I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 646: 12.48 Unknown Star - Modern ABO World: First Case - The Killerʼs Motive.

Just right after Prosecutor Ye Yuyan had left with his team of criminals, Officer Ying Wu and Inspector Yi Rouya who were left behind only have awkwardness and silence between the two of them. The inspectorʼs eyes were wet in tears as his arms hung on his side as if it was boneless. Hua Heiyu had mercilessly dislocated both his arms for pissing him off. Whatʼs funny is that Prosecutor Ye Yuyan had even instigated his action delightfully.

Officer Ying Wu who was left behind had no other choice but to clean up the mess left behind by his team. Despite his dislike for Inspector Yi Rouya, Officer Ying Wu didnʼt leave indifferently like the Prosecutor. He even helped the Inspector to reconnect his arms. But this ungrateful one didnʼt even thank him and tried to slap him. He dodges on time thanks to his reflexes.

Tsk!”Thankless person! Go back, the case files had been delivered. Donʼt you know how much Prosecutor Ye Yuyan hates you. Would you only stop after receiving a bullet in your head!?” scolded Officer Ying Wu.

Inspector Yi Rouya didnʼt even retort as both his arms are numb and painful. His body as an omega is too fragile, when he got his arms dislocated the pain afterward was very hard for him to bear. There are even bruises left on his skin when Hua Heiyu forcefully dislocated his arms and when Officer Ying Wu reconnected his arms.

”How can he do this to me? Who is that man? Why is he living in Ye Yuyanʼs place!?” like hysteria, Yi Rouya started shouting the same words as before.

Officer Ying Wu immediately lost all his patience and told him everything in a provocative way.

”You know what? The identity of that man who dislocated your arms. Very well. You are so courageous that youʼve tried to raise your hand to the one who was deemed the youngest psychopathic serial killer in our district. Only by staying by Prosecutor Ye Yuyanʼs side can the headquarters be sure he wouldnʼt suddenly begin killing like before.

Here you are... an unlimited-life cockroach. Someone who dared to grab the collar of a cold-blooded killer who likes to kill women and omegas like you! You are so brave, why donʼt you try it again!? Be thankful that he didnʼt kill you on the spot! Stop bothering my work and return to where you came from!” shouted Officer Ying Wu at Yi Rouya.

The inspector on the other hand was frightened silly by this explanation. That pretty young man he thought he could bully anytime was someone who kills for fun and a psycho as well. Just the fact that Hua Heiyu might remember him because of this terrified Yi Rouya to his core. Even if the headquarters had given him the courage to appear before Prosecutor Ye Yuyan, standing in the presence of a dead person like Hua Heiyu scared him to death.

Officer Ying Wu cheered in his heart when he saw Inspector Yi Rouyaʼs pale face.

”Finally afraid now. I will inform you of this ahead of time. Hua Heiyu would be staying beside Prosecutor Ye Yuyan 24/7 this is to ensure he wouldnʼt be doing anything against the law for the second time. The Prosecutor is his only restraint and you wanted to separate them. You are courting death.” said Officer Ying Wu as he pulled him out of the building and looked for his car to follow the rest to the suburbs. He still needs to do his job after all.

Meanwhile, Ye Yuyan inside the car with his team received a phone call from his superiors. They received Inspector Yi Rouyaʼs complaint about what happened just now. Mostly reporting about Hua Heiyuʼs behavior just now.

Ring. Ring.

With a grumpy face, Prosecutor Ye Yuyan asked, ”What do you need?”

[You cannot treat Inspector Yi Rouya like that. He was sent there to help you.]

”You, old men, donʼt mean to become my burden right? And for your information, the one who dislocated his arms is not me but an omega like him. You should be able to remember Hua Heiyu right? He is an omega and fighting between omegas is not something an alpha like me would get involved in.”

[You should warn that psycho with you. He canʼt harm people just because he wanted to.]

”The dutiful Inspector you guys had sent to my house was so brave that he grabbed his collar as soon as he saw Hua Heiyu. Whatʼs funny is that he even tried to punch him. Be grateful that he wasnʼt killed on the spot for his rudeness. If there are any new cases, have Ying Wu send them to me. Donʼt send useless burdens that would hinder my job. If not for me giving warning to my guards ahead of time they would have shot him before he could enter the building. Tsk! How lucky he is~”

Ye Yuyan one-sidedly ended the call on his side. Hua Heiyu and the other two who were with him all smiled. They have teasing smiles on their faces with just them in the car, there is no need to continue the disguise.

Lou Wei asked, ”Captain, you acting a madman was quite a show~”

Bang!

Ye Yuyan kicked the back of the driverʼs seat. Lou Wei who was driving was hit on the back by that kick.

Yun Jie said to his lover, ”Donʼt be so nosy so early in the morning. Iʼll feed you bread while driving who told you to skip breakfast.”

”I didnʼt. I didnʼt intentionally skip meals. That Yi Rouya suddenly squealed like a dying pig and thought the captain had beaten him up to death.” said Lou Wei.

Yun Jie said, ”Stop being dumb. Brother and brother-in-law know how to hold back. Even if Yi Rouya is as annoying as before, they couldnʼt kill him in front of Officer Ying Wu.”

”Oi, you also canʼt kill him with no one around okay!?” retorted Lou Wei.

Yun Jie said, ”Shut up and focus on driving.”

In the back seat, Hei Yuhua and Ye Yuyan were seriously reading through the case report from the folder Inspector Yi Rouya had brought to them.

Ye Yuyan asked as he saw his wife checking through the photos of the victims within the folder.

”What do you think, Yuʼer?” asked Ye Yuyan.

Hei Yuhua responded, ”I canʼt see much with the photos. I need to see the body next time. But this is obviously a serial killer one with a professional touch. I need to see the body. An autopsy would be okay too.”

”Sure. Letʼs go to the morgue,” said Ye Yuyan.

But before he could ask Lou Wei to head to the morgue he received a call from Officer Ying Wu.

[Sir. A new victim had been found! Please come over as soon as possible.]

”We are coming over. Send the location.”

[I am at xxxxxx.]

”We are on our way,” said Ye Yuyan before the call ended.

He then told Lou Wei to go to the address sent to him by Officers Ying Wu. Unknown to when the rain had started falling the interior of the car had fallen into silence. He and Hei Yuhua were reading through the case reports about this serial killer. Most of the murdererʼs culprits are weak prey. Like a woman or a young omega.

He would cut their tummies avoiding any organs from being sliced in the process. The knife wounds were all clean cuts which are why Hei Yuhua said that the serial killer is a professional with his hands.

”Iʼve seen this kind of case before. AʼYan you should ask Officer Ying Wu for slashing stomach cases 1 to 2 years ago. He should find something similar. I need to compare.” said Hei Yuhua.

Ye Yuyan silently nods his head and calls Officer Ying Wu once again, this time ordering him to come back to the headquarters to look for old and similar cases.

Yun Jie and Lou Wei asked, ”What should we do Brother (Madam)?”

”Thereʼs a behavioral pattern for this manʼs murder. First, women and omegas who live alone in short those without partners to protect them, and second, rain. He only kills when itʼs raining as he couldnʼt smell the scent of blood because of rain.”

”Gather information about females and omegas who are either windowed or single within this area. The killing range of this killer is limited to just this area. So we need to filter the possible future victims as soon as possible. Brother Lou and AʼJie can split up to gather as much information as possible. I and AʼYan would head to the crime scene.” said Hei Yuhua.

”We understand, brother (madam),” said Lou Wei and Yun Jie.

After dropping Ye Yuyan and Hei Yuhua at the crime scene, the other two drive alone to do their duties. It was raining as expected when the new victim was found.

The scene of the crime was isolated by the police and a yellow line with the words do not enter had been spread in this certain alley. As soon as Prosecutor approached the scene the police on duty all saluted him.

The policeman said, ”Welcome Prosecutor Ye!”

”Good work. We will enter now,” said Ye Yuyan as the police on duty helped him lift the yellow line and allowed Ye Yuyan and Hua Heiyu with him.

With the sound of the falling rain as the background, the scent of blood was strongly spreading within the alley at the dimmed small road hidden from the main road a young omega was laying down on his own pool of crimson blood. His eyes were closed as if sleeping but the wide wound on his stomach was as if a pregnant woman who had undergone a cesarean surgery.

Ye Yuyan frowned and asked, ”What do you think?”

”Iʼm sure now. This is not the first time. You should have Officer Ying Wu find similar cases. Tell him there is another requirement. Victims must be a month or two pregnant without partners and live within this district. Tell the other two about the update as well.” said Hua Heiyu.

Ye Yuyan silently agreed to his words and held his wrist as he pulled him away from the scene. In his heart, he was afraid that his wife would be affected. Hei Yuhua is after an omega like the victim theyʼve just seen.

”Stay. Donʼt you dare leave my side without permission? I will call a taxi to bring us to that place.” said Ye Yuyan as he held Hua Heiyuʼs hand over his large hoodies.

To others, it looks like Ye Yuyan was holding Hua Heiyuʼs wrist trying to restrain his movement and not letting him leave without permission. Only Hei Yuhua knew that his mate was indirectly holding his hand hidden within his sleeves. He allowed him to hold his hands as there was no one there to see it anyway.

A few hours later.

Ye Yuyan and Hua Heiyu were the first ones to arrive at the abandoned church in the suburbs. Wei Lou and Jie Yun arrived the second as they were suddenly called back before they could complete their mission. The last one is Officer Ying Wu who returns to the group holding the requested files Ye Yuyan had told him to bring over.

Officer Ying Wu arranged the case photos of the victims on a wooden board with written information about the location and the time-date when the victim was killed. The new cases were included in it as well.

Ye Yuyan said, ”Letʼs begin. Give me something about the case.”

Wei Lou clicked his tongue and said, ”You suddenly call us back and I havenʼt even found my people to check the crime scene. I have nothing!”

”Iʼve also seen the latest victim before returning here. The weapon he used can never be a regular knife. It must be small and extremely sharp for him to slice the stomach. Itʼs just that one... A scalpel.” said Jie Yun.

Officer Ying Wu said, ”The forensic doctors said the same thing. They saw the slash wound was too clean as if it was done by a professional. Letʼs consider the scalpel as the weapon.”

”What about you, Hua Heiyu?” asked Ye Yuyan as everyoneʼs eyes moved to him.

Everyone in this church knows if there is someone who might notice all the hidden details and motives of the killer, only someone as intelligent as Hua Heiyu could formulate some guesses or theories.

Ye Yuyan asked, ”What might be the killerʼs motive for murder?”

”The smell of blood and hate for unwanted unborn children. Because he likes the scent of blood he kills people. Thatʼs also why he kills on rainy days because when it rains the scent of blood is stronger but also isolated by the veil of rain. Itʼs a perfect time to hunt his prey.”

”Plus what he targets is not the woman or omegas but instead their unborn children. His reason must be... A savior mindset. He thought he was saving those unborn children thinking that they are unwanted as only one parent remains to care for him. This killer had a traumatic disorder. He must have been an abused single-parent child and grew up with such a psychological burden.” explained Hua Heiyu.

Silence engulfs the whole area and only the sound of the falling rain and lightning can be heard.
