I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 481: 11.7 First Green Star [Past] What Happened After Ye Xiajieʼs Death? (5)

Hei Anjingʼs soul wobbles from world to world.

He watched his beloved Ye Xiajie live a life of suffering.

He would die due to terminal illnesses.

Die due to beheading

Die due to poisoning.

Die to be pushed out of the cliff.

Die by being murdered.

Die alone in suffering and loneliness.

Hei Anjing had lost the luster of his soul. He had almost become a dull mindless soul as he watch Ye Xiajieʼs life turn better only to die bitterly. It was extremely painful for him to watch but he must bear everything to complete the trial. He keeps his patience watching the scene of death and suffering from lifeless eyes. He had longed to stop reacting to his loverʼs death. Not because he didnʼt care but because he turned a blind eye to it.

In the last world, Ancient.

The wide and huge palace in old times. Thereʼs a palace garden and mansions where consorts and concubines live. At the center is the court hall where the ministers gather to meet with the Emperor. In this world, Ye Xiajie is the Emperor.

He is a tyrant that was feared by everyone. He had ordered his generals for the conquests of usurping the whole country under his reign. He filled his harem with decorative consorts and concubines. They were allowed to live there but they were unable to see the emperor no matter what. All the ministers in the palace knew that their ruler doesnʼt like others touching him and those who had dared have now been buried thirty feet under the ground. He doesnʼt care whether it was male or female as long as they are useful for increasing his power he would marry them in but not touch them afterward.

Because of this, there are some ministers who choose to side with his younger brother, the highest duke in the capital. He had married a few strong families to back him up but a tyrant and a ruler, Ye Xiajie was immovable. They could only take an opportunity to poison him slowly and take his life in an undignified manner.

In this world, since it was the last, the Origin had allowed Hei Anjing to take on a vessel of one of the more characters. He is now an unknown soldier in the palace of the Emperor. His face is all covered and no one is able to see his face but everyone in the palace knew about his undying loyalty to the ruler. In this vessel, he had accompanied the lonely emperor without approaching him. Even at night he would change his clothes to that of the hidden guards and join them naturally but no one noticed that the group would increase by one at night.

As usual, his role is only to observe him, he didnʼt block any hidden agendas for him but would sometimes indirectly help him by sending his real people to advise him. Nothing less, the Emperor knew that someone out there whom he couldnʼt know who it was, is helping him in the dark. He tries to look for this personʼs identity but nothing, in the end, comes up.

He could only accept the result rather than keep a cautious side towards the unknown person which in the end, he would even be more open towards this unknown person than the others. This unknown person would never forget to send gifts for occasions like his birthdays and special festivals. There would always be things left in his room that his servants havenʼt noticed were left there unless he points it out.

This strange situation made Emperor Ye Xiajie realize that the identity of that unknown person that helps him is never normal. His existence is even more special than what he knew and so he turned a blind eye to everything regarding that person. But what he noticed is that this person would never directly get involved in his decisions in life.

If he wanted to marry anyone he could. If he wanted a city to be his then he could invade it. If he leaves the palace this person would also accompany him. Hei Anjing played as his shadow. A shadow he could only feel but never see, touch or hear.

Their lives continue this way. Emperor Ye did as he wished to do. His goal is world peace, ending the war times era in his generation. He caused too much death that can be accumulated as bad karma. But he didnʼt stop and he had finally gotten the whole country under his control and was about to retire as the emperor.

But as per the plot of the world, he would still have to die under the hands of the new rightful protagonist of this world, the eldest son of his younger brother and his eldest nephew. The one who was bestowed by the title as the Benwang.

Emperor Ye had been slowly poisoned by his youngest brother. He knew about it but did not care about it. He had achieved his goals. Though he wouldnʼt allow his greedy younger brother to take his throne his son is a different story. This is a child he had trained himself personally after all. He had adopted this poor child whom his younger brother had despite.

A child of a palace made with no background and only mixed royal blood with no solid support. But Qin Wangye is a kind child. He is righteous and intelligent. He knows what is right and wrong. Hei Anjing had also secretly protected him which the Heavenly laws of the world had allowed and turned a blind at. He is supposed to be an observer but the heavenly laws had been biased towards their most beloved heavenly sons.

This is a loophole that Hei Anjing found that would allow him to show himself in front of the child that his beloved wished to protect. The emperor knew about his existence even though they hadnʼt met personally. The child would then tell stories about Hei Anjing to his adopted father, who is the Emperor himself.

They treated each other as a family and Qin Wangye treated those two as his parents much more than his real blood-related parents.

On the day of his return to the palace, he was stopped but the highest eunuch that serves the Emperor. With his face full of tears he stopped the Crown Prince by the gates. Hei Anjing was with the entourage of the prince, hiding his identity from everyone else.

So when he saw the highest eunuch that serves the emperor while he was away had appeared before him he immediately runs out to the Court hall where Ye Xiajie is destined to die.

Qin Wangye notices the urgency of his mother figure and accidentally calls him, ”Empress Mother!” which he calls only behind the doors.

Everyone was startled as they saw the Crown Prince calling the bodyguard Empress Mother. This title signifies that the bodyguard just now might be a figure with the highest position second only to the Emperor. After all, no one was officially titled as the Empress of this dynasty. They didnʼt know that in secret the Emperor had accepted an illusionary figure like Hei Anjing as his Empress.

Theyʼve never met but their hearts were always together. They treated each other as family and loved ones. Even if they canʼt stay together as one, they always have each other in their heart.

The crown prince tried to follow after his mother only to be stopped by the High Eunuch. This person is one of the few who knew about the hidden Empress but the Emperor ordered him to make sure the Crown Prince personally received his Royal Edict.

High Eunuch said, ”Please stop Wangye. The Empress will be fine. Please receive the last royal edict of Your Majesty the Emperor!”

Hearing the word last Royal Edict every even Qin Wang had fallen to their knees. Those behind the Crown Prince were down to their forehead and only the prince was allowed to raise his back to receive the Royal Edict.

The Highest Eunuch announced,

”The Crown Prince is a kind child with a golden heart. Possessed intelligence beyond human range and righteousness that no one could bend. His future is endless with the guidance of his Empress Mother, the most sacred being in the world, and the support of me, the most powerful Emperor of all time. We had deemed Ye Qinjing as the next Emperor of the Dynasty.

My last order, our dearest son. You must uproot all our enemies. I and your mother might not be able to accompany you on your next journey but we wish you the greatest happiness this world could give. We had grabbed the peace for you. Be happy, son.”

The face of the Highest Eunuch was full of tears as he read the edict and respectfully passed it to the Crown Prince.

”Please receive the Royal Edict, Your Majesty!” He was kneeling before Ye Qinjing as he gave the written edict of Emperor Ye.

Suddenly all the ministers that serve the current Emperor appeared and lowered their heads. Like the Highest Eunuch, theyʼve been all waiting for his arrival.

”The throne cannot be left empty. We know but Your Majesty. We beg you please save the sire!”

The Crown Prince received the edict but his expression is dark and fierce. When he saw his fatherʼs former subordinates welcoming him. He knew that Emperor Ye had abdicated the throne but for some reason, something bad happened that was why his Empress Mother had run out just now.

”To the Court Hall. All generals and soldiers follow after this Benwang... No, follow Zhenʼs orders!”

”Yes, Your Majesty. As you wished...”

Meanwhile at the Court Hall.

Ye Xiajie sat at the throne looking down on his own younger brother the duke. His throne was surrounded by soldiers who had defected to his younger brotherʼs side. His eyes are cold and sharp. His face was pale and his lips were purple, obviously poisoned by something but his back was straight as a rod as he stood before them.

With a dignified aura of nobility, his majestic presence could still overwhelm everyone in the hall despite dying at the moment. At his presence, no one dared to breathe aloud in fear they would instantly die under the gaze of this Tyrant. Only the foolish duke wouldnʼt take notice of the threatening aura the dying emperor is radiating at this moment.

The Duke spoke, ”Give it up Elder Brother I will call you like that before you die okay~ your body had been poisoned by us for years. Though I donʼt know what you did to still live until now you had no other choice but to give up the throne to me Big brother.”

”Give up the throne? To someone as useless as you? Do dream when youʼre sleeping stupid brother.” said Ye Xiajie.

”You!! Just give it up already brother. The poison in your body had no antidote. You also have no heir and not even an Empress. The throne would still be mine in the end.”

A smirk appeared in the corner of Ye Xiajieʼs lips. Though the trickling black blood was very conspicuous no one dared to comment at this moment as the Emperorʼs expression was too scary.

”No Heir? Didnʼt Zhen adopt your son? Weʼve changed his name to Qinjing as his former name is too ugly. No Empress you say... Indeed this Zhen had no Female Empress but... I have a male wife. The one and only empress this Zhen had personally chosen for me. Someone like you can never touch.” said Emperor Ye Xiajie.

BBAANNNGGG!!

His words left others confused but they could still pick up some words like make empress and such. They couldnʼt believe what they were hearing when suddenly the locked doors of the Court hall which were wrapped in metal chains were pushed open from the outside. The sound of metals breaking and clanging on the floor can be heard.

This unimaginable strength was something inhuman. They thought they would see countless people beyond the forcefully opened door but instead, they saw a man wearing bodyguard armor and uniform. There is only one person. The presence of this man-made them immobile.. They couldnʼt move their feet and when they looked down they saw their feet frozen in ice preventing them from moving.
