Cultivation: Starting from a Mortal Bone

”Your Majesty, that little fox spirit keeps clinging to Qin Yu, aren’t you afraid he might be lured away?”

The Empress Dowager placed her palm on the Empress’s fragrant shoulder, casually massaging it, while continually mumbling.

The Empress’s eyebrows slightly furrowed; every previous time she felt weary, the Empress Dowager’s Moonlight Power always made her feel at ease.

However, since the last encounter with Qin Yu, now even with the Empress Dowager’s company, it couldn’t help her much.

”Your Majesty, I am asking you.”

The Empress Dowager seemed dissatisfied, muttering for a long time without seeing any response from the Empress, making her think she was speaking in vain.

”If you have such concerns, you might as well worry a bit more about yourself.”

The Empress sighed, not looking at her, just responding casually.

”I’m fine, what’s there to worry about?”

The Empress Dowager was puzzled.

The Empress Dowager was a blessing, capable of turning misfortune into fortune; not even the Great Phoenix outside the Imperial Palace could affect her.

The Empress remained silent.

These days, she was in poor condition, even unable to spare her mind to pay attention to the Empress Dowager’s actions; however, from Qin Yu’s attire, it was clear he had certainly feasted his eyes these days.

That guy was not easy to deal with.

”Your Majesty...”

”Speak plainly if you have something to say.”

The Empress, weary and anxious, only wished this blessing to quiet down.

”Then I will speak plainly!”

The Empress Dowager paused her movements, whispering, ”Could you perhaps betroth Little Ling’Er to Qin Yu?”

”Hmm?”

The Empress slightly raised her eyelids, her face becoming serious.

Ling’Er was one of the people the Empress cared about most!

Due to her constitution, she constantly suffered, and the Empress originally planned to protect and cherish her for life, never considering letting this sister marry.

However, Qin Yu’s appearance not only alleviated Ling’Er’s constitution issues but also showed a possibility for complete recovery.

Precisely because of this, the Empress was so tolerant towards Qin Yu.

No.

It could even be considered indulgence.

Otherwise, with Qin Yu’s exceptional talent and abilities, the Empress wouldn’t allow him near the Empress Dowager and Little Ling’Er.

As for the matter of letting Qin Yu and Ling’Er become husband and wife, the Empress had considered it, but...

Thinking of Qin Yu’s show of power during his Crossing the Celestial Tribulation.

The Empress couldn’t help feeling apprehensive.

Ling’Er’s body is frail, how could she bear it?

Surely Qin Yu considered this issue too, otherwise, with his temperament, facing Little Ling’Er’s clingy behavior, how could he resist?

”In two years, I will personally arrange their marriage.”

The Empress contemplated for a moment before giving a response.

She was worried that after betrothing Ling’Er to Qin Yu, he might no longer need to consider the Princess’s status, and regarding Ling’Er...

Cause harm.

Two years is but a fleeting moment for a cultivator.

And by then, Ling’Er will not be considered young.

”No.”

The Empress Dowager became anxious; her emotions surged, the Great Phoenix almost ready to fly, questioning the Empress.

”Regardless, she will eventually marry Qin Yu, so why wait two years?”

The Empress Dowager was full of confusion.

This tyrant, hasn’t she noticed how sticky the little fox spirit is to Qin Yu?

Forget two years, even two days would worry the Empress Dowager that Qin Yu might be lured away.

”I am weary, quiet down first.”

The Empress, disturbed by her noise, felt a headache coming on but remained firm.

Not getting the desired outcome, the Empress Dowager appeared unwilling, rocking her body, the Great Phoenix likewise swaying elegantly.

Wings flapping energetically, decidedly... lively.

”Your Majesty?”

Just when the Empress Dowager intended to continue pressing for the marriage arrangement, she found, to her astonishment, that the Empress was already breathing evenly.

”Asleep?”

The Empress Dowager couldn’t believe it.

She hadn’t finished speaking, how could you sleep?

The Empress Dowager cautiously leaned forward, the Great Phoenix swayed before the Empress, yet she continued to breathe steadily, seemingly entirely unaware.

On the bed, the Empress was covered only by a thin veil, her graceful curves fully revealed.

Unfortunately, such a splendid scene was witnessed only by the Empress Dowager.

”Could she really be ill?”

The Empress Dowager’s heart tightened; she desperately wanted to summon Qin Yu immediately.

Of course, the Empress Dowager’s thoughts were simple; it was absolutely not because of sharing the beautiful view, but out of concern for the Empress’s health.

”Alas...”

After a while, the Empress Dowager sighed softly, her face full of sorrow.

None of them knew how to ease her concerns as the Empress Dowager.

Like the Empress Dowager, there was another who couldn’t sleep—

The Beauty Clan Leader in the void.

Tu Jiujiu had disappeared for more than a day, and that human race and his beloved wives were missing too.

Why didn’t he secretly leave the Imperial Palace?

Could he have gone to bully Tu Jiujiu?!

The more she thought like this, the more worried she became.

She even endlessly imagined incredibly frightening scenes.

The Beauty Clan Leader’s eyes flashed with determination.

No, she couldn’t wait any longer!

She must find an opportunity to ask him personally!

However.

The thought of interacting with the human race made the Beauty Clan Leader’s skin crawl visibly.

Especially knowing that this was a human race with a long tail, her inner resistance grew even stronger.

It felt as though being looked at by him would defile her.

Yet in the end, she couldn’t abandon the little fox.

After all, it was Qingqiu’s future hope.

...

The next day.

The Empress Dowager did not come to Huayang Hall.

Qin Yu took Little Ling’Er on a trip to Jade Flower Palace, then learned that the Empress Dowager was accompanying the Empress.
