Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

”Xiao You, I’m fine! Don’t worry! I’m really doing well here, Young Master Yao is treating me very well!” Xia Qingqian spoke earnestly, afraid Ji Shiyou wouldn’t believe her.

How long had it been since they last met?

Ji Shiyou was still the same as before — always probing whenever she sensed something off about Xia Qingqian!

Only then did Ji Shiyou relax, breathing a sigh of relief before asking, ”Qian Qian, what does President Beitang look like anyway? He can’t be some old guy, right? How did you meet him? How could you like an old guy? I’ve never known you to have such... adventurous tastes?”

Xia Qingqian was truly amused by Ji Shiyou; she actually dared to call Beitang Yao an old man. If Beitang Yao, that pompous fellow, heard Ji Shiyou say this, he would surely throw Ji Shiyou into space!

”Xiao You, how am I supposed to answer you when you say so much all at once?” Xia Qingqian tugged at the blanket, shaking her head and sighing as she looked at Ji Shiyou.

Ji Shiyou playfully stuck out her tongue at Xia Qingqian, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Although they hadn’t seen each other in four years, upon reuniting, they didn’t feel distant at all. It was as if they had never been apart.

”Qian Qian, why do you like sitting here? Can you take me around and show me the place? It’s rare to visit the legendary Wolong Mountain, we should at least tour around a bit.”

As Xia Qingqian heard this, she lowered her head and remained silent.

The servant, who was organizing Xia Qingqian’s things nearby, looked worriedly at her after hearing Ji Shiyou’s words. Young Master Yao had already instructed that no one should mention this matter in front of Miss Xia, so as not to affect her recovery.

The servant quickly spoke up, ”Miss Ji, if you want to tour, I can do it for you. Miss Xia is not convenient right now.”

”Not convenient?” Ji Shiyou looked puzzled, gripping Xia Qingqian’s hand and asking, ”Qian Qian, what’s up with your health? You’re a medical student, how could you be so careless?”then, furrowing her brows, asked: ”Could it be that you’re...?”

Xia Qingqian suddenly lifted her eyes, smiling slightly as she looked at Ji Shiyou, ”How could it be? I just have trouble moving for now, but I’ll be fine in a few days.” Ji Shiyou was just the same as three years ago, her personality unchanged, straightforward as ever, saying whatever came to her mind!

Indeed, if Ji Shiyou turned into a lady, she wouldn’t be Ji Shiyou anymore. This Ji Shiyou was truly her Ji Shiyou!

”Where are you unwell? Let me take a look?” Ji Shiyou, seeing Xia Qingqian looking weak, knew she surely wasn’t doing well. How could she be covered in scars if she was truly doing fine?

Though living in such a mansion, the price paid mustn’t have been small, right?

”I, I have a mild form of Osteogenesis Imperfecta. I accidentally broke my leg a few days ago, so I can’t walk now.” Xia Qingqian confessed honestly. She didn’t want to deceive Ji Shiyou, ”I’m fine, it’s just temporary!”

Ji Shiyou was greatly agitated, ”What do you mean by temporary? Don’t forget, I study medicine just like you! Osteogenesis Imperfecta, that’s serious. There’s no treatment in either national or international circles yet. How can you just say it’s fine? Xia Qingqian, how did you get such a condition?”

Seeing Ji Shiyou’s eyes slightly wet, Xia Qingqian’s heart tightened. She squeezed Ji Shiyou’s hand in return and shook her head, ”Xiao You, don’t be so upset, I’m really fine. I’m not scared, so why are you crying like this?” Seeing Ji Shiyou crying because she was diagnosed with such a condition, Xia Qingqian felt extremely uncomfortable inside, ”Now you know why I said on the phone to delay meeting for a few days? I just didn’t want you to find out I have this condition... I was afraid you’d start crying... heh heh...”
