Cultivation: Starting from a Mortal Bone

”Alright!”

Qin Yu still agreed.

Just as Su Xiyue said, no matter what, it didn’t change the fact that Leng Ruyu was his woman.

If he acted too indifferent, wouldn’t that make him seem cold and heartless?

Besides, could he really bear to let that little demoness leave him?!

This was also why Qin Yu had never called out Leng Ruyu’s little schemes.

Su Xiyue didn’t know how much Warm Current Leng Ruyu had gotten, but didn’t he know the count himself?

He really wanted to see if that little demoness would still keep up her stubborn front!

After all, the scene of being scolded by Leng Ruyu was still fresh in his memory. If he didn’t win back some ground, he was afraid he’d never be able to let it go.

He hadn’t even gone yet, and was already starting to look forward to it!

...

”Xi...”

Leng Ruyu was just about to get up and greet them, but saw Qin Yu stride briskly in.

And behind him—Su Xiyue wasn’t there.

Leng Ruyu sat back down, putting on a look of casual indifference, and asked, ”Why is it just you, little cultivator? Where’s Sister Xiyue?”

Could it be that... she can’t get out of bed?!

A strange gleam flashed at the bottom of her eyes, and her cheeks suddenly flushed inexplicably.

”Little cultivator?”

Qin Yu’s eyelids lowered, a trace of amusement flickering across his gaze, as he slowly strolled toward her.

”Isn’t that what you are?”

Leng Ruyu’s lips curled into a faint, ambiguous smile. Even as she saw him drawing closer, there wasn’t a trace of fear; instead, she teased in a provocative tone, ”What, don’t tell me you’re not convinced?”

No wonder she was born with such enchanting allure—a true demoness!

Just a glance, a few words, were enough to stir the fires within one’s heart.

Knowing full well she was deliberately provoking him, trying to make him angry—Qin Yu still couldn’t control his... temper.

He immediately swept this nation-ruining demoness into his arms, holding her tight by the waist.

”You!... Put me down, right now!”

Leng Ruyu was caught completely off guard. Her cries of surprise were tinged with mock reproach, but only added to her bewitching charm.

She instinctively tried to break free.

This was, after all, still in the courtyard. She wasn’t used to it; a bit of resistance was perfectly normal.

Yet, she quickly sensed something was off.

With her cultivation, she should be able to slip out of Qin Yu’s grip effortlessly.

But this time, she’d hit iron.

Forget getting away—Qin Yu didn’t even waver a bit.

”Huh?”

In her surprise, she caught Qin Yu grinning widely at her.

It was just a perfectly ordinary smile, yet made Leng Ruyu’s heart flutter with anxiety.

What the hell?

She had this feeling, this little cultivator really seemed to have changed.

But last time they’d been close, his physical strength was only at the peak of Qi Refining. At most, even if he’d improved, it should only be at Foundation Establishment early stage, right?!

Lost in that thought for just a second, she suddenly saw the world blur—and found herself already being carried into the house.

Once inside, that nervousness disappeared instead.

”Hehehe...”

She covered her mouth in a laugh, like silver bells ringing—clear and sweet, her smiles dazzling, eyes bright, every move and gesture exuding irresistible charm, as if she were an enchanting demoness who could steal one’s soul.

Just a giggle held a trace of indescribable temptation, enough to make anyone fall helplessly under her spell.

This was what it meant to be a peerless demoness!

She pressed her slender pale fingers lightly to Qin Yu’s chest, her lips quirking in playful mockery, as if to toy with the man before her. ”So impatient? Can’t wait anymore?”

However, the instant those delicate fingertips touched Qin Yu’s chest, a flash of undisguisable shock flitted through the depths of her clear eyes.

So powerful!

So impossibly strong!

How could this little cultivator’s body be this formidable?!

A flurry of doubts rose in her heart. Could it be Qin Yu had been secretly training his body every day?

But that didn’t seem right.

Within the Demon Sect, there were indeed some Body Tempering Techniques, but very few bothered to practice them. After all, compared to Qi Refining, Body Tempering progressed slowly, the process was extremely grueling, and only those with immense willpower could endure it. That’s why this difficult path was mostly the helpless choice for those with mediocre Root Bones and talent.

Of course, there were still rare geniuses, drawn by curiosity or a desire for challenge, who dabbled in body tempering. But even after a hundred years, their physique would only be equivalent to the third or fourth layer of Qi Refining.

Nowadays, any cultivator with Root Bone better than Upper Grade Mortal Bone wouldn’t even try it.

So, even if Qin Yu had been tempering his body day and night, there was no way he’d improve this fast.

Just what on earth happened?!

Lost in thought for just an instant, she realized she’d already been laid on the bed.

Seeing the little demoness in such a daze, Qin Yu couldn’t hide a bit of smugness.

He didn’t act shy or deferential anymore, but looked down at her, scrutinizing the little demoness from above.

Tsk!

No denying it—this Senior Sister of the Demon Sect, compared to Cyan Mountain Sect’s Saintess, they were absolute opposites.

One was holy and ethereal, as if a fairy had descended to the mortal world—just entertaining the thought of defiling her felt like a heinous crime, unfit for this world.

The other was born with an enchanting bone, like an enchanting demon or a seductive fox spirit—just one look and she could ignite the flames in your heart, making self-restraint all but impossible.

Perhaps...

Leng Ruyu’s original personality wasn’t like this. It was just that, being born with such bone-deep allure, even with a cold face, she was still that mesmerizing.

Gradually, her temperament became unpredictable—her moods shifting wildly, impossible to pin down.

Perhaps...

It was from that time onward that she began to feel jealous of Su Xiyue. Why—why did everyone revere the First Fairy, but dared to offend someone of equal status—her?!

So, she had to become the First Fairy!

”Little cultivator, could it be you’re scared?”

Leng Ruyu’s words brimmed with provocation.

She’d always viewed Qin Yu as Su Xiyue’s man—she... was just borrowing him for a while.

If it’s a loan, of course you have to return it eventually.

How could she possibly catch feelings?

So, her Romantic Point toward Qin Yu had barely changed at all.

Qin Yu ignored her taunting. His fingers traced along her face, a complex look flashing through those burning eyes.

Maybe some people are just like this—they have to disguise themselves, appear unapproachable, so that anyone daring to cross them must be prepared to bleed.

A rose with thorns.

Now, Qin Yu was no longer afraid of her thorns.

”Don’t tell me you’re powerless...”

Heh!

Leng Ruyu’s lips twitched up a bit in response.

Alright, alright, alright!

Let’s see if you can keep up that tough talk in a bit!

Qin Yu didn’t rush to... strip her or change her clothes; instead, he took off his outer robe first.

Leng Ruyu was about to say something, her dainty lips parting, but not a sound escaped. At that moment, her eyes went wide—a nameless fear quietly arising in her heart.

So... scary!

She was actually still a little traumatized by those previous two encounters with Qin Yu.

And now, this bastard had... grown again!

His frame was even more towering!

She actually felt herself shrinking back a little.
