New Age Of Summoners

”Your majesty, are you alright?”

Looking at King Stephen who spaced out for some time, the royal attendant asked King Stephen.

”Y..yes. I am alright.”

King Stephen came out of his thoughts before nodding his head and asked, ”What about the winners? will your royal family going to increase the rewards for this contest?”

Even though King Stephen had so many questions he needed to ask his master, he controlled his anxiousness as he asked the remaining questions he wanted to ask the royal attendant.

”Of course. The rewards are very generous this time.”

The royal attendant revealed a mysterious smile on his face before saying, ”By the way, His highness asked me to give you a tip.”

’Huh? What is it?’

King Stephen knew that his daughter was going to become the concubine of the Flerton kingdom. So, of course, he was happy about the special treatment he was getting from the Ylercester’s royal family.

”This time, the contest will be special and it is designed in a way that it was favourable to the youngsters who became official summoners. So, His Highness asked me to inform you that, try to send more summoners from your province. Even if one of them enters the top 100, you and your family will get good rewards.”

Even though the royal attendant had a polite smile on his face, he was scoffing in his heart, ’No matter how many special tips and tricks you get, no one will be entering into the top 100 from your province.’

How could a lowly province where there was no pure essence of nature and the laws were completely messed up, produce a good summoner?

’At most, there would be a dozen or so young summoners in this backward province and they would be naturally not strong against the geniuses of the other provinces.’

The royal attendant was very sure about it and looking at King Stephen, he said, ”Okay then, your highness, if you have nothing to ask, I will be taking my leave now.”

”Okay.”

King Stephen was waiting for the royal attendant to say those words and the moment he heard it, he nodded his head with a forced smile.

”One more thing, His highness also ordered you to bring Princess Daphne along with you. He said he would be announcing the marriage between Prince Clen and Princess Daphne prior to the contest.”

Just as the royal attendant was about to leave, he stopped in his steps as he said his last words before disappearing from his place.

’I am waiting for it too.’

King Stephen was looking forward to that event; however, the emperor of this world staying alive was a shock and he started to think that his master was hiding things from him.

”Master, come out right now. I want you to explain some things.”

After the royal attendant left, King Stephen silently left to his cultivation chambers and angrily shouted at his so-called master in his head, asking him to come out.

’Swoosh’

Soon, the golden-coloured mist came out of nowhere and transformed into an old man, who was wearing simple-yet majestic looking robes.

”I want to know exactly what happened a few years ago when you said you are going to the Xacaster province?”

Seeing his master materialize in front of him, King Stephen asked the old man.

”Fine. I will tell you.”

The old man shook his head and soon started saying some things that even shocked King Stephen.

”What? The ’Emperor’ is such a powerful person?”

After hearing the entire story, King Stephen was shocked and asked the old man.

”Just like how I got the title ’Lord of the Water’, the rest of the five lords have their own titles. Among the five lords under the Emperor, including me, the four lords ambushed him, thinking we could kill him; however, we underestimated him a lot as nearly got killed. In the end, we four lords had to sacrifice ourselves to kill the Emperor while injuring the fifth lord who is a loyal servant to the emperor.”

”So, now tell me, if he is still alive, then, how powerful he was?”

The old man had a bitter smile on his face as he asked King Stephen.

Initially, the old man thought that the real emperor was killed and the fifth lord was equally injured just like them. So, he thought he could use King Stephen to recover his body before going back.

But now, since the emperor is alive, the chances of King Stephen becoming the Emperor of the Purple stone world is zero.

”Master, is there nothing we can do about it?”

King Stephen frowned as he anxiously asked the old man because he was dreaming about becoming the Emperor of the world.

The thing is King Stephen was just 35 years old and in this lowly province where the essence of nature was impure, he still managed to reach his current cultivation. So, he assumed that as long as he left this province, his cultivation would progress even faster and reaching the King realm in a couple of years was still possible.

So, he could not give up his dream now.

”Actually, there is a way.”

The old man looked at King Stephen for a moment before saying, ”If you can become the disciple of the other three lords, your chances of becoming powerful enough to go against the emperor might be possible.”

”Huh? But, didn’t you say that they were all dead?”

King Stephen asked with a confused look on his face.

”Haha...do you think we, the lords of the world, will die that easily? We just lost our bodies and have our spirit consciousness still intact.”

The old man was satisfied with the greediness of King Stephen because he knew that becoming the disciple of the four lords is the hardest thing for Stephen Draton; however, as long as he gained the recognition of the other three lords and become their disciples, killing the Emperor is not a hard thing for him.
