Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 412: Chapter 374: Change of Mindset, Clan Council Plan (2-in-1)

But now the most important thing for the Ye Family is to relocate some mortals.

Even if something happens in the future, the Ye Family will not decline rapidly, leaving no successors.

Moreover, since the Ye Family found a mini world for mortals in the Cyan Cloud Sea Domain, this move becomes even more crucial.

“Hmm, let’s handle it this way!” Ye Haicheng nodded, quite satisfied with Ye Jingcheng’s analysis.

Ye Jingcheng left Lingyun Lake and also passed by the Spirit Beast Valley.

He felt a bit dizzy in his mind; as the Patriarch, the pressure is undoubtedly immense.

Even though everything in the family is already prepared.

But just like how the Xu Family was detected when migrating mortals, the Ye Family faces a similar risk of detection.

After all, considering the current situation, the Ye Family, Chu Family, and Xu Family are the three under observation.

Previously, the Ye Family’s restaurant opening coincided with Master Tianfu’s appearance.

But in the dark, who knows how many cultivators are eyeing the Ye Family.

Fortunately, they still have the Turtle Ancestor, a movable giant grotto heaven, making it convenient to arrange for demon cultivators. After all, the Ye Family inherited part of the Celestial Corpse Sect’s legacy, making disguising viable.

The Ye Family’s Spirit Beast Valley remains lush, housing most of the family’s spirit beasts.

Inside are high-potential inheritable spirit beasts, newly hatched and born spirit beasts, and large groups of spirit beasts. Occasionally, spirit beast roars could be heard, and Ye Jingcheng spotted the Lizard Lord and Tier Two Blood Eagle.

Ye Jingcheng felt some attachment to these two spirit beasts; they were previously Ye Haicheng’s spirit beasts. But after Ye Haicheng broke through to the Purple Mansion, they became less useful, so he dissolved the Blood Contract and left them in the Spirit Beast Valley, waiting for the family cultivators to inherit them.

After all, the pressure on Ye Haicheng and the Beast Turtle Ancestor is substantial.

At this moment, young clan members of the Ye Family, led by Ye Xingqun, were inheriting spirit beasts. Upon seeing Ye Jingcheng, they greeted him.

Ye Jingcheng couldn’t help but recall many past scenes, as he too once participated in spirit beast selection, filled with anticipation and longing for the Ye Family’s Spirit Beast Valley.

He smiled lightly, and a heroic spirit arose in his heart.

He suddenly realized that after his Divine Sense breakthrough, he hadn’t fully unleashed it. This time, inspired by the sight of the Spirit Beast Valley, Ye Jingcheng wanted to see the entire view of Lingyun Peak.

Last time he examined the Ye Family’s Lingyun Peak thoroughly was when he broke through to Foundation Establishment.

As the Divine Sense continually extended outward, ten feet, a hundred feet, a thousand feet, and more…

Just one step away from the Divine Sense of the Tier Three Purple Mansion, releasing it was exceptionally easy.

The scenery of Ye Family’s Lingyun Peak and most surrounding areas instantly came into view.

Mountains, riverbanks, yards, palace halls, bustling clansmen, spirit fields.

It’s midsummer, and many fruit trees are laden with fruits.

Beyond Lingyun Peak are various sub-peaks of the Ye Family, where the spirit medicine gardens and beast rearing valleys are distributed.

However, these spirit medicine gardens only cultivate some lower-tier spiritual medicines, and the beast rearing valley raises some economical spirit beasts.

For example, Forest Pigs and Mountain-devouring Rats are raised there.

Among them, the Lush Forest Pig group has grown significantly over ten years, each extremely robust, while the Mountain-devouring Rat population has multiplied several times, making countless nests in the bamboo forest.

Further into the distance, there are numerous acres of spirit fields.

These spirit fields are filled with various spirit rice, including the Cyan Rice Spirit Rice Ye Jingcheng often consumed before, as well as Blood Jade Spirit Rice.

The Ye Family arranges for Qi Cultivation cultivators who see no hope in cultivation and some innate martial artists among the mortals to tend these spirit fields.

Of course, being a Beast Taming Clan, the Ye Family does not worry about pest problems, so one cultivator can manage a large area.

Ye Jingcheng, watching the details of the Ye Family, suddenly found his mind becoming rather clear.

It was as if he returned to his days living secluded in a small yard in the south mountains, over a decade ago.

For a moment, he felt an innate joy.

As if he found something.

Indeed, he never was fond of hustle and bustle; he preferred the tranquility of mountains and waters, which is his immortal path.

But recently, he noticed himself becoming eager for quick success, anxious.

This is contrary to his immortal path, which is why his mind has been heavy.

The patriarchal title should have made him more determined on his immortal path, not constrained by the title.

Thinking about this, Ye Jingcheng felt his state of mind elevate significantly, and the gloom in his mind dissipated a lot.

Of course, he had gone through so much recently; the deaths of Ye Haiyun and Ye Haitian, the family crisis, the expectations of elders, all weighed heavily on him.

But as Xue Fan said, supporting the entire Ye Family depends on everyone, not just his efforts.

With this thought, Ye Jingcheng strode into the Clan Assembly Hall.

He is not a god; once the family makes a decision, it should be acted upon. All Hall Entrances of the Ye Family should express their opinions.

Ye Jingcheng began to gather clan members of Lingyun Mansion and Inner Hall members.

The meeting wasn’t set at the third floor of the Treasure Tower but was decided in the Clan Assembly Hall.

It also represents the seriousness of the matter this time.

As for secrecy, he contemplated for a long time, knowing that among the senior members of the Ye Family, those in the late stage of Qi Cultivation and above, it would be tough to maintain secrecy without timely unison.

Concealing from their people, on the contrary, might cause more issues.

Much like the Xu Family.

In contrast, Ye Family’s Inner Hall members are all above the late stage of Qi Refining and are Beast Communication Pattern cultivators. The trustworthiness is reliable, and with the Forbidden Array previously set by Beast Communication Pattern, there’s no fear of Soul Search.

It’s just the Spirit Inquiry Talisman they need to be cautious with, but it shouldn’t pose a problem if handled carefully.

Simply asking about the mortals’ whereabouts and using the Spirit Inquiry Talisman may offend the Ye Family without good reason, so very few cultivators would go that far.

Moreover, there’s an option not to answer the Spirit Inquiry Talisman.

However, doing so would openly suggest there are issues within the Ye Family.

But by this point, who wouldn’t already suspect the Ye Family?

Of course, before that, he transmitted sound to Ye Haicheng.

Ye Haicheng was also highly supportive of this, with most of the secrets concealed below the late stage of Qi Cultivation and those without Beast Communication Patterns.

This almost allowed full control.

As Ye Xingliu, Ye Xinghan, Ye Xingqun, and other elders arrived, a grand family meeting commenced.

What delighted Ye Jingcheng was that after many days, Ye Jingli finally exited seclusion and is now a Foundation Establishment Cultivator.

To the Ye Family, which is in urgent need of cultivators, Ye Jingli’s breakthrough to Foundation Establishment is indeed a great event.

The only slight concern is that Ye Jingli’s personality hasn’t changed.

The smile on his face never disappears.

He would occasionally say a word or two to others, sharing breakthrough experiences, and proudly boast about his Red Flame Python, which has now broken through to the equivalent of the Qi Cultivation Eighth Layer.

More importantly, the Red Flame Python can spit fire snakes, seemingly not much inferior to the Red Flame Fox of the late stage of Tier One.

“Fellow clansmen and elders, today Jingcheng has received word that a Beast Tide is imminent. To prevent mortal lives from being destroyed, the family has decided to relocate a batch of mortals into the mini world.”

“So, in the coming days, the family will need to create some chaos attributed to Evil Cultivators, slaughtering mortal towns as a pretext for the family to relocate mortals!” Ye Jingcheng said.

“If any of you have better opinions, feel free to voice them, but it’s absolutely forbidden for information about this matter to leak!” Ye Jingcheng’s words were firm and stern.

Upon hearing this, all clan members were somewhat in an uproar since another Beast Tide means crisis for the Ye Family.

After all, the Ye Family would be the first to bear the brunt.

They still vividly remember when the Mo Family was wiped out in the previous incident.

Secretly transferring mortals is also a taboo in the Taihang Commandery since the Commandery was established to resist the demon beasts of the Taihang Mountain Range.

“May I ask, how many mortals does the family intend to relocate?” Ye Xingqun asked.

“As many as possible!” Ye Jingcheng replied.

This response immediately made everyone furrow their brows.

If only a few mortals were being relocated, it would be easy to hide, but relocating so many is certainly problematic.

“Patriarch, why not announce to the public, under the pretext of an Evil Cultivator’s revenge, that our Ye Family has killed a senior evil cultivator? It’s not difficult to do—kill a Foundation Establishment Evil Cultivator. Then, say the evil cultivator seeks revenge, and our Ye Family is unable to defend so many mortal towns, resulting in blood sacrifices!”

“We perform blood sacrifices at intervals on the villages, and at intervals, eliminate some demon cultivators!”

“Currently, there are quite a few demon cultivators in the Taihang Commandery; we don’t even need to use our people!” Ye Jingyun suggested.

This suggestion quickly gained unanimous approval from everyone.

Ye Jingcheng was also very satisfied with it.

The news about the Cyan Cloud Sea Domain and the Turtle Ancestor is hidden, and even if trouble arises for a family member, it will only be believed that the Ye Family is concerned about the Beast Tide.

In the future, facts will prove, there really is a Beast Tide!
