewise give up cultivation and turn mortal with him.

“Are you stupid?”

“If you say I am then I will be...”

“With that plea, if I cannot regain my cultivation you can only live with at most 70 years. If I die you will also die.”

“It’s my honor to accompany you, Yin’er”

“Accompany, my ass! You are stupid. Idiot! Moron! How can you make such an oath!? You can never take it back!”

“I have no plans on taking it back. Though I am not afraid of death, I will never break my vow with you. We shall live and die together.”

Hearing this, Bai Qiyin stared at Yun Huaxia with a serious expression on his face. He had completely calmed down. Yun Huaxia noticed all his changes as well as he kept his eyes on his face.

Bai Qiyin said in a commanding tone, “Let go of my hand.”

Yun Huaxia briefly hesitated before complying with the request after noticing his lover’s serious expression in the sapphire eyes that were staring back at him. As soon as he released his grip, Bai Qiyin took hold of his hands. He made a promise to the heavens similar to Yun Huaxia.

“I, Bai Qiyin, make an oath with the heavens. In this world, I shall only love one person until the end of my life. This life, his body and the soul in me, everything would be given to my chosen other half, Yun Huaxia. In life, I shall accompany him and in death, we shall still be as one. If I ever break this oath there is no need for me to ever exist. I wish for the heavens to be my witness as well.”

Analogous to what occurred to Yin Huaxia. On Bai Qiyin’s forehead, an impression appeared. Lightning left its mark in the air. It resembled the one on Yun Huaxia’s forehead in form. Yun Huaxia, seeing this, was unable to contain his happiness. He gave his partner a forehead kiss while grinning as if he had the world in the palm of his hands. The two were smiling because the pledges they took were essentially the same as those made during the Dao Companionship ritual, which was seen by heaven.

An eternal commitment oath. One that is unbreakable excluding one who actively seeks death. Please visit f𝘳𝚎𝗲𝘸e𝐛𝑛𝐨𝘃𝘦𝚕. co𝚖
