Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Outside Celestial Abyss Mountain Pass, the beast tide roared incessantly, yet the pass itself was exceptionally silent.

The vast mountain pass was extremely perilous and steep, and at this moment, bowing down to look, one could only see countless white clouds and mist.

The faces of Ye Xueliang and Ye Qingnian were somewhat solemn. They tried hard to relax, then glanced at the Bald Phoenix and Ye Qingfeng.

At this moment, the Phoenix Bird, due to consuming Red Ginseng, was completely ablaze in fiery red.

Its eyes and beak seemed to be sparking fire.

The few feathers were entirely covered in flames, emitting an astonishing temperature.

This Red Ginseng wasn’t a mortal spiritual object. It was a thousand-year elixir, extremely potent in its medicinal properties.

”Jiji!” The Phoenix Bird cried twice, appearing extremely satisfied.

Its eyes looked at Ye Qingfeng, projecting a divine thought, inviting Ye Qingfeng to venture into Celestial Abyss Mountain Pass to seek spirit medicine.

Upon hearing this, Ye Qingfeng couldn’t help but feel some affection for the Bald Phoenix.

However, entering to pick herbs wasn’t something she would do. Coming to Celestial Abyss Mountain Pass already counted as adventurous, going deeper to pick herbs would be far more dangerous.

Ye Qingfeng pondered for a moment, then spoke:

”Over in the oasis by the Desert Sea, there are also these spirit medicines and spirit pills.” Ye Qingfeng took out the Tier Two Cyan Flame Pill she consumed, as well as the Tier Three Spirit Pill she usually gave Black Crow.

Two pill bottles were opened, round spirit pills emitted tempting pill fragrance, rich fire attribute spiritual energy dispersed around.

At once, the Bald Phoenix’s eyes went straight, and it wasn’t polite at all, quickly reaching out with its long beak to swallow all the spirit pills, not caring about the potent medicinal power.

After swallowing the spirit pills, the Bald Phoenix tapped its beak continuously, as if tasting wine, exceptionally entranced.

Its plumage became even more fiery red, yet showed no sign of inability to refine the pills.

”How is it?” Ye Qingfeng spoke again.

She saw in the Bald Phoenix’s eyes indeed a hint of temptation.

Its gaze then looked into the depths of the mountain, the very center of the endless range.

Seeing this, Ye Qingfeng and the others couldn’t help but feel some worry.

This Bald Phoenix might truly have a formidable background, and its spiritual wisdom was not low.

Thus, they truly didn’t dare casually initiate a Blood Contract.

The Phoenix Bird flapped its wings, soaring into the sky, heading towards Celestial Departure Grassland.

Seeing Ye Qingfeng not move, it chirped twice to summon Ye Qingfeng.

Witnessing this, Ye Qingfeng hurriedly followed.

Only the Xilu Demon King repeatedly spoke to Ye Xueliang.

”Daoist Ye Family, I advise against considering a contract, it’s best not to let the Phoenix Bird leave Celestial Roc Ridge.” The Xilu Demon King, with fear, glanced at the deep mountains.

Though it seems exceptionally peaceful now, it knew, the Demon Emperor went to the Earth Immortal Realm, causing many Demon Kings to fear the Phoenix Bird’s background.

And behind such a demon beast, there are definitely protectors.

Should they use a Blood Contract or take it out of Celestial Roc Ridge, the hidden guarding Demon Kings or even Demon Emperor might directly intervene.

”Thank you for the advice, Xilu Demon King, we’ll be mindful!” Ye Xueliang spoke.

According to Ye Qingfeng’s words, this Phoenix Bird seemed to have appeared in Celestial Departure Grassland before.

It might even be the reason for the fire attribute spirit beast riots there decades ago.

That’s why Ye Xueliang suggested heading to Celestial Departure Grassland.

”Let’s go, Qingnian, have the family explorers return, no need for exploration, let’s leave all exploration missions to the affiliated clans!” Ye Xueliang spoke.

Ye Qingnian nodded upon hearing this, although somewhat envious of Ye Qingfeng, he genuinely felt happy for Ye Qingfeng.

The family exploration indeed didn’t need to continue, if these Demon Kings truly fear the Phoenix Bird, once it reaches the outskirts of Celestial Roc Ridge, those Demon Kings might return.

At that time, the danger would definitely increase significantly.

Of course, the Ye Family’s biggest worry was the power behind the Phoenix Bird.

Once the group left, the mouth of the mountain pass became silent.

Only the wind blew against the mountain stones, creating a rustling sound, rapidly cooling the lingering warmth.

Just as the group stood, a black-robed figure unknowingly landed there.

Its gaze turned towards the direction the group left.

Then muttered.

”The human race has produced another Red Phoenix Spirit Body, unfortunately, it’s unlikely to be from that lineage!” Upon finishing, the black-robed man silently chased after them.

In a place unnoticed by the black-robed figure, several Sand Cloud Scorpions quickly burrowed into the earth and sand, disappearing without a trace.

...

Celestial Roc Ridge, halfway through the path, Ye Xueliang caught up with Ye Qingfeng again.

”Qingfeng, this position is good, let the Phoenix Bird reside here on Cyan Ring Mountain in the future!” Ye Xueliang suggested.

Saying so, he took out several fire attribute spirit pills.

He didn’t have many fire attribute spirit pills, mostly common ones, since he had been raising a Tier Three Three-Eyed Demon Roc.

Now he was giving them all away.

Ye Qingfeng was stunned for a moment but soon understood the significance.

Receiving the spirit pills, she spoke to the Phoenix Bird.

The Bald Phoenix chirped twice, evidently puzzled.

It found the mountain inferior to its original mountain pass, devoid of spirit medicine.

But upon seeing Ye Qingfeng bringing plenty of spirit pills, it chirped excitedly and flew into the mountain.

Ye Xueliang quickly led the group away, not daring to linger.

”Qingfeng, make an agreement with this Phoenix Bird to deliver spirit pills periodically!” The scorpions were left by Ye Xueliang, he and Ye Xuefu had been raising Spirit Scorpions at Hidden Peak.

Among Ye Family’s clansmen, only Ye Jingchong, Ye Xuefu, and Ye Jingcheng can match his expertise in the path of insects.

Having noticed the hidden transformed figure, he had no plan of staying.

Turtle Ancestor couldn’t stay, it concerns Ye Family’s lineage, must not fall into Demon Race’s hands.

Nor could Ye Qingnian or Ye Qingfeng stay, it wouldn’t bode well with the family.

Certainly, cannot leave yet not anger the Phoenix Bird.

He now suspected this Phoenix Bird was a descendant of the Demon Saint.

Otherwise, it couldn’t have reached mid-stage third tier so soon after hatching, with transformed demon beasts guarding it.

Ye Xueliang looked at Xilu Demon King, who now bore a worried face.

The large deer-like face drooped like that of a donkey’s.

It noticed Ye Xueliang’s subtle actions and knew the Phoenix Bird was indeed as it had guessed.

If the Ye Family wanted it to remain, it couldn’t refuse, but the odds of falling were notably high.

”Daoist Xilu, come with us!” Ye Xueliang eventually said.

Upon hearing this, the Xilu Demon King nodded, having no other choice.

Leaving together was better than staying, facing it alone.

”Ji!” The nearby Bald Phoenix didn’t try to keep Ye Qingfeng, merely urging that she must deliver medicine regularly.

It then slept peacefully in the mountain.

The spirit pills consumed had overwhelmed it, including the Tier Three Spirit Pill Ye Qingfeng just gave, wholly swallowed, a feat a Purple Mansion Peak Cultivator might not achieve in refining, yet the Phoenix Bird was indeed alright.

At this moment, it resembled a terrifying moving fire.

”Qingnian, you walk this path with Turtle Ancestor!”

”Qingfeng, you take this path with me!” Ye Xueliang proceeded to instruct.

The split was out of necessity for Ye Xueliang.

Although they hadn’t ripped apart, they were still Demon Race and Human Race.

He indeed harbored greed earlier.

He understood, in such circumstances, anyone would not easily give up trying.

Now, he faced the possible mortal crisis for his attempt!

The only thing he could do was stand between Ye Qingfeng and the pursuing Demon Emperor, buying time for Ye Qingfeng and Ye Qingnian.
