New Age Of Summoners

As soon as they heard the guild master’s words, everyone in the room became serious and looked at Rae, the guild master.

”Recently we had a small demon invasion which started from the middle section of the cursed wilderness,”

Soon, the guild master started with the demon which made the five old cultivators raise their brows; however, they didn’t come to any conclusion before the guild master finished his words and continued to listen to his words.

”Even though we managed to resolve that crisis, someone wanted our mercenary guild to be destroyed along with our mercenaries. So, the reason I immediately summoned here because of that,”

The Guild master maintained a serious expression on his face throughout his explanation.

”What?”

”Who is that? Royal family?”

”What did they do?”

”I think those so-called powerful sects, right?”

Soon the five powerful cultivators became enraged when they heard the guild master’s words and asked their questions.

”Calm down a little. It is not a direct confrontation but the top powers of this Zorchester province didn’t send the reinforcements to fight the demons in the cursed wilderness even when I requested them and if the demon army sent that last batch of the demon army, we don’t how many of us could have made it out alive from there,”

The guild master asked the five old cultivators to calm down before briefly explaining about their situation in the cursed wilderness.

”The royal family is always the shameless one compared to the other sects and the five great families,”

Esmund mocked the royal family for their shamelessness.

”Of course, they are shameless. That is the reason, they are able to successfully rule the Zrochester province,”

Elek supported Edmund’s words and mocked the royal family along with him.

”Okay. Stop mocking the royal family,” The Veiled matriarch, Sandra, stopped Esmund and Elek and looked at the guild master before saying, ”So, what are you suggesting? Fight a war against the royal family?”

After finishing her words, she looked at the guild master and waited for his answer.

”Cool. Finally, Rae wants to start a war against the royal,”

”I didn’t expect this from you Rae; however, I like that idea and I am in for it,”

Before the guild master could give a reply to the old lady Sandra, Ramon and Seward spoke their thoughts about the idea of going against the royal family.

Among all the five old cultivators, Seward and Ramon had a great feud with the royal family because they didn’t like the actions of the royal family and continuously opposed them which resulted in many small fights.

Later, these small fights turned into a large fight when the royal family placed a bounty on their heads.

”I know you two are very eager to go against the royal family; however, it will do us no good and our chances are very less if we fight the royal family now,”

However, the guild master shook his head as he disagreed with going against the royal and before anyone could interrupt him, he continued, ”Moreover, you know me too well, right? Am I the person who prefers to fight a war when there is a much simpler way to resolve this situation?”

When he said the later words, his serious expression had turned into a smile.

”Then I became excited about nothing, I guess,”

”Me too,”

Hearing the guild master’s words and thinking about his personality, Seward and Ramon’s faces became bitter as they shook their heads.

”Then why did you summon us if you don’t want to fight a war against the royal family? And what do you want us to do?”

The old lady Sandra shook her head at their bitter faces and turned her head to the guild master before asking him.

”Nothing,”

All of a sudden, the guild master revealed a mysterious smile and replied to the old lady sand in a single word.

”Nothing?”

Everyone in the room, including Edmond and others were confused with the old guild master’s words as they didn’t understand the actual meaning behind his answer.

”Before that let me ask you one thing,”

When he saw the confused faces of everyone in his room, the guild master became satisfied as he continued, ”Did you come here by the way I mention on the paper crane, right?”

This question was directed at the five old cultivators.

”Yes, just like you mentioned which is against our own mercenary guild’s rules set by us,” The old lady Sandra nodded her head as she replied to the guild master.

”I always wanted to do that. Since you said we can break the rules this time, I eagerly flew here without wasting any time,”

Similarly, Esmund also gave a reply to the guild master’s question and he said he was very excited to break the rules of the mercenary guild.

Actually, the establishment of the mercenary guild was the combined effort of the guild master along with these five old and powerful cultivators; however, since the guild master had the good skills in managing a mercenary guild, he became the guild master.

However, no one in the Zrochester province knows that they were still alive after their sudden disappearance twenty years ago.

”Then there is nothing we have to do now,” After hearing their answers to his question, the guild master stood up from his chair and walked to the window before looking through it.

”All we have to do now is to wait for the next move of the top powers,” Looking at the mercenaries outside, the guild master slowly said to others.

”Oh. So you want to let the top powers know that we are still alive and supporting the mercenary guild...good move,”

Soon enough, the old lady Sandra understood the guild master Rae’s plan and nodded her head in agreement.

”My guess is they will come here by tomorrow. So, let’s wait and see,” The guild master nodded his head and returned back to his seat.

Edmond and others were just like sheep that were attentively listening to their words and after all the new information they learned today, their respect towards the guild master increased to another level and they could guess what the guild master was planning; however, they didn’t speak out loud.

Among all the people in the guild masters room, Darbaudr was the only one that was bored to death as he didn’t have any interest in their issues.

”There is also another thing I wanted to ask you,” After discussing some more things, the guild master slowly brought another topic.

”Huh? What is it?”

The five powerful cultivators asked the guild master as they knew that the guild master wouldn’t summon for a single issue and even if he said there were another couple of reasons for summoning them, they would not be surprised much.

”There are some young cultivators under Edmond, I want you to conduct your own tests and pick some of them as your students to train them to pass your inheritance before leaving this Zorchester province after a few years,”

The guild master looked at them and requested his friends to train some of the young cultivators under Edmond.
