Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 248: Chapter 249: The Lease Is Up, Time to Move Out

As soon as Mu Shini walked out of the villa, Shen Chengcheng was waiting at the gate.

”Nian Nian, are you okay? What did the uncle want with you? Did you ask him who he is and how he came to our professor’s villa posing as a gigolo?” Shen Chengcheng asked, pretending to be curious when he saw Mu Shini emerge from Bo Sishen’s temporary villa.

”Don’t ask. It was so embarrassing! It turns out that Xia Tian arranged for me someone who’s not a gigolo but a legitimately employed person. He’s an actual professor...” Mu Shini said in utter frustration, ”Now you’ve signed me up for his class as well. If I offend him, I’m dead! I saw the principal bowing and scraping to him, he must be a difficult man to deal with.”

”Let’s go. We have no classes this afternoon. Are we eating at the cafeteria or dining out?” Shen Chengcheng nudged Mu Shini, ”Should we invite the black car professor with us?”

”No!” Mu Shini replied firmly!

”What should we eat then? Hotpot, sushi, or stir-fry?” Shen Chengcheng asked.

Sitting in the classroom for three consecutive classes, I’m about to pass out from hunger!

”I’ll go back to the apartment for a cup of noodles...” Mu Shini had lost her appetite.

”I’ll make you a cup of noodles.” Shen Chengcheng replied to her.

”Let’s go.” Mu Shini nodded.

When the two of them reached the apartment, Mu Shini had just gotten home and was about to take out her access card to open the door when she saw the landlord standing at the doorway. Mu Shini was a bit taken aback, ”Landlord, wasn’t my rent due at the end of the month?”

Rent collection already? She didn’t have any money.

”Oh, Miss Mu, here’s the situation: Miss Li’s contract here has expired, you have to move out today because new tenants will be moving in tonight. They talked to me three months ago and I promised to notify them as soon as the current tenant’s lease was up.” The landlord delivered the ultimatum.

From a landlord living off rental income, fortune struck with a gust, and he snagged a huge sum of money somehow.

Even with the high local property prices, his small apartment wasn’t worth ten million yuan, yet someone made a one-time payment to buy it outright.

And they wanted him to follow the script and tell Mu Shini the procedures.

”No way, it’s already expired? Landlord, then please renew it for me, I need to continue living here.” Mu Shini turned pale with fright; having to move out today threw her into utter confusion.

This surprise was too sudden.

Besides, Li Xiaotian hadn’t mentioned the lease expiring before leaving!

”No can do, the new tenant has already paid the deposit and a year’s rent,” the landlord said.

”Then are there any other available apartments in this building? I can move there...” Mu Shini suddenly suspected the landlord was hiking the rent indirectly. She gritted her teeth and said, ”Landlord, if you think my rent is too low, you can raise it...”

”It’s not about that; we need to follow the contract. Miss Mu, I am very busy. Please pack up and move out as soon as possible,” the landlord said, pretending to be very busy.

Mu Shini was in a tight spot, looking at the landlord with a pleading expression, ”Landlord, can you show a little flexibility?”

The landlord shook his head, ”I asked your friend at the time if she wanted to renew, and she said no, just move out at the end of the lease. Miss Mu, please hurry up. I won’t charge you rent for the half-month.”

”Alright, I’ll pack up and move out then...” Mu Shini felt the sadness of being chased out for the first time.

”Nian Nian, why not move upstairs to my place?” Shen Chengcheng suggested.

”I don’t want to be your maid or get surrounded by your fangirls. Can you look for any nearby vacant apartments for rent?” Mu Shini asked Shen Chengcheng for help.

Ten minutes later, Shen Chengcheng walked into the room with a tablet in hand and said to Mu Shini, ”Nian Nian, there are no vacant apartments nearby.”

”...” Mu Shini was speechless, this was just too strange!

”Then I’ll move back to the school dorm!” Mu Shini bit her lip and made a decision.
